I feel ya', naija. I can completely relate because that is something awesome about this site - other's information! It helps to pass the wait by looking at the timelines and the progress of approvals. I don't like when some timelines say transferred to CSC, when they were only routed their because their state is assigned to CSC - then when actual transfers might happen, we have to have impossibly long threads to keep up with the news!
I didn't think my timeline would throw anyone off because it should be showing on the Cali Igor list - but it should reflect my situation now. My address change has been filed with them. Given the transfer that happened last year, USCIS could have seen the affect of this backlog, but probably was not addressed because management may be driven by budget dollars and span of control. But when you can't manage your case load, don't forget you are messing with people's lives here! Oy vey!!!!!!!

I am looking at April really resentfully. I want that month to go by so fast! Wondering if any of us March filers will be touched at CSC. Wondering if TSC is going to transfer their cases. Wondering if that will cause March filers to be delayed. Wondering, wondering, wondering. I am not looking forward to April - at least it's only 30 days.
Now May? That is what I want! Then, we will all have a good idea of how everyone's transfers are handled, how quickly those who have been waiting for longer than 5 months get their NOA2, and how many cases get transferred (if TSC keeps some of their petitions). Maybe by May, TSC will have some well trained adjudicators too???
C'mon April, get out of here! C'mon NOA2, find your way to everyone's mail boxes! The absence of the NOA2 is like a dark spot hovering over the heart of the petitioner. A family waiting to be made whole. Love waiting for the touch. Each step gets me closer - so April, please don't get in our way!!!!!

Ohzee, your time line with your fiancée actually matches ours! When my fiancé has his interview, I plan to send a signed letter addressing this. Before we met, neither one of us believed in dating without serious marriage intentions. Our engagement was a few months after we made contact, so I was thinking this may be a red flag for the officer. In my situation, I could not maintain a friendship with him when my emotions were getting deeper - it would have been inappropriate.
It's good to know that a short relationship isn't grounds for refusal! I may face different challenges as your journey, but I wanted to comment on our similarities.

I really hope that all the TSC people with NOA1 dates from August and September get worked and finished next week when the petition transfer boxes are cracked open! What a long wait! C'mon, USCIS! Let us all marry!

Don't feel too discouraged, GH. You are well along the process; remember, all the service center's goal is to work a petition within 5 months. Try not to focus on how you can speed the process along until after the end of 6 months, just so you don't get too focused on the process. The wait can develop like a dark cloud over your head, and you have a new life to care for and your charges as well.
There may be a change in wait times, some service center transfers to even out workloads, and you may find a petition or two to sign - if nothing else to help make you feel as if you spoke up as best you can.
You can find other forums in this site that can help you vent your frustrations, but stay as close to your future spouse as possible. Try to think of your future lives with each other that don't always involve deadlines. Don't feel ashamed to cry.
We are all in this together. Stay diligent and stay yourself. Watch the timelines (keep yours updated as well) to make sure your case doesn't fall through the cracks. Of all the thousands upon thousands of K-1 visa's that are processed by the government each year, they don't all have problems. May your petition slide through the entire USCIS, NVC, and State Dept processes like a newborn slipping into this world into the doctor's hands!!!!!

I've read some parts of the rights of the immigrant spouse (and have heard of cases) where if the immigrant spouse/beneficiary claims physical abuse from the US citizen/petitioner, they are able to still get their green card and move forward with the immigration process.
I believe that they most often need to prove the abuse through police reports, medical reports, witness statements, etc, but they will be treated like the victim.
Even if the other folks in your new family leave, you still may have problems with this related to false accusations. Her brother may be allowed to stay because he may be considered a potential "breadwinner" of the household - especially if she cannot work because of her current or any 'new' medical conditions.
