Applied i-751 - Removal of condition on Greencard for wife and son on 2 May 2017
Received NOA1 (I-797) on 18 May 2017
Receipt Date: 8 May 2017
The I-797 Notice lists only my wife's name. My son'sname, who is also on the application (I-751), is not listed. He is going to be a summer student in UK. He leaves for UK on 24 June. His current greencard (conditional) expires on 3 August 2017). He is scheduled to return on 5 August 2017.
Does he need to return on or before 3 August 2017?
Thanks
I am not in the same situation with a child, but I would guess that he would have a problem coming back into the U.S. without the Extension Letter (NOA1) with him. Hopefully the extension letter (NOA1) will come for him before June 24th, which I would think it will since your wife's letter came in today.

Thank you. I see a pending transaction for $680 from VSC field office, 9 days from the date they received the petition.
I751 filed on 05/08/2017
USCIS Received (USPS) on 05/09/2017
Check cashed on 05/18/2017
Good! You should get your extension (NOA1) letter any day. Then hopefully the biometrics will soon follow. We do not have our biometrics yet.

Should we also include two passport-style photos for petitioner and dependent in the package?
Not unless you are living out of the country due to military orders and cant go to a biometrics appt, for ROC filing.

Hi all,
I filed the I-751 on May 8th 2017 and it was delivered to the Vermont Center on 9th May 2017.
I am yet to get the I-751 receipt and the check has NOT been cashed yet. Starting to get worried.
The 2 year conditional GC expires July 24th 2017. I filed the GC on May 8th 2017. We checked the application multiple times, it was signed properly by both my wife and I and the check was for $680.
The package was delivered to the Vermont center and signed by L Zuchowski on May 9th 2017.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do but wait. Thanks.I believe that VSC is a bit slower than CSC. It took 9 days for them to cash my check. I have noticed it takes around a couple of weeks to cash the check for some. I wouldn't worry yet if I were you.

Thanks! So the NOA/Extension Letter comes first than the Biometrics Appointment, right?
That's right

Update CSC
Package sent 5/4
received 5/6
check cashed 5/16
You should get your NOA1 in the next day or two.

Have the NOA1 in hand!! Dated 05/02/17.
-
You have to wait for the biometrics letter, that letter will have two numbers and the second number is the one you use to enter into the USCIS account to track your status.

Did you use acco fastener in compiling this? Or just binder clips?
I used 2.5" Acco Loose leaf binder rings

Check cashed today 5/11/17, now to wait for NOA1 in the mail.

@Cocoza same here, i just came back from the USPS. did you sent your package with signature required? I did not require signature on my package because I was thinking its a P.O. Box address and no one will gonna sign there.
We sent ours with a return signature card. They still stamp the card with the date received and "CSC" even though its a P.O. Box. I wanted to make sure that they got it. Ours was stamped May 2nd. Check is not cashed yet and no response yet. From what I can tell CSC is taking around two weeks to cash check and send NOA1.

Hi everyone!
My conditional expires on August 17. I just want to ask if its ok to send the mail on may 26?
Thanks in advance😊
https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/dateCalculator.html You should be able to use this calculator to make sure you are filing in the 90 days that USCIS requires. Good Luck!!!

Yes, there is still time. You have the 90 days prior to your green card expiration date to file I-751 ROC.
My husbands will expire on 7/22/17. But we had to file a week after the beginning of our window.
