I think a day or two is normal. Mine was available the next day.

I paid IV today and waiting for it to clear so that i can complete DS 260. Does anyone know how long it takes for DS 260 to be available?

I think you can apply for another certificate from Ghana. I am sure they will have a record of your marriage and they can issue you another original. You should probably start the process soon, so that you can get the certificate for NVC process.

According to your attachment, only AOS is available to pay. IV is not invoiced yet. So inorder to pay the AOS, you have to click on the box and then pay now.

I received the AOS invoice today and paid. Waiting for it to clear.

My case was received on Dec 19th and I am still waiting for a case #. According to my calculation based upon VJ data, we should get it tomorrow.

I think the main proof of marriage NVC want is the copy of the marriage certificate. So if you send that, you be fine. Just make sure you follow the instructions and submit all the documents they want. Good luck.

In addition to the 10 civic questions, there will be a writing and reading test. They will show her a sentence on a paper and ask her to read it for them and also they will have her write a sentence. Just have her read the book from top to bottom and she will be fine. Good luck.

My case was received by NVC on December 19th, but still no case #. Anyone know, how many days exactly it takes from NVC received to case # generating?

UPDATE- 01/24/2015

In order to get a Police certificate/clearance from Addis Ababa, you do not need a request letter or checklist from NVC. You can just show the NOA2 to the Federal Police Forensics Office and get the clearance. It will save you 60 days of checklist.

Heeey Thank God Almighty, I just got my CASE NUMBER from NVC by phone. The told me to expect the e-mail by next week to begin the NVC process. :joy:
