Yeah I was the one who posted that. I just don’t know when they’ll let me know or which one I am likely to be included in.

I am also getting concerned because I got a decision cannot be made during the interview. The officer said once my application is approved I will receive a letter in the mail. My status online changed to approved on 05/22 but I haven’t received an approval letter nor is there one under the document tab. So I am getting now paranoid that maybe the status change online was a mistake and I am not even approved yet.

Can anyone who got a decision cannot be made during the interview but was later approved share their experience?

    Many thanks. :)

The IO couldn't approve my N400 since I had I-751 pending. He had the case in front of him, looked at it briefly, asked a couple of questions and said that it looks approvable and it will be approved that afternoon. Few hours later my status I-751 was approved and so N400 the next day. I noticed the N400 approval letter on my profile a couple of days later.

Thanks, One more question, What are the documents I should bring with me?

I brought pretty much the same things that I submitted with my I-751 case: marriage certificate, bank statements, rent agreement with both names, car and rental insurance with both names, tax transcripts, a couple of pictures.... but I was only asked for my passport and green card. I got my green card through marriage so any comingled documents we had I brought. I am not sure how you obtained your green card. If it's different than marriage then I can't chime in.

Ohhh you mentioned spouse  in previous post :)

One more questions, actually multiple questions.

1- How long it took from getting the notification of Interview and the actual interview?

2- Did your interview was a combo? and how would you know that? Also did your spouse attend the interview with you?

Sorry, I missed the spouse thing. He came with me but he wasn't allowed with me in the room. To be on the safe side you should bring your spouse with you. Each case is different.

Good Morning, I got a notice of interview but it's only mentions-400 nothing regarding I-751. How could I know if that Combo or not???? I heard about some cases after people went to the interview they couldn't make it because the USCIS didn't know about their pending I-751 or they don't have the file.

Mine notice didn't mention I751 either but I knew that it was still pending and based on many other people experience the officers asked some questions about your I751 during the interview. I have never heard about an officer not being aware of another cases pending.

It is going to be a combo interview, prepare yourself and bring some documents just in case. They need to process your pending cases first before they approve your citizenship. In my cases it was  just a few simple questions and the whole interview ended in 16 min.

    1. Just a little bit over a month.

    2. It was kind of combo. He asked how I met my husband, went through some things from my i751 file.  He asked how we do our taxes, I needed to confirm some things. He didn't ask for any documents.  Then he started my civics and English test.

How do I know if it's a Combi Interview?  I dont see that on my letter.... It just said N400 Interview....

If you still have I -751 pending you will have a combo interview. I can tell you that based on my experience. I had my N400 interview last week while I-751 pending. The IO asked me how I met my husband then proceed with civic and English test . Then he confirmed that I passed my citizenship test but I can't be approved yet as my I-751 is still pending. He had my file and looked through it and asked me some questions:

    - My address

    - My and my husband's employers

    - How do we file taxes?

    - Do we have kids together?

Then he said that my I-751 looks approvable to him but he will approve it later on that day and most likely I should get my N400 approval the next day. The total interview was only 16 minutes long. I brought a bunch of documents with me but was asked for DL and passport only.

Today I received a message that my oath has been scheduled and notice was mailed.

    Good luck to you!!!

My case is still pending, unfortunately. Officer ended the interview without doing civics, English test. Said my case was too complicated for him lol. Long story about a USCIS error about my date of admission.

OMG you must be kidding me.... If it was too complicated why did they even schedule you for the interview and why they assigned your case to someone so incompetent. I thought they study cases before they send interview letters. I hope you will hear from the soon.

No; no tickets, no arrests, never married, no children. I did receive my GC through asylum, however, and he asked me a lot of questions about it. Did you see your file? Mine was like a foot high.

I saw mine and it was a big one too but I figured they combined all my cases starting from K1 until N400. If there is no red flags then you should not have to worry about.

Had my interview today. Decision cannot be made. I was told I’d receive a letter in 1 to 3 months that would either be a RFE or a congratulations letter.

Interview lasted 45+ minutes. There was a second IO present in the room who did not speak much but who walked me out. Anyone had a similar experience?

Not at all.  I had my interview last week.  It lasted only 16 min. Since I had my i751 pending he didn't approve me on the spot. Later on that day I saw my i751 being approved and n400 the next day.

Did you have any red flags?

Good luck for your interview , pls keep me posted

Thank you. The interview ( 16 min) went well. We arrived probably 30 min before scheduled time. The whole room was full of people but it goes pretty much fast. They didn't allow my husband to go with me. I passed  the civics and English test. He asked me following questions:

    - How did I obtain my green card?

    - How did I meet my husband?

    - Do we have any children together?

    - Where do I work and what is my occupation and the same about my husband?

    - Any travels?

I had to confirm bunch of other things.

    For civics:

    - For how many years do we choose US Senators?

    - What month do we vote for Us president?

    - When do we register for selective services?

    - One power of federal government?

    - Capital of Virginia

    - What are two ways that Americans can participate in their democracy?

Since I have I-751 pending he didn't approve my citizenship yet. He said that he looked at my case and it's approvable. He will approve it at some point today and I should have my citizenship approval by tomorrow.

I took some documents with me but I was only asked for my green card, passport and DL.
