Thanks so much for the replies....Guess I'll be waiting it out.

Ok...so what is the answer to the question....What is the total fees and does it appear that a RFE will be coming..
-
I think we may have over paid our fees. When we mailed our packet off on Monday we included one check for $765.00. Now I'm re-doing the math and it appears we should have only paid $745.00... Which is correct? Will this result in a RFE for a new check? Or have we paid the correct fee?

My new step son was approved for a K-2 visa but his father and I did not wed prior to his 18th birthday(his 18th birthday was in March). Even though he was approved for a K-2 visa am I correct in thinking that we must now file a I-130 for him to come to the US? Can I file for him or must his father file for him? If his father has to file for him how long must he wait until he can file?
Thanks for your input.

Add us to the list...Mailed packet off today...June 11

Yes, I am very sure...This is not a case of fraud.
-
Another question...should I contact USCIS or the consulate and advise them the visa was not used?
-
I figured as much... oh well thanks for the reply.
-
Thanks...
He has never used the visa..cold feet maybe. When the visa was approved his medical was not in so the consulate had him return with the medical report. He then returned again to pick up his passport.

His K1 visa was approved in November 2006 and was availble for pick up 2 weeks later. When is the visa no longer valid? Is it the approval date or the issue date? Can it be extended?

Ive had surgery before but simple surgery. Nothing major like this. I know the faster i get off the pain meds the better i will feel and i plan to do so, i have a high tolerance for pain so it wont be too bad. i appreciate all of your support and words
Relax...and dont hurry to get off the medication. Your body will heal slower if you are constantly fighting the pain.. I too had one at 36 and was devestaed. The endo caused me to be unable to concieve and carry. Follow the doctors orders and with in a week of returning home you will notice improvement. They JOY of no more painful periods and such perk me up when I get down about it.
With that said I still have a wonderful son who is my pride and joy.(My ex and I adopted him when he was 5months old). Enjoy your children that you do have and continue to be thankful for your strong relationship.
My only regret is that doctor didnt tighten up the tummy since everything was open and availble. Oh well....
Take care and take care of yourself.

In my opinion what you are trying to give is a complete picture of your relationship. If your fiance' paid for your travel arrangements and you can show where these funds paid for your air fare etc., then why not submit them. However I think the time to submit them is when you are at your interview and not during the original petition. That is where details matter and it will give you time to get the proper/original bank statement.

Could'nt have said it better!
First of all I want to thank all of you for your different views and experiences. As some have pointed out there are scammers all over. I have been scammed by American men simply looking for a place to lay their head to keep from going back to their momma's basement. I have prayed on my choice and I am grateful that I have friends to stick by me when I am up and have helped piece together my ego when I was left with a sick baby, no job, and no vision to see beyond 1997. I have had 3 american men leave all the raising of the children to me, and 2 be legally forced to take provide monitarily for their children which they still are slack on. I said all this to say, a man's nationality has little do with him honoring you and the promise made before God. You have good American marriages and bad marriages. Plain and simple. While a green card may be motivation for some, it is not for all.I prayed about my decision before telling Solo I would be his wife. We had an open conversation about how his quality of life will improve as will mine by what he will provide for my household in being present. I have been honest with him about many things, the main one being I will never get a good housekeeping award. I sent him pictures of my home at its WORST after water damage to prepare him. I am honest about finances with him and what my expectations are for what we will send back to Naija on a monthly basis. We have talked about what we consider to be our "deal breakers" in the relationship. Now if he comes here and decides to leave me, I wish him well as I did the 3 American men that have left me. I know my success and happiness only make them realized what they really loss.

In my opinion Vaalisa has given you supportive advice, especially after your comments
in the other thread where you stated you were ready to let go. I don't feel she has been judgemental, even saying she does not know your whole situation.
She and others were just concerned and wanting the best for you. I found your response to
her a bit harsh and very defensive.
If you post everything that is wrong with your relationship on a public forum, please don't be surprised to get some honest perspectives to see things from a different angle.
We are still wishing you the very best and are fully aware that only you can make the decision to marry this man......peace....
Well said Omoba....
North American Airlines Discontinues Service

North American Airlines to Discontinue International Scheduled Service to Lagos, Accra and Georgetown
Tuesday February 19, 7:00 am ET
Will Redeploy Aircraft into Charter Market
JAMAICA, N.Y., Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- North American Airlines today announced that it will discontinue scheduled service between the United States and the cities of Lagos, Nigeria; Accra, Ghana; and Georgetown, Guyana. All flights in these markets will be completed by May 20, 2008.
"North American has a long history of serving the New York-Guyana market, and we were the first U.S. airline in decades to fly non-stop service from the United States to sub-Saharan Africa," said Rob Binns, Chief Commercial and Planning Officer. "We have been pleased that all of these markets have performed on a revenue basis as we anticipated. What now makes these markets untenable is the rising cost of fuel. We have seen our jet fuel costs increase 60 percent since we entered the Africa markets in 2005.
"This was a difficult decision, especially in light of the continuing support we have received from the governments and the traveling public in our Africa markets," Binns said. "We also have had excellent customer response to our nonstop service between Georgetown and John F. Kennedy International Airport since its inception in 1999, and we regret that economic conditions now force us to bring these flights to an end."
All customers currently booked on discontinued North American flights will receive a refund for the unused portion of their reservation or may opt to travel on an earlier date. For questions and refunds, contact North American at 1-800-359-6222. In Accra, customers may call 21-911086; in Lagos they may call 271-6380 and in Georgetown, the local phone number is 227-5805. Additional information can also be found on www.flynaa.com .
"North American's modern Boeing 757/767 fleet is in high demand and we will redeploy these aircraft profitably in the charter market," Binns said.
North American Airlines, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Global Aero Logistics Inc., is a U.S.-certificated air carrier offering air transportation services throughout the world for the U.S. military and commercial customers. Founded in 1989, North American operates a fleet of 10 passenger aircraft.
