  1. I thought of writing my K1 visa interview details for everyone to benefit from and to ease some of the stress on the rest of k1 visa seekers.

I advise first that u have to request the interview in advance because they won’t schedule you right away, well at least for the consulate in Kuwait, my interview was after one month.

I have reached early to the interview (always better), and when it was finally my turn, i was extremely nervous but the first consular welcomed me in a very nice way and started checking the documents (the embassy already emailed a set of stuff to prepare, the officer said they didn't need all that, specially the other copy of the first k1 file, and the fees were more than the one mentioned in packet 3, but who cares i wanted to get done with it), and asking questions while doing so: like when is the marriage, will ur family attend , where did u first meet and when. Then I was asked to wait, and another officer called my name for the 2nd interview, he definitely asked more questions about my fiancé, like what does he do for a living,

then when I’ll be getting married, mainly all easy questions, however i think everyone should be prepared for this one: why u didn't get marry in the states when u visited?

I replied cause that's not legal not to mention even if we get married in any other part of the world that would mean that I’ll have to be separated from my husband and we both do not want that.

After that he said nothing wrong with ur file, ur visa is approved, we will call you within one week and we will cancel ur B1B2 visa. However I collected my passport after 2 days.

So that's it hope my post can help you guys and good luck for the rest of your journey

  2. Hey all,

At the beginning of June we received our NOA2 and haven`t heard anything ever since from NVC or the consulate.

Does anyone of you know if they are in delay or something at the NVC?

We already sent an email to figure out our status, but also didn't hear back from them. We tried to call but can't reach anyone.

It's more than 1.5 months now and we are worried about our application.

Also I was wondering how I will hear back from the consulate for my interview? Will they send a letter or call me? Will they give me an appointment for the interview that I will have to go to or can I tell them my preferred days?

    Thank you all!

    Worried Jasmina

Call the nvc at 7 am in the morning and keep on trying you will go through, they will put u on hold for like 30 mins but theb someone will reply and they should give u ur case number, we kept calling them and got our case number after 15 days, and they don't reply to emails.

  3. As recently as when? I received my NVC letter in April as well as one from USEM in May (a month after they received the petition, we already had the medical and interview scheduled). Asking for reference when discussing with other people.

As recent as last week, I already emailed the NVC one month ago, they never replied and kept calling until the 18th of june and they kept giving different answers. 21st of june went to the US embassy in kuwait wih the letter they have emailed and the ceas status page, and I was fine as well as I have used the same page to finish the medical test.

What u can do to make sure is to call the NVC again, better at 7 am in the morning, that's the time I went through the most.

  4. The nvc are sending letters anymore, I called them a lot and they kept telling me the letter is on its way, until a lady told me they are not giving letters for k1 visa anymore so I used the CEAC case status mentioning the case number and it worked just fine, and I even I used the same when I went to the embassy in order to acquire a letter for police clearance.

Hope that will help, good luck

  5. For people who obviously got offended from my post, please do not miss interpret my words, no one is getting "flamed", and for sure not attacking Filipinos, cause my close friends comes from Philippines, and I'm sure if it was any other nationality I would state the same.

This is government work, and chances should be equal to everyone, when we apply for such visa, we are looking for love not for social aid, otherwise people from different countries (as I said before) who are suffering from war should have their applications expedited, I know as well that what im saying is thoughts being shared as all of you do here, and for sure it wont affect the processing, or government decisions so for the moaning part, this forum is not only for information its for support as well, same as "Mecha23" did with "LoveinGhana!", so when members share there pain here there are not nagging, they are just in need for encouragement to endure this torture of separation, and what you just said (you know ur self) is direct flaming and bashing.
