OK, if he's Pakistani then his chances are slim at best anyway. Your sister may stand more of a chance if she applies on her own - her husband staying in Pakistan would be a good tie for her to show.

He is applying from dubai...living in dubai for ever. Just Pakistani passport. His job n travel history is really good. Yes he will mention everyone but do you still think chances of him vs my sis are low??

That’s odd anyway. Why is he travelling on his own, without his wife, and not seeing you?

Depending on their nationality, your sister may be much more likely to be granted a visitor visa than her husband. So they may want her to try for her to come and visit you alone.

Nationality Pakistani: he is coming to meet his cousins in Michigan and new york i am in Texas so it might be hard for him to travel all...he is coming for a short time and his cousins are living in usa for generations

  3. Thankyou no we dont intend to lie but thing is he is not my direct relative. May not even come see me in the trip as he plans to travel alone. In this situation what is best

  4. My brother in law is applying for B1/b2 visa. The situation is he applied with my sister but were denied the 1st time. (I am the us citizen)He wants ro apply alone now to visit usa in general. So should he mention me as his relative or no need. The last time they were denied because officer asked about my husband how did he come here n got green card. He came on student visa n ended up here as he fell in love with someone through that he got green card too. However now my family isnt sure if they should mention us in the application or not and if this question comes up again how should this be answered.plz help

I contributed to your previous post when you said she had a visa and that your parents are immigrating. Have they moved?

Hi no that is another sister who isn't married...yes they got the green card and already travelled once on it.

The sister I am referring to is married and has a kid. She just wants to visit as we both have kids now and feel that we should meet often so kids know us our families

  7. Hi,

Plz, help me as to why my sister who applied for visit visa to USA asked at the interview about how and when did my husband and I came.to usa. My husband came as a student married here n stayed whereas I came on a visit after marriage as i already had a visit visa and then we applied for AOS here in USA. My sister answered the same.

My sister was denied visit after these questions. Was there something wrong with this??? Plz advise

Also are there any lawyers who can help with visit visa from uae so she is not denied again

    Plz help

A  valid visa doesn’t guarantee entry. It’s not the number of people who matter (3 is hardly “so many”), it is whether CBP believe that they will return home and not overstay their tourist visas. Seeing as you have given no details about u sister this question is unanswerable (the answer is probably  different for example if she is married with 3 kids, a husband and a powerhouse job at home vs if she is 22, single, has no job and is not at school …)

Ohh i see now. She is single, lives with parents but is working at a school in UAE and wants to come see family and go back. She has traveled to Australia etc. before covid n came back well in time of the expiry ..this is her background

    1. They can certainly try, CBP may  or may  not let them in. If you are worried about an interview letter arriving while they are away, have someone check the mail and book a flexible air ticket so they can go home earlier to attend the interview if necessary

    2. So vague as to be unanswerable…absolutely no information about your sister

For sister But she has a valid visa. Can it be an objection in anyway i mean so many people visit usa

  10. 1)my parents DQ was done march 2022 from Abu dhabi embassy. What is the wait time till the interview letter?  Can Parents come visit me in summer from june to August while waiting for the IL. What happens if they get a IL in dubai during this stay.

    2) my sister has b1/b2 as well. Is it good if she travels with parents to come see me? Or this can be a problem in anyway?

    Plz help

    Thanks

Do you know if travel on B2 tourist visa is ok when Documentarily Qualified with NVC? Looks like interview wait times are really long and i am in the same boat, thinking of having parents travel on B2 tourist visa in the meanwhile

I think travel is possible on b1/b2 depending on which country they are traveling from.  For how long have you been waiting after the DQ???

Ah okay, that makes more sense :)  I'm also DQ in Jan 22, so hopefully we both get a letter soon.

Nationality shouldn't matter, but it kinda sounds like it might in some cases. All of this is very opaque, so it's hard to say. There's a telegram group for family based visas at abu dhabi embassy, think I posted it here a couple posts ago if you want to join!

Hi, plz can you send me a link of this telegram group

Anyone can suggest for parents IR5 what is the wait time for IL. They are pakistani but UAE residents since 40 yrs or more

  13. Hi

Plz advise as my parents immigration is under process but we are tired of waiting. my kids want to meet them and I am missing them. we cannot travel as my kids have school can my parents travel on B1-B2. Will it affect their immigration in any way??? My sister is also on b1 b2 can she travel with them to visit me as well

plz help and clarify both things

  14. Hi,

My Parents application was sent in 2020 to USCIS. They sent it to Abu Dhabi NVC in NOV 2020. I got a email in 2021 saying NVC wants more documents which i had sent and after that it is quiet since 2021,
How long is Abu Dhabi NVC taking to DQ and do i need to inform USCIS that the case in still active OR they know it? Can i do anything to expedite this? Plz help

    Thanks

Sounds like they were focussing on you immigrating on a non tourist visa.

Nobody here knows why they were refused, usually the people who have the best idea are the ones who were there.

There is not time they have to wait before applying again, not as if they will get another interview soon anyway. Having been refused once would they be approved, unlikely bit it has happened.

Makes me so sad as I could not travel with kids and soo was looking fwd to seeing some family where the intention was very good too :(

It seems they spent a lot of time asking about the sister (OP I assume?) in the US.

Since she is your sister, are these her parents too? It seems to me the reason for rejection is one family member in the US, parents currently in progress to immigrate to the US. This combine with possibly weak ties to UAE resulted in a denial.

What are their ties to UAE? What are their ages? Have they been married a long time? Unless something about their situation changes, there's no point to reapply any time soon. It makes sense to apply in 1-2 years if something about their situation has changed and they can show stronger ties.

Yes, major questions were about me and my husband. They have their families brothers and father in UAE. Brother-in-law works for a company as a manager. He is an engineer. Sister works for British council. both are 29 and 25 i think. Married for 2 yrs

  17. Hi,

My sister is married and wanted to come see me with her husband. As they had gone to several other places for honeymoon they had USA in pipeline as well. Both of them are educated and have work in UAE. THey applied for the B1/B2 visa like a year back but due to COVID their interview date was received after a year. My entire family travels alot to Australia, Singapore and other countries and have never been rejected but she and her husband got rejected straight away.

We still cannot understand the reason as their pure intention was to visit USA. The officer asked them what are they going for, they mentioned travel and visit to me. He asked what do I do in USA and they said she is a house wife. He asked how did she go to USA, they said she got married and went. Then he asked what visa did he come on n my sister replied he went as a student.

Apart from this conversation the other thing that comes to my mind is that my parents green card papers are in process. HOwever, they have not been DQed yet.

Plz, help what is the reason for rejection and can she reapply or should she reapply visit to USA? She and her husband really got disappointed and do not want to get rejected again.

    PLz help

    Thanks
