I just wanted to thank everyone for their help during this long process. My fiance visa was approved yesterday and he is coming next week!!! :dance: I will post a review of his experince at the embassy today. Thanks again!

Another question--does it cost anything to expedite these forms?

Also--how long would it take to get them if I expedited the process? I'm asking because I need to DHL these forms to my fiance two weeks from now.

Also, the local IRS office i looked up online said that it can send out tax transcripts but only in hardship cases. It said: (Verifiable hardship cases; hurricane damage, medical emergencies, etc)

Would my situation, if explained to them, fall under the hardship criteria? :-s

Hello i had my interview last aug7, it was fine the CO was very nice. They only get my fiance W-2 tax form and certificate of employment thats all...its ok if its scanned or fax cos she will be needing that and they are gonna ask for that documents...Goodluck and tell to your fiance dont be scared and dont feel nervous as long as she have all the documents needed and you have genuine relationship...GOD BLESS

I am very worried. My fiance is having her embassy interview this Sept. 6 and, for the life of me, I cannot find my tax returns!!! I had them filed with my family's and they've suddenly disappeared! It was said that my fiance is to bring these tax forms to the embassy on her interview along with several other forms on the information list she received from the Manila embassy.

Is it absolutely necessary for her to have my tax forms? If so--is there anything I can do if I can't find them? :/

I'm very worried and have so little time to get these papers to her!

If someone could provide some info then PLEASE do so!

Yes you can go with her i saw few girls that have thier fiance on thier interview it can be lessen the stress. about the visa it depends on how they want to released it...i guess you should have to wait 2 weeks the most prior to the interview...goodluck

Hello i need help i am a single mom i have 1 child my fiance put her name on our application but the problem is she is registered on my parents name...i just recieved our appointment letter and she is included there...my question is should i put her name on the DS-157 on the childs list knowing that she is registered on my parents name should i get affidavit to the lawyer that she is no longer on my custody?She is not coming with me.What should i do? For those who have same as my case please let me know what would i do this is stressing me...Thank you so much your reply would be highly appreciated...GOD BLESS

Hello you are few days ahead approved from us, did your fiance recieved her appointment for medical? If so, how long it takes to recieved it? Thanks and good luck....

I called the NVC yesterday to get my MNL#, in which they gave me, then I asked the status regarding my case and the guy kindly told me that it was sent to the Philippine Embassy on 5/25. Wow, that was quick only two days from 5/23 to 5/25. Next step, interview date, I guess I need to really start gathering all the documents required, I'm going to make sure my baby is prepared well in advance. Keep up the Great work NVC!

From what you wrote it sounds like they sent another NOA1 if it is describing how they will process your case. It does not say anything about approval, only pending still.

Yeah, it is a generic message basically saying "we sent you a letter before but you did not get it, so we are sending you another one. Hence the "Duplicate notice sent"

How come I recieved a letter from NVC telling me that I was approved but the website has "case still pending" and I have not received a NOA2 from them. She told me to hold on, after about 30 secs she told me that I was approved may 7 and that there must have been a problem with the system. She said that she will have another one sent out and it should arrive within two weeks. I checked the website after I got off the phone with her and it was updated with this message: Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Duplicate notice sent.

On May 24, 2007, a duplicate notice on this case was mailed describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) is still pending, you will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. What did I learn from this? Customer service people have more power then they lead you to believe. And, if they don't want to take the extra step to help you, they won't.

Congratulations!!! Wow it makes you wonder what happened to the cases that just lay around for 6 or 7 months? When they change that date on the web site that says they're now processing cases from blah blah blah date, that's some catalyst that makes them clean the cobwebs off the old cases?

I just called USCIS and they told me that I was approved on May 7 but the system was having problems and did not send out a notice. The crazy part is, I called customer service 3 times before I received the notice and they all told me my case was still pending.

I'm not sure if you guys know that Lockheed Martin won the customer service contract about 8 months ago. I know this because my coworkers wife just got a job working for them here in Albuquerque. So who knows who is screwing up around there.

Well, it seems as though someone does have our petition. We have sat waiting now for over 6 months. Today in the mail I get an RFE that was dated April 26th. Seems as though they want some more evidence of meeting. I sent over 20 photos of us together, hotel receipts, passport entry and exit stamps, copy of airline purchase order and I guess this wasn't enough.

Not sure what else I can dig up except maybe credit card bills that show purchases made in the Philippines. I'm pretty disgusted right now.

That's to bad. As you know we too have been waiting for over 6 months. I hope everything is ok with our paperwork.We will see.

Thanks for all the advice, however, i am a person who believes in rules. I will wait till the six month time frame is up, then i will give them hell. This month is a wash anyway since i will be in the Philippines for the rest of it. If still no approval when I come back, I will go into overdrive and find out ####### is going on.

The sad part is, I have already been told that I can do nothing til the end of the 6 month window. Hopefully the system will work for me!! If not, I will pack my things and move to the PI for a few months.

~160+ days and counting!! , I have decided that in order to relieve my stress, I will fly to the Philippines next week and spend some time with my baby.
