Hey guys! My NVC scan date is January 19th. I received a check list this morning . I'm sending the corrections today through overnight mail. From experiences you guys know about, does it usually take another 30-45 days once they receive checklist items??? I'm super bummed and hoping they can process the corrections a bit faster

I am filing from France too for an IR-1 visa. Our case is really simple, married for 6 years, 2 kids, always lived together and very much in love :-). We filed beginning of August and the process is taking much more time compared to what we had planned. It's going to take about 9-10 months instead of 5-6 months. I would recommend to have a quick planned civil wedding at the Mairie in France not Bulgaria (your file needs to be as easy as possible for paperwork), plan the wedding you want in the US. there were a few cases of people who entered the US with a fiancé visa and who had an emergency situation back home. They went back home without any approval and got stuck (I think). So if you Have the wedding here in France plan 9-10 months for the visa process from the moment you file. You won't be in the US in the fall... Sorry! Good luck

Does anyone suggest things we should do or have already ready once its sent to NVC? The only thing I have put aside was the money for the fees but other than that i dont have anything ready. I just want to turn everything in ASAP.

We all misses our love ones. Hope we can all be with them soon.
