Hi I have a similar timeline as yours! I filed my ROC on Sept 2018 at CSC, then filed N-400 with pending I-751 on August 2019. After I filed N-400, my ROC application transferred to the local office but it got transferred again to another office that has jurisdiction (not sure where). The status havent updated since then.

Therefore, I was wondering how would you know your case was transferred to Potomac? I am not sure if both my applications will be processed at Seattle office or elsewhere. I heard your I-751 was approved. Congratulations! I have a similar timeline but my ROC hasnt been approved yet!

Hi there. My case was also transferred to the local office and then to Potomac. It says on the transfer letter they send in the mail. Did they never send you a letter about the transfer?

  2. On the 15th I got a message that new card is being produced and today I got a message that my case was approved. Shouldn't this be the other way around? Like case is approved first and then the card production next.

Based on others timeline I thought I would get my card in a day or two but I guess they are prolonging it even at the end. How long did it take for your card to arrive after your case was approved?

  3. Hey guys I got an update that new card is being produced. Here is my rundown of the case so you can compare.

Applied Sept 25 2017 to CSC. Applied for N400 on October 11th 2018 and my ROC case was transferred to Potomac on October 16th. Now it got approved.

At least I don't have to worry about a combo interview now since the N400 completion date here in Seattle is December 2020. Good luck guys.

I guess I have learned it the hard way but to all Seattle filers out there, please do not file N400 with a pending i751. Do not do that. It would drain your soul and your energy. Seattle office is the slowest one in the nation and they could f us over and over.

Already did that mistake despite my wife telling me otherwise. My I751 should have been approved by now. Although mine is still at Potomac so I'm gonna give them a call next week just in case.

  5. New filer joining in. I submitted on October 10th and got done with my biometrics already. I751 is still pending since Sept 2018 at CSC. When I filed N400 they transferred my I751 to the local office but then transferred it again to Potomac. Estimated completion date is dec 2020 lol. The officer at the biometrics said we're currently one of the slowest ones.

  6. I hear you. I think since our wait time for N400 is so long they sent the I751 somewhere else since it doesn't make sense to make it wait that long. Other people's that got transferred to local offices have a short wait time so it makes sense to process them together. Our I751 will probably be processed before the N400 hopefully. Mine is sitting at Potomac currently originally sent to CSC.

mine looks just like this. As for the case completion date it depends on how long the wait time is for your local office. My local office is Seattle so it has a long time and the case completion date is December 2020.

BTW if see that you have 2 case transfer notifications. Did they transfer your case to local office and then transferred it again somewhere else because that's what happened to me.

That is kind of unusual although you can never be 100% sure about USCIS’s procedures.

It could be “the exception that proves the rule” or an accidental transfer to the wrong location which would be corrected later.

It could be that your case was already in the process of being transferred to Potomac right when you filed for naturalization and they were unable to pull your I-751 file for it to be transferred to MSC and from there to your local field office.

It could also be an internal procedure which we are not aware of.

Frankly, it could be any imaginable or unimaginable scenario as USCIS is well know for those!

Don’t lose any sleep over it.  Just follow their instructions and eventually it will all play out just fine.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Not worried just wondering whats up with them. It got transferred to my local office on October 11 but then got transferred again to Potomac per the online profile but I only got notice for the Potomac one so who knows.

  9. I applied for N400 a few weeks ago and have my biometrics scheduled for next week at Seattle with estimated completion date of December 2020.

I got a letter that said my I751 got transferred to Postmac SC. Isn't my pending I751 supposed to be transferred to the same local office as the N400 to be processed together or am I missing something?

Wherever I read on this website people say their I751 got transferred to their local office.
