Hello Groupmates,
So my n400 is pending (applied in april 2019), local uscis office is in NOLA. Currently we are relocating to MD jn couple weeks. I am changing my address online, is it enough? Or should i fill out AR-11 too?
Thank you!

Hello all N400 april filers,
i have just ( 2 days ago) applied for n 400 online based on 3 year marriage and estimated date says: 20 months :0 I hope it goes faster than that.
i was reading here who applied online were getting their NOAs and Biometric dates right away, but mine just says processing. How long did yours take if you applied online?
Thank you!
Good Luck to all of us!

It was this on our embassy's website :
Due to worldwide technical problems, the U.S. Embassy in Astana and Consulate in Almaty are unable to process applications for U.S. visas that were submitted on or after June 9, 2015. Nonimmigrant visa applicants who submitted the DS-160 application form on or after June 9 should cancel their interview appointments at...
It says Nonimmigrant visa???
-
Don't want to reschedule either. We waited (wasted) enough only for NOA2, but didn't know what to do since we didn't get any emails from embassy about their problem. Why would you reschedule? I wouldn't. They delay could be a couple of days or weeks. The longer you put off your interview, the further to the back of the line you'll be.
-
I thought about it and I'm not sure what that would do really. This problem will take however long it needs to be fixed regardless of your interview date. Might as well get in line, right?
Also, I see Charleston is your local office.... I live there!!
Our interview is in mid July, hopefully they will fix whatever needs to be fixed.
I am the Beneficiary ☺ and my fiance used to live there (Charles town) but recently moved to CA.
-
If our interview is already set should we change the dates now?
-
Hope it will be fixed soon

Ok everyone..
I think it couldn't be worst at this point ... Here is some bad news for all of us
Technological Systems Issue
JUNE 12, 2015
Passport/Visa Systems Errors
- The Bureau of Consular Affairs is currently experiencing technical problems with our overseas passport and visa systems.
- This issue is not specific to any particular country, citizenship document, or visa category.
- The Consular Consolidated Database (CCD) problems we are experiencing are not the same challenges we overcame last summer. We are working urgently to correct the problems and restore our system to full operational status as soon as possible.
- We apologize to applicants who are experiencing delays or are unable to obtain a passport overseas, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or U.S. visa at this time. Domestic passport issuances are not affected at this time. We are able to issue emergency passports to U.S. citizens overseas for urgent travel.
- We are seeking to assist non-immigrant visa applicants with urgent humanitarian travel. Travelers with an urgent humanitarian need for travel should contact their nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.
- We are aware of pending overseas adoption cases, including in China. We are prioritizing these cases and seek to issue these visas with few delays.
- We regret the inconvenience to travelers, and remain committed to facilitating legitimate travel while protecting our borders. We are working urgently to correct the problem and expect our system to be fully operational again soon.
- We will post updates to Travel.State.Gov as more information becomes available.
Q: Is this the same issue as last year? Was it not fixed?
- This is not the same issue as last year.
Q: What is going on? Why cant the Department issue visas, passports, and other travel documents?
- We are working as quickly as possible to pinpoint the root cause of our technical issues.
- We apologize to travelers and recognize that this may cause hardship to individuals waiting for visas and passports overseas.
Q: How is this affecting consular operations?
Passports
- Passport applications accepted overseas on or after May 26, 2015 are affected. If you applied for a U.S. passport during this time frame and have travel plans within the next 10 business days, please consider requesting an emergency passport at the U.S. embassy or consulate at which you originally applied. Information about how to apply for an emergency passport is available on the website of the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.
Visas
- A hardware failure on June 9 halted the flow of biometric clearance requests from posts to the Consular Consolidated Database (CCD). Individuals who submitted online applications or were interviewed for visas on or after June 9 may experience a delay in the processing.
- The systems in place to perform required national security checks before we issue visas are experiencing technical difficulties. As a result, we are unable to print visas, regular passports overseas, and other travel documents.
- We cannot bypass the legal requirements necessary to screen visa applicants before we issue visas for travel.
- As a result, there is a backlog of visas waiting to be processed. We are working as quickly as possible to resolve the issue and to clear the backlog.
- The technical issues we are experiencing have disrupted or prevented some of the Departments primary data-share partners from accessing visa records.
Q: Can you print a visa without using the data system?
- Security measures prevent consular officers from printing a passport, report of birth abroad, or visa until the case completes the required national security checks.
- Service to our customers will be interrupted until the system is brought back online.
Q: Can the Department just print travel letters for those who need to travel quickly?
- At this time we are able to issue passports to U.S. citizens overseas for emergency travel.
- Domestic passport operations are not affected at this time. U.S. citizens applying for a passport domestically will receive passports within the four-to-six week standard for routine passports.
- We are seeking to assist nonimmigrant visa applicants with urgent humanitarian travel. Please contact the embassy or consulate where you applied for additional information.
Q: What caused this outage? Was it a malicious action or hack?
- There is no evidence the problem is cyber security related. We are working urgently to correct the problem and expect the system to be fully operational again soon.
Q: How long before you restore full system functionality?
- We do not yet have a timeline. We are working urgently to identify the problem and correct it. We expect the systems to be fully operational again soon.
I really hope it won't last long, we have waited enough for just NOA2 and now visa ???

