I had one of my friends translate the papers because I felt funny sending in papers I translated and saying I was competent to translate haha. But yes, you can translate them and attach a statement saying everything is true and accurate. And no they don't need to be notarized. I just got a case complete without problems with my translations.

I just got a checklist and could cry! It's for the marriage certificate....I know I sent it!!!!! I'm going to call in the morning, not like it will do much help!

Did you send in a copy? I'm so sorry you got a checklist I got three for the AOS because they said not all 9 pages were there and they were not signed. LIESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS pure and simple LIES! Ask to speak to a Supervisor, not sure if Mari is on mornings or evenings but just tell the rep you were told to ask for her hahahaha they lie to us and they have no way of knowing if it's true or not. Yes...I sent a copy. Amazing how they could misplace it! It was clipped together with the translation and the papr certifying the translation! So frustrating.

Just got off the phone with NVC about my checklist. She said my marriage certificate isn't there and that she'll have a supervisor review it. I asked if I should send another copy...she said no because it might delay the closing of the case. I think ill just send a copy anyway. She said the supervisor review would be 42 days...and if they cant find it I would still have to send it and then how many more days!
