  1. Paid $165 immigrant visa fee. Status is at optimized.

What do i need to do next? Btw, I am still not yet in the US.

    Hi mnlDad,

What website did u go to to pay the $165 fee. Can you please provide a link to it if it's not on the CEAC site?

Hubby's visa was Approved last week, he'll come home to me in exactly 7 days and 18 hours, lol. I know i sound crazy, but boy...it was such a long and painful wait.

I hope you get home very soon.

    Cheers to all!!!

  2. Hello Good people!

I have been at the NVC for about 11 months and has finally gotten an interview in a weeks time.

(This is all due to AOS complications so I do not want to make mistakes anymore)

I know very well I have asked a question of this sort but this is more detailed and like a step to the first question I asked.

My husband is the beneficiary and when we submitted his AOS I was the petitioner and sponsor. A month after that I lost my job and at the end of the year, my income wasn't enough and didn't meet to support and sponsor him.

My brother who is married with a kid, has agreed to be our sponsor and he files a joint tax return with his wife. He makes enough alone to sponsor my husband and we are going to use just his income even though he files a joint return with his wife. Now how do we go about this, is it possible to just use his income or does his wife's income have to be added since they filed together. Can anybody give me a link as to how he my brother will fill out his 864 for my husband? If his wife will have to be added too, how do we go about it- can I have a link for that option too please.

Now about me I am in school now and unemployed so my income and other things have changed since I filed the 864 for hubby. Do I also have to fill out a new and updated affidavit of support form for him to take ? Can I just do a change in sponsor at this last minute?

    Thank you

From what ive seen on this forum both ur brother and his wife will need to fill out I-864 (one each i think) becos they filed 1040 together. You will also need to fill out an I 864 because you are the petitioner, doesnt matter if you are employed or not. Anyone, pls call me out on any of this if I'm wrong.

    Good luck !

  3. Your husbands Visa interview and they asked what your social security number is? o.O Is that even fair and allowable? I mean I know they can do and ask what they want but really? [/quot

I know!!! Do spouses in the U.S. even share that info with each other? I wonder...isn't this personal/confidential info? Like why on earth does he need to know my SSN for? Especially living outside of the U.S. I have a feeling they were looking for the slightest mistake to dismiss him. What they didn't know was God's plan for us. He promised to end this misery that lasted 7 years and nothing or no one could say otherwise! To him be the glory!!!

  4. Hubby just got done with interview. Visa APPROVED !!! OMG, i'm in shock right now. litterally crying and laughing at the same time... can't believe it.

He said CO was really hard on him asking tons of questions.

First question was one i swore would never come up. He was asked what my SSN is. Is this a weird question or is it just me taking things lightly as i always do?

Anyways, he's back at the embassy with few docs they needed from him to process/print out his visa. Will give me the whole rundown when he's done.

    Thank you all. God bless!

  5. Hi guys,

Well tomorrow is my interview and I am freaking out, I haven't been able to sleep the past few nights I am so nervous. My interview is at 10:30 so I'm asking for u guys to pray for me and to send some positive energy my way. I will let u guys no the outcome.

    Thanks in advance.

Here is to a week with lots of approved visas.

Wishing you lots of luck mrs. m. I pray everything goes smoothly ending with your visa beeing approved on the spot.

Hubby has his interview tomorrow, i'm also very anxious. Thank God he's one who knows how to keep his calm in stressful situations.

  6. I'm so sorry I can't thank you individually right now, this is what my husband received after the interview.

What does a denial under INA section 212(a)(6)©(i) mean?

You were refused, or found ineligible, for a visa under section 212(a)(6)©(i) because you attempted to receive a visa or enter the United States by willfully misrepresenting a material fact or committing fraud. This is a permanent ineligibility, so every time you apply for a visa, you will be found ineligible for this reason.

You will be advised by the consular officer if you can apply for a waiver of this ineligibility. Review Waivers of Ineligibility for more information.

What is meant by misrepresentation of a material fact?

Misrepresentation means that you falsely presented facts and were not truthful in an attempt to receive a visa or enter the United States. A fact is considered material, as it pertains to this section of the INA, when, had the truth been known, you would not have been eligible to receive a visa or enter the United States.

He said we need more proof of Bona Fide marriage, I don't know what else we can give them. I am beyond devastated and just want to sleep for the rest of my life. They are sending us back to NVC. My worst nightmare has come true we are in AP. God bless you all for your prayers and kind words.

Oh noooo! My heart is in pain reading this. I'm so sorry. Please let me know if i can do ANYTHING to help.

  8. Thanks :) I was led to believe that the embassy provides the NVC with dates and NVC books the interviews, is this not correct?

That's also what i thought, but Adam, an NVC rep explained to me that when a case is complete at the NVC, the embassy is notified and docs are sent over to them. Embassy then collects those docs and assigns then interview dates in the order they were received. This is only done during the 2nd week of the month, at least at the Yaoundé embassy. When a date is assigned, the embassy communicates with the NVC who then informs us through P4.

That's my understanding of the process, it might be variant depending on different embassies or consulates.

I hope this doesn't make it even more confusing for you...

  9. I'm wondering the same thing, starting to lose hope for March :(

I was told by NVC that my embassy schedules interviews during the 2nd week of each month for the following month. My documents arrived at the embassy of Yaoundé, Cameroon on Monday Feb 9th so i'm pretty sure i'm getting scheduled for next month since my stuff got there just in time (beginning of the 2nd week of the month).

Check how the scheduling works at your embassy, this might give you an idea of where you are in that process. I hope you both get interviewed in March.

    Cheers

  10. This was a pretty condescending reply, thanks anyway.

It wasn't my intention to show any type of condescendencein my response. I apologize for whatever i said that made you feel that way. We are all here to learn from and help each other. I don't think there is any reason why anyone would feel superior to others on this forum. I know i certainly don't feel that way and i dont intent to make anyone feel that way either.

    Cheers!

  11. Congrats to every got his CC :dancing: and best wishes to those how waiting :clock:(F) .

My AOS package is ready, but my IV will be ready after 20 day. Do you advise me to send AOS package alone or wait and send AOS & IV together  ??

    Thanks

Really depends on you. I would personally wait to submit both at the same time bcos the last scan date which will be that of the IV package will determine when your docs get reviewed and you will potentially get a cc. Also, you'll have less chances of dealing with missing docs or anything like that cos everything would be in one package altogether. But if u feel like entertaining the NVC, you can always send your AOS package 1st and the other later. Goodluck!
