No need for appointment. I only took my naturalization Certificate with me and the guy who updated my information asked to see my Driver’s License and naturalization certificate which I presented and then he updated my info.
Thank you! Did you have to wait long to be seen?

For those that have had their oath ceremony already and have gone to the social security office to update their information, did you schedule an appointment or just walk in? Also, did you fill out a form to update your info, if so which form? Thanks!

Congratulations to everyone going for their oath ceremony tomorrow! We’ve finally reached the finish line! Yay!
Good of luck to everyone still waiting!

Thank you two! That comforts me a lot. I assume your husband had a combo interview too. Were you there during the interview? Do I need to bring my wife and children?
My husband’s was a combo interview, I was interviewed along with him, we also had our son with, he is under 1 year. It would be a good idea to bring them, just in case.

How much time between in line for oath and actually being scheduled?
I think for us only a week.

Took 72 days to get approval from when we responded to RFE.
Finally! Congrats! Do you know the date yet?

sounds like you guys didnt get the email or txt notifications ? true?
We did not, despite signing up for them. Notifications by email are so sporadic, every week for months we got emails saying they are still reviewing and there are no new updates on our case. Then when they scheduled the interview, no notifications, we were surprised by the letter in the mail. Then a couple days post interview we got an email stating they have taken action on our case, logged in to see it was updated as interview complete and also green card being printed. A couple days after that we got another email starting they had taken action so logged in to see it had been updated to approved.
Oh well, thank goodness we are at the end!

We’ve been waiting for notification by email that my husbands oath ceremony has been scheduled, yesterday was 2 weeks since his interview, and nothing. For the heck of it, just now, we logged in to check, and what do you know, his oath ceremony has been scheduled, the letter was dated 5/21. It’s scheduled for 6/24 in St. Paul.

How long does it take to receive a notification for your oath ceremony? My interview was 5 weeks ago and I'm in Western WI, that might make a difference. I could have done my interview the day off but opted out and now I'm impatient
That’s a good question, we were told my husband would get his notice for oath ceremony within 2 weeks, and today is 2 weeks. Normally all notices we’ve received about taking action come before 7am.

When you are in the interview. The civic tests are asked verbally or they are multiple choices on the iPad screen??
It was verbal for my husband.

My husband had his interview yesterday, they did a dual I-751 and N-400 since his removal of conditions was still pending. I went with, and was called back with him immediately to get the I-751 portion out of the way. It was pretty quick, just a few basic questions about where we live, when we got married, what we do for fun, and if we had any additional evidence. Then I was walked back out to the waiting area while they finished the interview. My husband was nervous but the interviewer was really nice and kept reassuring him to try to make him more comfortable . Overall, it was a very pleasant and quick experience, I don’t think it lasted more than 20 minutes. They approved both so now we just wait for his oath ceremony.

Question for those that have already had their interviews, for the writing portion of the interview, do they tell you the sentence you need to write, or do you copy it off of something? My husband is sort of having a panic attack about spelling. Is spelling a huge deal?
They ask me to write "We pay Tax" on a Ipad. That's all. Reading was when is the Columbus day ? ( Popped up on the IPAD to read out loud)
Easy Peasy,

Thank you all. I told him to go over the section in the book, hopefully that will help him. He’s just nervous because he still mixes up P’s and B’s. Even my father mixes them up still and he immigrated here almost 40 years ago.

For my husband they just said we are doing N400 and ROC today. Did the civics test, English test, then asking relationship questions at the end. Each IO will do it in a different order. In the end they give you a paper saying they are approving your ROC and then a separate one for N400.
BTW the interview letter won't mention the ROC but if you have a pending ROC it will be joint interview.
Thanks! My husbands interview is a week from tomorrow. He was wondering if he needed to mention to them he has a pending ROC, but it sounds like they will automatically do it. I am going with just in case I am needed from the ROC. Hopefully I won’t be, but better prepared than not.

I suspect this is because, like us, you already had ROC approved a while ago.
People who are doing these joint interviews are going to have to expect something different.
For those that did joint interviews, how did you know it was joint? Did you ask them or did they tell you?

Jumping in here, just received our interview letter, it’s scheduled for May 8. Funny because we just got an email 3 days ago stating, “We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time
We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on June 22, 2018.”
On that note, anyone in here have their N400 interview while their I751 was still pending? Trying to figure out how that works...

Are we the only ones still waiting for approval? We just received a notice last month that the preliminary review of our case has been completed, and our case has been transferred to the National Benefits Center for further review. It feels like this is taking forever.
