Hi All,
I had an interview this morning at Denver office. I waited 10 mins before an IO called my name. The interview started with an English exam and then civic test. After that, he went through all the questions listed in the application without looking at computer screen. He said he memorize them by now. He was super friendly and funny person. It didn't feel like it was an immigration interview. There was not same day Oath Ceremony so he gave me Form N-652 with Congratulations! And advise that I should be getting Oath Ceremony invitation in a couple of weeks. I came home and checked my status and it says - Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled!

Hi All,
I've applied N-400 with 5 year rule and I got GC based on I-751 waiver approval. My N-400 interview is next week and my question is - Do I need to take all the evidence/docs that I took during i-751 interview? I know they only asked to bring original divorce degree but I am afraid what If they ask any other supporting docs. Has anyone had N-400 interview based on I-751 waiver? Please advise.

By some chance have you changed your address? and failed to include the "useless" receipt number on the list of pending petitions? If not, with some slight chance maybe USPS lost the approval letter.
I received my approval letter fine but online status never showed "approved" status. It changed to "new card is being produced" later on. Regardless, the new GC is the ultimate approval. Enjoy!
Thanks Charmander for the response. Yes I did change my address few years back and updated USCIS. Also I received, NOA, biometeric notice twice, interview letter and today GC means they have my correct address. But didn't receive approval letter. I am not worried and I know GC is everything but just curious for not receiving approval letter.

Hello VJ folks - After I-751 waiver interview, on April 7 I received txt and email stated 'new card is being produced' and today I received my GC but no approval letter.I know it's not big thing and GC is everything but not receiving approval letter makes me curious when I actually got approved. Has someone ever received only card but not approval letter? Please advise.

Gertman - Thanks for sharing your interview experience. Hope you get approval soon.
My interview was very easy as well, in and out within 10mins. IO was a wonderful lady, she asked 'what I do for living' that's it. After that she said she already reviewed my file and going to approve it and I should get GC within 6-8weeks. So far hasn't received anything. She did stamp on my file and didn't know what was that for. My case is already passed 18months and not sure how long more. But good part interview is over considering it's a waiver case.

@isha2012 and @voo - I made two international trips - first with extension letter and POE was in Dallas (Dec 2014) and second with stamp on my passport and POE was in NJ (March 2016). Both times had no issue except in NJ they took me to secondary inspection to verify stamp but it was like 10mins. No question asked. Hope this helps.

so I had my waiver interview this morning at 10am local office. My attorney and I waited for 15 mins before we called in. IO was a very nice lady, she sworn me, checked my id and start asking basic background questions. And asked what I do for living. After that she was going through my file while kept talking to my attorney and said I am going to approve you and you will get your GC in 8-10 weeks. She also stated that I am eligible for Citizenship sometime end of next year. That's it. Interview lasted only 5mins. WOW. what a long wait and experience.

Moonski - Eventhough its indicated a good sign but you should still go to interview and confirm with IO unless you have a letter from USCIS stated no need for an interview. At this point you don't want to miss any chances or surprises. You wouldn't want any bad news for not coming for an interview.

Gertman- I am on same situation like yours. I've got I-751 interview setup for March 28 and I am also travelling to abroad for two weeks with only I-551 stamp on my passport. USCIS didn't take away my expired GC but cut it on the side corner so not sure if it still acceptable or not.
I have done enough research regarding travelling on I-551 stamp and based on people experienced I couldn't see any issue except some extra screening at POE when entering into the US.

Hello Everyone-It's been over a year that my I-751 waiver has been pending. VSC stated that they sent my file to OKC local office back in mid sept 2014. So I made infopass to get the status but front desk lady told me that my file is here and my green card is good until Jan2016 and come back in two months for stamping (already know this). She also mentioned that it may take another 6months for any update, but my lawyer told me after speaking to IO that my file was accidentally sent to California and local office is trying to get my file back. So now I am getting two different updates.Has anyone experienced this type of problem before or what should I do to expedite this? How long does local office take to transfer a file from one location to another? Appreciate any advice.

Hello Everyone -
It's been over a year that my I-751 waiver is pending. VSC stated that they sent my file to OKC local office back in mid sept 2014. I made infopass at the local office to get the status but front desk lady told me that my file is here and my green card is good until Jan2016 and come back in two months for stamping (already know all this). She also mentioned that it may take another 6months for any update. But my lawyer told me after speaking to IO that my file was accidentally sent to California and OKC local office is trying to get my file back. So now I am getting two different updates. I don't know which one is right or wrong.Has anyone experienced this problem before or what should I do to expedite this? How long does local office take to transfer a file from one field office to other? Appreciate any advise. -
Just found out that my case is in California. USCIS supposed to send it to 'OKC' instead they sent it to 'OKL'. WTH?
