  1. Sigh... My husband (beneficiary) successfully submitted an expedite request on Jan 4 based on the financial hardship, as he's received a job offer while he hasn't been invited for the biometrics. The rep on the phone told him that they may send him an email to ask for additional details - we expected that we would be asked to submit an offer letter etc. Today (Jan 7), we received an email notice stating his request has been denied as he hasn't provided the evidence of the financial hardship.... well, we were not even asked to provide ones? Has anyone experienced something like this? This is so frustrating...

I'm still waiting for biometrics. And waiting if my service request works, if not I'll try again...

We're in the same boat (my husband is the beneficiary, I'm the sponsor). We called and called USCIS to get the service request or biometrics expedited and the only person we were able to speak with said it's not even worth trying because it's been already 5 months in and the general timeframe is 5.5 to 7.5 months. We mentioned the potential loss of job offer but he didn't take it at all. I wonder how other people really cracked through and get it expedited...

Yeah, I'm checking the Processing Time page every day for NE center where my case has been transferred, and the Receipt date for a case inquiry is moving slowly. (sometimes backwards though) Now it says they're working on March 5, 2017 documents...

This morning, USCIS hid all the options other than VSC, CSC and All Field Options to look up the processing time on I-751. Grrrrr.

They have been speeding up in the last 5 days. I am going to estimate that by Sept 1st 75% of March 17 filers will be adjucated. Hang tight there is a GC with your name on it.

I got approved a few days ago. mid March 2017 CSC but transferred to Nebraska in May this year. USCIS did not update online but DHS did BUT I did not get an email or text (I signed up for both). It shows

We are producing your card and will mail it to you

Congrats! There's a hope for CSC filers transferred to NE. I filed mid March 2017 and was transferred to NE in May thsi year too. Neither DHS and USCIS site has any updates, but I'll stay positive!!

  6. I also received 18 months extension letter from NE. So based on this letter, my new expiration date is Dec 2018 (my GC expired on Jun 2017). While, I got my passport stamped, which says the expiration date is June 2019. In this case, am i good until June 2019, or should I go ged the stamp again around Dec 2018...?

Hopefully my case will be approved by then though. Fingers crossed.

Just an update from my end. Late March 2017 CSC filer here. My case never moved to any local office nor did I ever hear from USCIS on anything to do with my case until this morning the DHS website shows my case approved and card being mailed to me. I have a USCIS letter coming in from USPS as well. I know from lurking around on this thread to look for the statue of liberty through the scanned images for an approval and I see that so thank you guys! :jest:

I had not filed for my N 400. Decided to wait it out. I hope everyone gets their approvals soon. I know this wait is brutal but there's light at the end of this tunnel!

Congrats!! Now I started seeing CSC filers whose case hasn't been transferred are being approved, I wonder what's going on with the local officers that received the transferred cases.

  8. Hey guys, a CSC filer still waiting for the approval here.

I went to the local USCIS office in Indianapolis to get the passport stamped. I waited for 20mins or so after my appointment time, then a lady called my name. She told me that USCIS is processing the applications from November 2016 now so I gotta wait for a bit more to get mine approved. Due to my passport expiration date, she wasn't able to give me a full one year extension but until next June, which is when my passport expires. Hopefully my approval will come through by then!

I also asked her about the incident with DMV a year ago. My local DMV refused to renew my license last year (just requested to change the address though) because the extension letter does not state the exact expiration date of the extension. She said that, though USCIS can't tell them what to do, DMV should have processed my request as this system (with extension letters) has been in place for more than 2 decades. I'll go to DMV tomorrow and try to replace my license (My license is stolen so it's critical for me to get it sort out now).
