Update for June 22: Hello, everyone. Thank you for you patience today. You can read the full text of today's update on our website, linked below.

As you are aware, we are still in the process of resolving technical problems with our visa systems. Though some progress has been made, biometric data processing has not been fully restored.

As of noon today, 22 posts have been reconnected, representing about half of the global nonimmigrant visa volume. All our servers appear to bestable. There is a large backlog of cases to clear, but we have already made good progress. We will continue to bring additional posts online until connectivity with all posts is restored.

Our team continues to work on this 24/7 to restore the systems to full functionality. We are striving to have the system fully connected sometime this week.

We deeply regret the inconvenience to you, and we recognize the hardship to those of you who are waiting for visas, your family members, and your employers in the United States.

  2. Congratulations, lopezgallo. I totally understand your relief at completing the interview and receiving conditional approval. I hope the approval of the waiver goes through without a problem for you. A number of us now are waiting for conditions to lift prior to visa approval. Hopefully we all receive good news within a week.

Russ&Caro, please check the medical issue for kimo & angela... it seems something wrong is going with medical examinations.

  3. We had our interview today. My daughter is approved and she will get her passport in two weeks. Mine is under review but the consul said it will take maximum 2 days to confirm the approval of a waiver in 2011. I didn't have the original of this approval, just a copy.

We had the interview at 7:30, but we were at the embassy at 6:45. First we had to submit the documents: medical report, passport, two pictures and the confirmation of the D-260 submission. After one hour and 15 minutes, the consul called us. She was so kind. She asked who was petitioning us and where was my husband ( My husband was there with us). Where did we met and When did we get married. How many times have we gone to United States and which time was the longer stay. If i have a prior marriage and if my husband has. And If we have children (Our little daughter also was there with us).

Then she asked if I have the approval of the waiver (overstay), and I gave her the copy. So then she told me that in order to approve the visa, she has to confirm the approval of this waiver but she couldn't do it at that moment because there was a technical issue. So maximum in two day she will let me know by e-mail. Then she talked with my daughter, and told her she was approved and in two weeks she will receive her passport.

    God is good!!

  4. lilygirl1129 sorry about that. Hope you can fix that quickly!

Sad day .....everything went ok but before we can get approved I need to send a sponsors information he got there at 830 was out by 12 30 I have to upload co sponsor information to site they kept all his documents so that he dosnet have to return which I never heard of but hopeful will be over with this soon I wish I would have know we needed a sponsor for our family size I thought we where good since NVC didn't ask for one orginally (feeling distraught
    :,(.???????..)

  5. You are welcome! It has been a long way and now we are almost done, after this painful process. Enjoy!

We received approval today, conditional on the consulate receiving the medical reports. My wife confirmed with the doctor that they would be sent immediately and the consulate indicated that there would likely be no delay beyond the normal 14 day waiting period for the visa to be sent in the mail. We're totally spent. I wouldn't wish this experience on enemies, and I have huge empathy for all of those still waiting.

I'll be posting a review of her experience and the questions asked. One interesting note, the interviewer was "gringo" and actually switched to English at one point during the interview.

    Best of luck to all!

p.s. Thank you lopezgallo and lilygirl for the private message congratulations. I'm looking fwd to all of us getting approvals soon.

  6. Congrats!!

    Approved!!!!!!

    Questions asked to my husband:

    Your full name:

Who is asking for you in the USA?

    How did you meet?

What does your wife do (career)?

How long ago did you meet?

    When did you get married?

How many times has your wife came to Colombia?

When was the first time she came to Colombia to visit?

Have you been to the USA?

Have you ever been investigated, arrested or had any legal problems?

    :dancing:

He got there at 7:30 and was out by 10:30. On the first window all his papers were checked and basic information asked (his name, my name, e-mail address, first time married?), and then after that I had to wait forever like 2 hrs and 45 min. After waiting I was called to the actual interview which lasted about 5 min and was told that I was approved, that my visa would be available in 2 weeks, and that I had to pay a fee online which is $165.

  7. Called NVC and was told my wife's interview is on June 3, which coincidentally is 365 days exactly from our NOA1 date - the day USCIS received our I-130. :dancing:

I know my wife would be interested in meeting anyone else who has an interview the week of June 1 to June 5, as she goes to the medical appts and waits for the final interview. She will be flying in from Cali.

    Russ

    Congrats!

  8. Hi All,

I called today and received the same answer - no interview yet. I e-mailed the embassy and received the answer that they haven't received the cases, so I wrote again telling them that NVC told me the embassy haven't programmed the interviews. No answer yet. I think that if we write all to the embassy requesting the scheduling, maybe we can achieve something. It has been a long wait...
