I-485 got approved today! So excited we made it to this point. Almost seems like there was no need to file the EAD and AP but ill take it! To everyone else hang in there your day will come hopefully real soon!

If combo is approved for EAD and AP is there a realistic timeframe for how long it should take for GC

@K1visaHopefuljust got wifes EAD and AP combo approval today. Just to avoid confusion with the EAD do i need to go to SSA office and get a new SSC for my wife with my last name on it? Or will SSA send me a new one with my last name?

Also got i-131 case closed. Honestly the EAD is more important in my case and its been stuck for a month on "case taking longer than expected". Whole process is frustrating

Same here its been saying taking longer than usual for EAD when supposedly it should have been approved 2 weeks ago for me. AP just says case received

Was i supposed to get notification from the SSA that a new one was being processed since i requested it on I765??

@K1visaHopeful quick question does SSC with new last name arrive with I765 card or should i expect them to come separately and if so how far apart from each other would you estimate it takes

We did biometrics yesterday. Anybody know usually what happens next other than a waiting game?

Hello all hope all is doing well i was wondering if i can get some advice regarding my situation. My fiancee arrived last month on k1 visa and we got married yesterday. It seems from what i have been looking online i made a mistake by not getting SSN prior to marriage? I am going to the SSN office on monday to gather more information but since she will be taking my last name what are the next steps then? Would it be easier if she just keeps her last name? Should i apply for her social now? Or do i check the box for applying for a SSN when i fill out the I-485? Keep in mind i am trying to do the fastest way possible in order for her to get her drivers license open a bank account and work as fast as possible. also does employment authorization and travel authorization all go together with i485 or are the sent or filed separately?
