I met Chris online on March 25th, 2005 in a very unexpected way... I was only looking for someone to practice my english with but, without noticing, we started to get even more involved everyday untill we were not able to stay without talking or chatting everyday for about 4 hours or so... I didn't believe in what was happening to me, but I had to admit I was completely in love with that pretty, open-minded and sensitive man!
We decided we couldn't live without each other since the 3rd week after we first met over internet and we already started to plan to be together forever. So, he decided to come to Brazil to meet me and my family. He arrived here in July 9th and spent 17 days with me... The most happy and magical days of my life! I felt like dying when he left! :(
So, I got my divorce papers in October and we decided to start with the K-1 visa process right away!
Unfortunately we didn't have the right information and Chris sent the papers for the wrong place (Des Moines Sub-Office) and it took more than two months for them to tell us that we had to translate my divorce papers and to send the petition to the right place... So, we ended up sending the petition only in January 27th, 2006.
That was very hard to wait and to be apart, but I can tell anyone that it really worths it!
"We are all that together, babe.... Forever! I looooove you more than anything!"
Seriously but it could be worse. If she were already here and you had to change her status, it would have been a whole lot more.. I found out today I have to pay for her visa and now I am stressed out about it. Hopefully this won't cost more than what I have paid so far.
hehe... Yeah, you're right. I actually wrote this at a certain point when I was thinking I had to pay more than what I did. I clarified that later and it was not too bad.
