Status after interview went from AP to READY?

Be patient. Let them do their jobs. Mine was a bit similar to urs. It would be issued anytime soonest. For them to keep ur passport is a positive sign that ur visa would be issued. Stay positive nd have faith.

hello everyone I did my Interview two weeks a go and went smooth with out any problem , they did request extra document and I sent it with a few days and they did keep my passport .

when I check my case on ceac website it show Administrative Processing but has been three update sense the interview is this normal ???? this my last update

dwheels76 I’m truly grateful for all the very helpful information and tips we received from you and other people here on these forums thank you so much and God bless you . Good luck to all of you for a speedy end to your visa journey ..I had my Interview on 11^th of this month Consulate...... interview went well.. they did not ask much beside the Original marriage license and police certificate and medical report and Birth Certificate they didn’t ask to see any of my supporting documents I had beside the honeymoon and the wedding photo . but he requested extra document (government release authorization ) and they ask me to drop it at the embassy when I get it (I drop it the next day ) and they did keep my passport . my question is been more than one week now when I check t ceac website never change sense the interview date it say Administrative Processing is this normal ??? do you think I should call embassy is almost two weeks sense the interview ?? how many days I should wit before I call them ??. We are so glad that this process went smoothly . thank you everyone and good luck

they must be prepping your case to be shipped....Just watch your case on CEAC site and see if it changes to "In Transit"....It will be shipping very soon.

The embassy will have everything you sent to NVC, so no need to bring anymore financial forms/evidence unless they ask for it or you're using assets the meet the requirements.

Well sorry to hear. There's nothing you can do about the process. He has a 1 year Ban can't change that. You could decide to have the child in Jamaica so he is there. But otherwise it will be a year. Where he will be tested and has to go to counseling than he can have his interview in a years time. Sorry.

if the child born overseas is he still US citizen

Well there's nothing to track. Once you have an interview the P4 (Interview Letter) Usually gets emailed 24 to 48 hours later. About 2 to 3 weeks before interview they usually send your casefile to embassy.

All you have is ceac.state.gov and check Visa status. It will continue to say "AT NVC" until it reaches the embassy than it changes to READY and you get a Case Status date.

If you want to know if you have interview call that's my advisement.
