  1. someone had posted this handy link: scroll to the bottom to see the total for each service center: (this is as of Dec 2014)

    http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Resources/Reports%20and%20Studies/Immigration%20Forms%20Data/Family-Based/I130_performancedata_fy2015_qtr1.pdf

it looks as though the CSC services a lot more i-130's for relatives and not spouses compared to other servicing centers. Makes sense now - only a few of the cases for spouses are sent to CSC soo you basically hit the lottery if you get sent there. Its amazing to see the number of petitions that get sent in!

It almost helps me feel better about this whole process... almost.

If I wanted to play the lottery I would enter the DV lottery LOL

  2. Welcome to your NVC Customer Care Experience Feedback.

While reading this thread it has become apparent to me that calling the NVC to get notifications is VERY far from a pleasant experience. Actually, some of the comments I have read here have been down-right scary. Having worked in the service industry my entire life, I know that dealing with paying customers can sometimes be a difficult experience but that has always been my job so I have had to learn to view each customer as an individual with specific needs.

No two customers are the same and every customer deserves to be treated politely and with decency. This is apparently the complete opposite of what the NVC representatives are doing to us. And because they know we are probably too scared to be rude back (lest they somehow slow down our case), their treatment of us is going unchecked.

As a paying customer of the NVC I don't accept this and I would like to make a positive difference in the following way:

I am going to compile a Customer Care Experience Feedback spreadsheet which will include answering the following the following questions from anyone who would like to take part:

    1) How long did you wait on the phone to speak to a human at the NVC?

    2) WHO did you speak to? (Please note that this is VERY important. It will give an idea of whether a specific group of representatives are being rude or whether it has become the norm at the call in center)

    3) Give an overall rating of 1 to 10 for your experience. 1 being awful and 10 being excellent.

    4) Any additional comments you'd like to add.

Please note that this is entirely anonymous, you can either post your replies HERE, or you can send me a private message or you could even keep it yourself for your own review once your case is completed.

  3. start cry after you hit 350 days...sometimes sarcasm isn't the best way to deal with things especially if others have waited ( and are still waiting) longer than you. Everyone knows TSC is slow. Its really not necessary to keep starting threads to cry about it. GOODNESS....

"Goodness had nothing to do with it" - Mae West

why are you so upset? there is a rewards program with USCIS that gives you points based on the amount of time it takes for your visa to process. The longer you wait, the better it is.

10 days = USCIS Bumper Sticker

60 days = $10 off your next application fee

200 days = Special code to avoid wait times to speak to Tier 2 officers

365 days = Electronic or Telephone RFE correction

720 days = Meet and greet with Tier 2 officers and Consular officals

1000 days = Tour of the Texas Service Center, Radioactive suit included

6000 days = Upon death, your application is automatically approved, and you will be considered a citizen of the United States!

So yeah, I would rather be in your position Brett! Be patient!

    LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!

    Whahahahahahahahaa

  4. I thought "shippingforecast" was being sarcastic when (s)he said "Sarcasm level over 9,000!" about your post "I'm sorry you see it that way. If you feel aggrieved or attacked then report me to the mods. That is your recourse." However, "shippingforecast" was not even talking about your post. I interpreted "shippingforecast"'s post to have to be sarcasm about your post because your post was clearly not sarcastic. The whole thing is a simple, meaningless misunderstanding.

I know, that is why I said "we understand"... the TSC is so fast that it makes us all dizzy, even me and sometimes I say things I shouldn't...

It's a side-effect of getting issued with a Visa so quickly

  5. //Sarcasm hat off// See, the thing is, I accused no one, including you. Additionally, you're a new member. From today. I specifically mentioned "lately", which is more than one day. So you're safe.

LOL read your post up thread where you specifically referred to my post. I know this process is super quick and it can cause people to become dizzy and forget what they have typed recently. We understand.

  6. If CR-1/IR-1 visa holder enters the U.S. for the first time on immigrant visa, she/he will be escorted automatically to the secondary inspection where he/she will be processed.

Upon the entry, you must give the sealed envelope along with passport and custom form to the immigration officer at the secondary inspection, then the immigration officer will open it and review it. He/she might ask you some questions (maybe similar to questions at the US embassy interview). It will take time (from few minutes to hours -- maybe sitting hours). The immigration officer will further investigate the foreign national to verify information and address any concerns. This information will be checked against information contained in their database.

Thanks... wow, they don't stop do they? You'd think after the Visa was issued you would've been inspected thoroughly already. lol

  7. Oh LOL. I thought you were talking about the post right above yours. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure why it's been so hostile lately, but it's sad. I've read 100s of posts in dozens of threads & can barely bring myself to post anything. I will sometimes have a nice post written & just hit the X in the top right corner of the tab before even hitting send. It's mainly bickering & I feel sorry for the mods who are feverishly trying to keep it as much under control as they can.

What was hostile about my post? I've wished the person well and even given him an option to punish me. Remember, this is the sarcasm thread. Lighten up and have a cup of tea, chamomile or green?

  8. ~Moved from IR1/CR1 Process to Working & Traveling During US Immigration Forum~

~Inquiry applicable to numerous visa processes~

Was that necessary before someone could give me an answer? Anyway, thanks I'll go look at that section.

You can have a leaf through some of the POE reviews to gets general idea of what happens. It seems to be a little hit and miss in terms of level of scrutiny - maybe down to whatever IO you have the luck of meeting with.

    Thanks :)
