  1. Everyone here, except for one who got NOA2s were special cases. They were not doing the normal IR1/CR1, they were doing DCF, direct consular filing processing. Meaning they essentially skipped normal USCIS processing because they lived abroad with their spouses, for at least 6 months or more, and in that case its much faster to get your NOA2.

The rest of us are still waiting the NOA2. Two months have passed so expect at least 3 more except for CSC which is running faster than the rest of the centers, right now. Unless luck falls upon you!

As far as I know transfers are random, and probably are selected randomly just to decrease the backlog at service centers.

All we can do is wait, we're almost half the way there.

Ok Looky, Thank you so much for the information. It really does help my nerves and mind a lot. But we are a third of the way there to the end.

  2. I think its not necessary to make copies of everything. Like for the forms I did the same thing just kept them on my computer. Copying evidence is a good idea cause in case you get an RFE, its possible they could ask for more evidence. I think the process has gotten more electronic, like what the lockbox initially does is scan all your documents so they have an electronic copy. So its less likely they loose things. Don't hold me to that, just read it online somewhere.

Official documents like birth certificate, passport etc. for sure you should have made a copy cause you certainly don't want them keeping your originals, because you won't get them back!

For your husband, original evidence and documents like marriage certificate is best as they could ask for originals for the interviews, but by that time you may have new stuff like phone records, and financial sharing, more up to date pictures, receipts etc to show ongoing marital relationship.

So will they tell us if they need the I-134 or the I-184 info. Also, I have another question. My co-sponser filed her taxes but only filed 2 W2's for 2015. She going to amend the other next. If they ask for this Yrs returns should I send a copy of all her W2's??

  3. Hey everyone Good Afternoon, I have a dilemma about my I-130 packet that I sent in. I didn't make a copy of my packet before I sent it in. My mind got so excited about being done with it that I forgot. But I have everything saved on my laptop so I can just simply print them off. So if the copy I give husband is a lil different from added stuff and different dates on the affidavits. Will that throw up some red flags and prolong our process???

  4. What JlovesA said. No requirement to change your name, and makes no difference to the border guards. Just in case you have to tell them he's your husband, they might ask if you have return ticket and reason to return to US and such.

Ok that is so good to know. Cause I'm not changing my name right away ?. The custom forms we have to fill out will have my return flight info on there. But ppl that looks through our passports can be rather nosey at times

  5. When I went on the timeline section it states I-129F which the K-3. There is where you put your NOA receipt number. I hope that answers your question.

Hello Ms.F.Brown, my husband filed I129F for K3 in November and it was sent to Texas too. But my 2 days ago my I130 was approved. I learnt later that it's very rare now that people get K3 visa :/ so I'm just saying you'd better expect I130 to be approved. Best wishes!!!!

  6. I met my husband 2013 in Jamaica. I goes to see him every 4 or 7mos. We got married on 7/22/15 and I haven't seen him since July 23rd. We've filed our I-130 and K-3 applications already and has received the 1st NOA for both. We are at a stand still cause we don't know if there is anything we should be doing or if we're supposed to be just waiting. But I'm going spring break to see my sweetie cause 7mos is long enough for us not see each other.
