I hate to say this, but, Ontarkie, you raise a really good question about the friend...
I don't want to sound paranoid, but sometimes you never know what a persons true motive is, and in my opinion, it is never appropriate for a married man to live in a home with a woman other than his wife, mother, or sister, regardless of the circumstance.
I think it is better for the husband to find a temporary home by himself or with another man. There is too much at risk with him staying with the woman friend both in regards to the AP he is under now, and in regards to the future relationship with his wife, as you never know if or when the woman friend could decided to make up a lie about the husband to the wife out of jealousy or loneliness. If the husband truly loves his wife, he would do what is in the best interest of his marriage. If anyone questions why he moved again, he can just explain that he was uncomfortable with his living situation as people began to form the wrong impression about his relationship with the roommate, and that because he values his relationship with his wife, he did not want to do anything to jeopardize it. Therefore, it was in his best interest to move out, not only to protect his marriage, but also both his and his wife's reputation.
