  1. We are a little concerned. We filed for our AOS/EAD/AP on July 1st. I had my biometrics appointment on July 30th. But we have not heard anything from them, either via email or regular mail.

Checking the status online, it says:

Regarding AOS: On July 2, 2015, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Regarding EAD and AP: On July 1, 2015, we received your Form X-XXX, Application for XXXXXXXXXXXXX , Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXX, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case.

No other updates since that time. Should we worry about this?

I honestly have a couple of job offers waiting for me, and our economic situation is difficult (she had to change jobs and her paycheck is coming really late), so we could really use our EAD right now.

    Any opinions on this?

  2. Here's the thread us fellow July filers are using to keep each other updated. :)http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/555340-july-2015-aos-filers/

Wonderful! It is nice to keep each other updated :)

There's an app on the app store called case tracker, much easier than checking the uscis site, for iphones and androids

Thank you for the tip

We have still May filers waiting for EAD in our thread, me included. Day 91 for us today.

I see. Thanks for sharing your experience, and hoping the best for you!

  3. Enter your MSC number, not the WAC number. You can find it on your NOA1 for EAD, AP and I-485.

Find a July filer thread (if there is one) to compare the progress with other July filers.

Settle in for a 3 months wait for EAD/AP and much longer for the GC.

The updates are few and some get no updates.

You can create an account to see a bit more.

    THANK YOU!!!

I just checked the MSC number and it says 'Case Was Received'. Hopefully it changes to 'Approved' soon. Some people who filed the same date have been already approved :/

  4. Hello, Community!

I successfully submitted the AOS Packet on July 1st. I had my Biometrics appointment on July 30th.

I know right now I must wait until I hear from them (I could REALLY use Receiving my I-765 Application for employment authorization Approval ASAP). I was just wondering if there's a way to check on the case status online. I read somewhere to check on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do, but I did. I used my WAC case number and it only shows the I-129F approval back on January. Is there a way to check for updated information on my case?

    Thanks in advance :)

  5. Hullo, Dear VJers!

With the help of all of you, I successfully submitted the AOS Packet last week. According to USPS, the packet was signed (Received) on July 2nd, at 11:00 am.

Here is my question: Should I be worried if the Money for the payment has not been taken out of our account? (We sent a check, but as far as I understand, they do an electronic transfer).

What is the normal time frame to hear from them?

Can you share your experiences and shed some light as far as what I need to do at this point?

    P.D.

Check submitted in the amount of $1070.00

Also, packet sent contained these forms, plus the additional copies and documents required:

    G-325a Biographic information
    I-864 Affidavit of support
    I-485 Petition for Alien Relative
    G-1145 E-Notification
I-765 Application for employment authorization Done
    I-131 Application for travel

  6. I entered the USA under a K-1 Visa on May 1st. We got married on June 6th. We are just completing all the paperwork we need to file for AOS.

I have a very specific question. Do I have to file for I-765? My I-94 is about to expire.

If I must file it, do I have to pay the fee for it?

Is it worth filing? Or my AOS should suffice?

    Your help is greatly aprecciated!

  7. Help!

I entered the USA on a K-1 Visa on May 1st. We got married on June 6th (Yay!).

Now, we are starting gathering all the paperwork we need for the AOS.

We just realized I did not bring a copy of the birth certificate with me. Can a Faxed/Scanned copy be used or do we need to have my parents send us one through UPS or FedEx?

About the translation, can I translate the birth certificate or it has to be an 'official' translation?
