NOA1 has your receipt number for the USCIS.
-
You are at liberty to go anywhere in US, no matter what address you gave earlier. For adress change read this https://www.uscis.gov/addresschange.

My mother hasn't got her social security number yet can she apply for me in the F2A category?
There is nothing about social security number in the USCIS instructions.
Social security Number is not required for i 130.

Go to https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-130instr.pdf and read under " What document you need to show that you are a permanent resident"
Since she has not received her card yet she can attach copy of biographic page and the page with immigrant visa & entry stamp.

These are the only correct answers in this thread.
Agreed.
Police certificate is not required in Pakistan. It can be checked on NVC website.

Your brother cannot get visa with your parents. you need to file for him separately under F4 and it may take 13/14 years to get visa for him. If one of your parent, after becoming permanent resident, applies for him under F2b category it will take less time ie around 8 years.
-
If your parent is still LPR and you are married, you do not qualify for immigrant visa. however if he/she is citizen now then you can be petitioned under F1 or F3 depending upon your marital status.
-
You , being petitioner, need to fill form i 864. You need to enter only your income( not your husband) as reported in tax return. Since you do not meet financial requirements, you need joint sponsor. Joint sponsor also needs to fill i 864 in the capacity of joint sponsor. Your husband doesn't need to fill any form.
since each of your parent has separate petition you and the joint sponsor both are required to fill i 864 forms for each of them separately. One person can be joint sponsor for both of them if he has sufficient income. otherwise arrange two joint sponsors ie one for each parent.

Assets multiplied by three times is only for spouse of USC ( as he/she become eligible for naturalization after three years)and multiplied by 5 times is for other relatives.

you can change it at POE. Also make sure with CBP officer that it is changed. Once you get in US, change your address online as well.
-
You can send prepare two separate packets ie one for your mom and one for dad. Each packet containing all the documents , financial as well as civil with covering sheet( having case# and name) on the top. Put both packets in one large envelope and mail. Dont forget to write case# on each page.
For Joint sponsor, he/she can be any one who is above 18 and Us Citizen/ Permanent Resident and meets financial requirements.
-
you can carry $ 10,000/ without declaring it. Above this limit you need to declare at POE.

As long as your mother maintains her permanent residency, there shouldn't be any problem. my father entered as IR5 , applied for my little brother(7 year old) and left after staying in US for 12 days. came back again after 6 months and applied for re entry permit. he will stay only for two months for his biometrics. he will be back in US along with my brother, hopefully after a year when my brothers is through his immigration process.
-
I think it shouldn't be a problem as all the info is available to CBP officers on computer.

April visa bulletin is out and priority date of Oct. 2014 has become current. if the current trend continues your PD may become current in May 2017.

Its not only OP but many would leave, as far as I know. Its better to live anywhere in the world but America under the presidentship of a racist and abuser who has no respect for humanity.
-
On the basis of movement trend of f2 a category, your priority date may become current in March 2017. This is just an estimate. surprises cannot be ruled out and it may become current this year or it can move backward. So keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Its too late. get an infopass appointment at the nearest USCIS centre. They might be able to tell the status of your card.
Both of my parents cards were sent after three weeks. Both the cards could not be delivered and were returned to uscis by the post office due to incomplete address. They contacted uscis to re send the cards. it took 2 months in my mothers case and 5 months in my fathers case till the delivery at correct address. During this period we made several requests to uscis through calls and messages to resend cards.
-
No waiting period. They can apply the day they entered US.
-
Bio-metrics are done at the time of interview. No need to worry.
-
You can also call USCIS and talk to tier 2 officer. I 90 would cost you money as you will have to pay the fees. If your card is not sent to you yet or it has been returned back to USCIS, it will be delivered to you without cost. Don't rush to apply for replacement. Stamp on your passport at the time of entry is good enough as it serves as temporary green card for one year from date of entry. For now you just need to take up the matter with USCIS. If calling them doesn't serve the purpose, get the info pass appointment and visit the nearest USCIS centre.

If you keep both the passports (old & new) while travelling, there shouldn't be any problem.

Yes i agree to both.. I'm always browsing on forums and read about their stories. I've seen that most people who already have thir visa approved. I feel happy for them but sorry for myself and my kids. I think i will do that, call nvc ask for somebody on the higher postiiton. I hope there will be good news the next time i call. Thank you!
it is already delayed enough. applicants with PD sep. 2014 have already been scheduled for interview. you should call NVC and talk to tier 2 officer.

All fees are paid at NVC. no fee is required at Embassy. you need to pay $165 for GC after you get the visa. This is paid on line.