Hey
I'm so happy to be reading that everyone's cases are moving!! I'm currently in DR my interview is on Monday so excited and so nervous I can't believe it's really almost over
Good Luck to you!

Great! So, even though there is no need for it other than tracking, I did call the NVC tonight. After 8 months of nothing at TSC, the idea that I can actually track my case through these next steps makes me happy. After about 1 hour listening to that great music, I had a really nice lady answer. She said they received my case today, but it hasn't been entered yet. She gave me the 35 day spiel, but I'll probably try to call back sometime next week to see if there is a case number
Our file was sent same day on May 29. Hope it was received too
-
Good luck!
Thank You ☺
When did you get your approval? For how long your file was still in Texas?
Our NOA2 dates 05.15.2015 and was sent on May 29.
-
Our file was sent to NVC today. Hope the rest goes faster now.
-
Uhhh... Guys...? My case got sent to department of state. Not national visa centre.. What's going on..?
Oh Congrats!
Our NOA2 is 1 day after yours and have been waiting 2 weeks our petition to be sent to NVC. When was yours sent? And did you get email notification like approval?
-
Unfortunately, as Av8or1 said, it can vary hugely. They send them in batches so ours didn't actually get sent until quite some time after we received actual NOA2.
You can call NVC, but be prepared for a wait, they were always nice to me, though, in the 15 times i called them.
My status was actually eventually updated on USCIS as sent to the department of state, think mine was also about 12 days
Thank you, Jktigerfan.
For now we will just wait for case was sent to nvc notification. I hope it is soon.
-
Finally found this thread.
We were approved on May 15, and we didn't get any notification that it's been sent to nvc, 12 days already. Should we call uscis or nvc now to know about our files location?

To speak with Tier 2 you have to explicitly ask for it. It's sort of like "open sesame". There is no point in arguing with "level 1" phone operators. They are just following the script. Their job is to give you the same information that's on the web site and get you off the phone.
You simply stay polite, refuse to get off the phone and repeat magic words "I would like to speak to level 2 officer, please"
You can add logical explanation as to why you want to do that, or just keep repeating. It doesn't matter. You have to say the magic phrase 3 times (I gather their script tells them to actively refuse once, ignore once and finally agree).
Once they say "I will put you through to level 2", they will forward your call to another line. Depending on how busy that line is (usually - quite busy), you may be put on hold and someone will pick up. More often, though, it will put you through to an automatic system that will schedule a callback. If you call from a phone with available caller ID, they will offer to call back that same number. They will state the expected call back time (which I found to be about right, may be a little longer). It will vary anywhere between 15 minutes and 1 hour.
Then your phone will ring, you will be put through on hold (because the automatic callback places you back in the holding line) and in a few minutes someone will finally talk to you
Don't expect them to be any more useful, but I do find that actual USCIS officers are more polite than first level "get off the phone" types.
☺ Thank You very much,
we have just did what you wrote and were told that it is currently being looked at under review.

Did you read the link that I posted yesterday (the one wooderz originally shared on the October thread)? If Tier 2 doesn't help, you can ask to speak to a Tier 2 Supervisor. You will probably need to found on the section of the Policy Book from which you are basing your request, but you have every right to do so and they have posted this as information available to the public.
If you log into your USCIS account, you should have a reference for your service request and what you posted, and I quoted in my earlier post, is exactly what was displayed beneath our service request, which is why I thought that was what you were referring to.
Wbeem, does tier 2 call you back? We have no idea now. I asked my fiance to call to uscis and ask to talk to tier 2, but he only talked to the 1st level ( or operator) took our request, that's it. And my fiance was told that someone would get bach to us within a month.
Does tier 2 do the same? Or?
