WE GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!! WE ARE SO ESTATIC!!!!!!!! HE WILL BE COMING SOONEST!!!!!!! HE SAID THAT ALMOST EVERYONE WHO HAD THEIR INTERVIEW THAT DAY WAS APPROVED WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME K-1 PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH EVIDENCE SUPPORTING THEIR RELATIONSHIP OR PEOPLE THAT DIDN'T HAVE SUFFICIENT INCOME FOR THEIR AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT.

HE SAID HIS INTERVIEW ONLY TOOK 5 MINUTES. THE WAIT TIME WAS ABOUT 2 HOURS FROM THE TIME HE ENTERED THE EMBASSY. HE SAID EVERYONE WAS PRETTY MUCH INTERVIEWED IN FRONT OF EVERYONE ELSE SO THEIR WAS NO PRIVACY.

We were just so excited that I don't know much details as to the questions asked. So i will ask him and post them here for others who will soon be going through the process.

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes. I'm so nervous and excited, I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonite. I will definitely let you all know how it goes. We are both quite excited and have already started making plans hoping and praying for the best.

My husband went to the embassy today to pick up packet 3 and 4 and his interview date is scheduled for August 25th!!!!!! Couldn't believe Lagos actually booked it so soon. I am so happy and can't even sleep anymore. I Thank God that we are almost through the next hurdles. I ask for you prayers and I thank you so much for all your help and support thus far.

Hello my fellow VJers,

The embassy in Lagos has confirmed that they received our case from NVC however, they stated they will not send out packet 3 until an interview date is scheduled. My question to those of you who went through Lagos..... I noticed in your time lines that your better halfs picked up packet 3 from the embassy. How did they know when packet 3 was available for pick. Did you receive phone calls emails...etc. I just don't want a situation where they mail it out, bc we'd like to save some time. And given our experiences thus far, I'd really prefer it.

90 Days and the NVC has not received our I-129F petition from the USCIS...

Sent a copy of our NOA2 letter to the NVC.

Contacted my congresswoman. The immigration department has yet to respond on what she is doing.

We're thinking of me just going to her country, getting married and doing an IR-1 instead.

Any comments on others in the same situation on how you got through or what's happening?

Sorry about your situation. I know exactly how it feels knowing you have an approved petition, and people who are approved on or after your date are moving along with the process while your still at a stand still. Me and husband WERE in the same boat. However, all that changed once we involved a congress person. They put in an inquiry and it was noted that our approved petition was sent to the records department instead of NVC. (This inquiry in itself took about 30 days) They have now corrected the mistake and have sent it to NVC. We just got our case number today. So hopefully things will move along nicely with no more hickups.

my thoughts to you is please please be patient. Yes, I know its hard, but its much better than starting over. Because even if you start over, there is no guarantee that the USCIS won't crew up. You just never know. It will cost you money to travel to where your fiance is, the wedding will also cost money...all the time you've spend to date would be in vain. I don't suggest starting over, hopefully your congress person will get back to you and you can move forward as well.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Although not the same but quite similar. Our k-3 case was approved on 4/13/06 and is yet to be received by the NVC. They've also mentioned to wait until the 90 day mark before they can provide me further instructions.

Yes, I call them daily. At first was told it takes 2-4 weeks to receive, once that time lapse, they are now saying it can take up to 90 days for them to receive. I even called the NBC to no avail. So we are just going to focus on CR1/IR1

I feel for you...Hopefully you'll get them soon....I know how frustrated you're feeling.

Not likely....but you never know. Ours was approved within 73 days...and it still hasn't been received by NVC. But each case is different. So think positive, and it just may happen.
