  1. Hey guys, so i came here on a K1 visa at the end of 2015, i received my EAD and my Permanent resident card on the same day.

My EAD runs out on April 20th 2017

My Permanent resident card runs out on April 20th 2017

Im sorting out renewing my EAD but im confused on what documents i need (the visa process was super stressful for me, i totally blocked it all from my head until i realized it needed renewing)

ive read about it being free for some people and not for others so im not sure on the cost either.

Could anyone help me and give me an exact list of what i need to send off

    Thanks in advance

  2. hi guys! so im from the UK and ive been living here since Dec 15 and me and my husband got married on January 21st 16 on a K1 visa.

Weve been looking at tickets to visit my family next june but i have a few questions.

first is about my passport, obviously i have a british passport with my maiden name in it, can i travel with it and take my marriage certificate to explain the name difference on my green card? or should i just get a new passport? and if i get a new passport, do i have to do it through the UK government still?

Also, my husband has never traveled out of the USA so he doesnt have a passport or anything, i know that to travel to the USA as a visitor you have to have an ESTA, does the UK have anything like this that we will need to acquire for him before we travel (other than a passport obviously)?

  3. My husband and his mum are both sponsoring me because he doesn't earn all that much but his mum does

they've both filled out an affidavit of support for me and we assumed all we needed were copies of their tax returns, as that's all they ask for in the forms.

ive just been reading various posts on the forums and other people have huge lists of various income proofs they have sent off with the I-864, im now worried, do i need more proof?

  4. Hi guys!

i finally made the big move a week ago on my K1 visa, we said we would have a week just cuddling and enjoying eachothers company again then get on with all of the paperwork after so here we are!

    Im currently getting my head around all of the stuff for my SSN and marriage licence and thought id have a better look into the AOS and i have a question;

I had my medical in London and they said that i was missing one vaccination needed for my AOS, i then had this missing jab done at my GP office a few weeks after and got them to reprint my vaccination record which i thought would be okay for my AOS paperwork. I'm now really confused on what to do about the I-636 form.

i don't know which parts to fill in and if i have to still get a civil surgeon to fill it in for me?

    Any help is greatly appreciated

  5. hi guys, i had my interview a few weeks ago and got accepted (woo!) im flying out on the 9th of December.

When we originally filed, he was living with his mum and that was where we wrote that i would be living, however, his mum has now sold her house and moved in with her boyfriend, and my fiancée has found us a house and has moved into that.

im not sure if i need to tell someone about the change of address as i already have my visa? and who would i need to tell anyway?

    Thanks

  6. hi guys! i'm moving to the USA on the 9th of December, i'm planning on taking all of my clothes and other stuff i'm going to need for the winter, then my mum and brother are coming to visit in march and they're going to bring the rest of my clothes for me.

ive sold alot of my belongings to raise more money for moving but there are still some things i would like to eventually have with me that i cant really put in a suitcase (household items, my pc ect)

i was wondering if anyone who had recently made the move had any advice for me on the best shipping companies and rough prices?

i dont have anything huge like furniture, just lots of small items that could easy be packed into a box

    Thanks in advance!

Thank you so much, I got my birth certificate sorted today so now I have everything on that list. do I need to make copies of any of it? or are just the originals ok?

  9. so my interview is in 2 days, I suddenly realised this morning that I had no idea where my birth certificate is.. had a massive panic attack, cried, but I after looking, I can order a new one and collect it in the morning. (phew)

except now this has me panicking and thinking everything is going to go wrong and i'm not going to have the right things with me.

can someone who has recently had their interview in London list the things I need to make sure I have to take, so that I can go over everything and try to calm myself down a little!

    Thanks in advance
