  1. Here in WNY we have quite a few Tim Horton's....thank goodness!!! But I was just reminded yesterday of the things we do not have...Smarties, Aero Bars, Coffee Crisp or Humpty Dumpty chips. Thankfully my parents can bring some to me whenever I get low...lol. Any other Canadians notice though that the fast food tastes different here?

  2. The (L) of my life and I are trying to decide our best course of action. Currently I am waiting for my divorce to be complete (five years separated) before we can start the paperwork for a K1. After acknowledging the time frame and red tape involved ... we have discussed the option of marrying in the fall in Vegas and applying for a K3 then. He cannot come to Canada so that is not an option ... Has anyone had a similar situation? Are there any problems obtaining a marriage license in Vegas being from another country?

I am Canadian and my husband is a USC. We got married in Vegas in Nov. 2004 and have both been married before. We did not encounter any problems getting a marriage license in Vegas. You can go online and look-up the requirements for obtaining a marriage license in Vegas. I've included the link for you. Good luck to you!!!

  3. Hi All,

I'm new to this site and so just getting used to how things work here. I am a Canadian from Ontario who is now in Rochester, New York getting ready to file for my AOS. The package is in my attorney's hands as we speak and she is just about ready to forward it on. Just wondering if there is anyone else going thru the Buffalo, NY office and what their experiences are? Thank you!!!!

  4. If questioned just explain it like you explained to us. You should be fine.

    Hi Lisa,

I was just reading your timeline and realized that we have some similarities. My hubbie and I were married on 11/20/2004...just 4 days after you! I am from Canada, I am fluent in French and all of my family is from Quebec. We were a little slow in getting my AOS underway, so my attorney presently has our package and is just about ready to send it to INS. I am new to this site and have read lots of useful information regarding this whole process. Good luck on your AOS interview!!!!
