  1. Congrats lilygirl1129! so happy for you!!!

upgrade from us: We are now in US. We travelled yesterday and our POE was Fort Lauderdale. Everything went so smoothly. In the airport, we went through residents and citizens line :) , the officer was son kind. I gave him passports and yellow envelopes. Fingerprints and picture were taken, Then we had to go to another room were the officer gave another officer the passport and envelopes. He opened the envelopes, filled some information in the computer while we were sitting. He called me and asked which which would be my direction in US and sat again. Five minutes later he called me again and told me the green cards will be received in 6 months and "you're all set".. Oh my God I wanted to cry!! I said Thank you, thank you very much! And now we are here, finally family is reunited and living our sweet dream after all this process.

For all of you waiting, never lose faith and hope for the best!

    Jeremiah 29:11New Life Version (NLV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for well-being and not for trouble, to give you a future and a hope.

  2. My wife finally has her passport/visa in her hands. We had it sent to the Cali DHL office where she had to wait in a long line before they finally gave it to her. She'll be traveling to the US on Monday. Whew!

Lilygirl, keep the pressure on the embassy, by phone. It seems to be the only way to get them to move. I hope they will resolve your issue very soon and your spouse can join the rest of us, living here in the US.

    Congrats!

  3. So just for my info, what time lapse am I looking at from interview to passport delivery? Looks like you guys are having a heck of a time with dhl.

andres&lina, in this moment is very difficult to establish an average of time. For us, the interview was on June 11th, and my passport was delivered on June 30th and my daughter's yesterday July 6th. But it was because of the delay in printing the visas and now the delay in delivery. The average time before all of these delays was 10 days to 2 weeks.

  4. Also waiting :( hope dhl gets on it soon guys apparently when you jump one hurdle there throw ten more at you we are still in ap status last case up date 7/2 don't even know why any more since we sent all info they requested and embassy has still not responded to our emails :losing faith if this we'll ever get completed ::

lilygirl1129, you have to be positive. It is the last step! focus on the positive and soon you will be done! our prayers continue for you!

DHL called back and they found the tracking information for my wife's visa. It will be ready for pickup on Thursday in Cali.

So thank you lopezgallo for outlining the steps you used to get your daughter's visa.

It's clear that DHL is accepting passports from the embassy and readying them for shipment, but they are super slow to send that "mythical" email informing applicants/petitioners of the tracking numbers for these shipments. Calling DHL seems to be the fastest way to get a response.

Great Russ&Caro, I'm so happy for you!!

  5. Lopezgallo, thanks for the info. What is the cedula number? Did you get that from https://ais.usvisa-info.com/es-co/iv? If so, what does the number look like? Which links do you click to find the #? Thanks for any guidance you can provide?

Russ&Caro, as Andres&Lina said, the cedula number is the national id number. And also send the ais.usvisa number and complete name. Let me know if you need something else. Good luck!

The ais.usvisa is the number in the lower part when you log in, "Número de identificación de cuenta IVR" and is an 8 digit number.

  6. After calling DHL, I wasn't happy with the answer we received, I decided to contact DHL Colombia facebook page https://www.facebook.com/DHLColombia (inbox), and ask if they do have tracking number yet, I sent my daughter's name, and the ais.usvisa number (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/es-co/iv).

After a while I received a note asking me to send the phone number so a costumer representative can call me.

After half an hour, I received the call from DHL, I told her what was happening and she ask me my daughter's name and cedula number and she told me she will call me later.

Five minutes later, she called me with tracking number and told me the passport was ready to be picked up. So please, each one of you with issued visa, call DHL, or write.

The e-mail that I use to write to the embassy is IVBogota@state.gov

PS. We went immediately to pick up my daughter's passport, and we will be travelling on July 15th.

  7. Today I sent an e-mail to the embassy asking about the passport. Just received the response. They told that the passport has been given to DHL, and that we must communicate with DHL for inquiries.

Then we called DHL, and asked about that. They told us that they have two days after receiving the passport to send the tracking e-mail. So hopefully on wednesday we'll have the tracking e-mail.

  8. How long did it take for your passport to go from issued to getting the email? And when you get the email does that mean you can pick it up right away? Maybe there are still some after effects of the "computer glitch"

June 24: the status on CEAC changed from ready to AP, and later to issued.

June 27: received the tracking e-mail and

June 30: passport picked up on hdl office in Bogota

  9. Awesome! Thanks for reporting this. Are you picking it up in Bogota or having it sent to a different city?

Now I'm really getting excited. My wife might be here for July 4 holiday.

I'll be picking it in Bogota. Yes I know, all of us are excited wondering when we will be travelling, but we have decided to do not buy tickets until we have passports in hand.
