6 months and two weeks for us and no news yet, either.
I think funding for USCIS has been reduced. Never have I seen applications taking this amount of time to approve. And it's not like they're reporting anything to justify why they've been holding up the process. I interpret to mean that it has become normal processing times.

Guys, My case was approved at the USCIS on March 7th and sent to the NVC on the 8th. But I never received any e-mail from the USCIS. Did that happen to anyone here?
Their system is sometimes funny. I got an email on the 02/27 that my case was sent to the NVC. Then on the morning of the 02/28 I got an email that on Feb 28, they approved my i130 which made no sense to me. How could they send it to NVC and then approved it the next day. I knew it was because the expedite caused some input issues. However, when I got my approval letter in the mail it was dated 02/24 which means my case was approved about 4 days before I was notified. Congrats though on your approval!

FOR EXPEDITED CASES!!!
Does anyone know if the NVC honours an expedited request that was made on a case coming them USCIS? Or will I have to make yet another expedite request at the NVC

May someone with the requisite knowledge assist me. I didn't have any salary/income in the US before 2016. I am a new immigrant and sponsoring my relative. I didn't make enough in 2016 either. I have to use a joint sponsor. Questions:
1. Can a person who is a conditional permanent resident be a joint sponsor?
2. Can this person (also a new immigrant who doesn't have 3 years of income to show-only 2016) be a successful joint sponsor?
3. Will one year's proof of income (as per W2) plus this year's proof of income (stubs) be sufficient to be a good joint sponsor? Or will it prompt an RFE or visa denial?
Any assistance will be appreciated

So I just got the Notice of Action letter in the mail which is saying that my application was approved on the 02/24. However, online it says 02/28. So three days after my application was application was approved I got notified by email. Anyways off to the NVC. All the best guys as you wait.

What was your base and reasons to request the expedite? If you can share in details, it would be very helpful.
I'm military and I am getting my service orders soon which might be sending me overseas. That's what I told USCIS

This is atrocious! I became a citizen in September and then petitioned for my mom in October and was approved two days now, right through Nebraska. I remember when my wife filed for me in 2015, in less than 5 months I was approved at Nebraska. I don't know why they're behaving like this now. Is it the Trump syndrome? #justaskingmydear

I'm military and I should be shipping off in a few months. All the guy put was that I'm military. And I thought it'd have been insufficient. But it was all I needed

I received an email this morning from the NSC regarding an I130 expedite request I made to them on the 7th for February. The email says, in part
"Type of service requested:
-- Expedite
The status of this service request is:Your request has been forwarded to the proper department for further review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action shortly."
On the online status it says
"On February 14, 2017 ............Your request for expedite was assigned to an officer for responseOn February 23, 2017,we sent a response to your for expedited request
On February 23, 2017, your request for expedite was completed.
Does this mean that they approved the request for expedited processing, or they're still considering whether or not to grant my request? Your advice is much appreciated. I should add that this is a parent ir5 application. Thanks in advance for your help

Hello fellow VJ's
Back to tell you about my experience. My POE was on January 14 at Miami. I'd advise that anyone using Miami and is connecting ensure that when ur ticket is booked that you give yourself at least 4 good hours or more layover. After I joined that long line I went to the immigration officer who confirmed my identity and do my fingerprints. She then said I should stand by a door and wait for an officer to come and get me to take me to secondary processing. Someone later came and collect my two envelops and my passport from her. Then I was directed to a room filled with all kinds of people; including people who they doubted as visitors. I was in there almost 2 hours before an officer brought my passport and called my name and asked me to sign the document saying that I'm a conditional PR and we are to remove it 90 days before two years anniversary. The process was very easy but only that the way was very long, plus it's a first come first serve basis. Now I had to show my passport and customs declaration form to a CBP officer at the door and I was let out. I was running to get my bags to check on to my Chicago flight. I couldn't find them in time. When I finally did my flight boarding was closing in 10 mins. Then I got this customs officer who took away my jerk Lori after smelling it and smiling. 'Did your mom prepare this'? I said yes and he said 'it's not going'. By time I got to the AA counter my flight was gone and they said nothing until the next day at 6 am. I stood in the line for customer service when someone came and asked 'anyone for Chicago'? I said me me!!! LOL. Then I got on. I didn't arrive in Chicago until 2 am. My family were there and left because I told them I'd nor get on another flight until the next day. So when I reached I had to call them and aske them to get me
Advice 101: avoid those big airports like Miami and ATL if they're not your final stop. It's not worth the head ache. And also to save yourself the stress don't take foods that is gonna cause u undue delay at customs. Praise God. It's done until the condition removal. Thanks all. And those of you waiting just know it's gonna work in your favor.

Hello everyone
How's the new year so far? For me I can say that God has given us a merry Christmas and a happy new year. On Thursday I'll be leaving for the US. After we've waited so many months. I can say that we've been finished in less than a year. The expedite was very easy and we didn't even provide any proof. It was just be letting them know we needed one because of the financial impact the life apart has caused. I'll report as soon as I'm able on my experience at the POE. Keep on praying those of you still waiting. God will favor you all as He did for us. On an encouraging note I have not seen one person getting denied a family based visa on the day of my interview.
