No update for us yet. We just did our second set of biometrics (one for AOS and one for EAD/AP).

I believe the beneficiary does AR-11 and the petitioner does the I-865.

Yes, that is a very smart idea. The fees for those forms are waived when filed with a pending I-485 and she will receive an EAD/AP combo card that will allow her to work, and travel abroad and re-enter the US while waiting for her green card to be approved.
