Hi Wendy! Good to hear from you again. How is life in the US for you? Are you adjusting well?
Yup, we refuse to concede defeat and we always look at the brighter side of things. No way to go but up from this point forward. Love conquers all
hey PW your second attempt is pretty close to when i sent mine in last year for yove. you should be here if everything goes well by the last week in april. it may sound far away, but its closer then you think. me ,and yove are following this thread just to see you get your visa so keep us informed please and good luck
-
OK PW you need to get your fiancee to start to make some noise on his end. call his congressman ,and both his senators offices they have immigration specialist there. i believe you said you had all your paperwork done on your side. if it is i know that the local offices here in the US can make the embassy look at your case. trust me on this tell him to read my post. ive also found out that the average wait to bring family members to the US on a F4 is only 3 years provided you call the government officials ,and make some noise. we met an entire family that came over here in less then 3 years as an average.
how did they get here they called there local government officials and made some noise a lot of noise and guess what there here.
you can sit back and let the government officials tell you what to do or you can call the people in power and tell them what you want done and continue to do so till you get what you need.
(forgive my grammer here im pissed)
PW i can think of no one here that deserves to be here more so then you. tell your Fiancee to get calling and to keep calling make some noise a lot of noise go down to there offices get to know the people.
meet the immigration people and make sure they know his name bring pictures if he has to and make sure he leaves them there in there office make sure that the immigration specialist know your pissed and want action.
Yove got here and got here because of a lot of screaming and calling and making a whole lot of noise.
dont give up fight to be here PW you deserve to be hit with a snowball if anyone does

I've received my visa yesterday.
Though, I just want to confirm/clarify something.
The visa package is wrapped in a clear plastic (inside are purposely cut brown envelope, some documents outside the brown envelope, instruction for CFO and my passport). There's an instruction that says I should not open the visa package because it will be opened upon entry in US and if not followed will cause some difficulty and delays. My understanding to this is I can open the plastic but not the brown envelope and one more thing the brown envelope was cut purposely, so that adds to my confusion bec there's also instruction that I should not open it.... Help! Please shed the clouds
I can't afford to make mistakes now so I'm asking folks out there who have been through this process....
dont open the brown envelope, but if it was opened call the embassy to let them know maybe someone did it in error ,but better to fix it now then be delayed for hours at the airport.
ok spoke to yove she states that the brown enevolope is cut by the embassy but only a few inches to show that there is paperwork in it

It takes a long, long time to bring family over to the USA on F visa. For brothers and sisters, it will take a 22 year wait based on current priority dates.
Family
Preference.....Priority Date
1st..............01OCT91
2A...............08SEP99
2B...............01DEC92
3rd..............01DEC85
4th..............15JAN84
First Preference or F1: Adult but unmarried sons and daughters of U.S. citizens and qualified derivative family members.
Second Preference or F2: Spouses and minor children (below 21) of lawful permanent residents (LPR) apply for F2A visas while the adult, unmarried sons/daughters of LPRs apply for F2B visas
Third Preference or F3: Married sons and daughters of U.S. citizens, and their qualified derivatives family members.
Fourth Preference or F4: Brothers and sisters of U.S. citizens, and their qualified derivative family members. Note: Only U.S. citizens at least 21 years of age can file petitions.
omg thats terrible

lol im still working on making Yove yell and scream......... do you know how hard it is to get a filipina to scream in anger and complain..... they'd rather do tampo instead i hate tampo
Be happy Yove is what she is. You wouldn't wish a " screaming, angry and nagging Filipina wife" to your worst enemy. We're the worst kind, I tell ya
no truer words were said PW!
lol of that i have no doubts lol

as for my fight with the government i found out i ruffled a lot of feathers
the senator's office told me that i made my problem well known to everyone. she laughed said she would hate to be on my bad side.
she sent me this link to let me see how well she deals with immigration issues i was impressed
http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/...ps_here/?page=1
Wow, very impressive indeed. I wish all government workers were like Ms. Emily.
hope PW you get your appt. and kick your soon to be Atawa in the butt tell him to start screaming it worksCan't kick my soon-to-be asawa's butt as the ball is still in my hands. I'm not done with the LCR-NSO annotation thingy. Can't imagine him screaming his head off though. He's way too nice for his own good sometimes. Prefers to suffer in silence
... which is a good sign for a good husband

Yove was looking up a friend on the internet and found this site. thought a lot of you met on CB so i thought you might want to read this
http://scamvictimsunited.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1751
i personally think this is someone with an axe to grind , but its worth reading. the girl in question that was banned works for the condo place, and introduced me to Yove ,and Yove never used CB before.

hello everyone long time no post thought I would share this for those of you getting your visa's
very very important once you get to America file for your SSN (you can do it before your marriage)
file for your AOS and EAD ASAP
we had a problem with Yove's SSN they didn’t put in her middle initial, or did put it in. and it caused a 2 month delay that made me get screaming mad storming into my congressman’s office etc etc. for those of you long time posters probably know my screaming temper tantrums at government officials is pretty well documented.
Now Yove risks losing a great job in Boston on august 3. needless to say i spent all morning screaming at USCIS who told me there’s nothing they will do because its SSA fault for the delay not there’s ( WRONG ANSWER TO GIVE ME ) I called senator John Kerry office senator Ed Kennedy’s office and congressman dellahunts office ,and called channel 7, 4 and 5 as well as the Boston Globe and Herald. (im anything but discrete) Sen. Kennedy's office called me they had gotten my message ,and a call from the herald asking about what they were going to do. ive been assured that if there's anyway that the senators office can help they will. and they told me not to worry she wont lose her job.
the squeaky wheel gets the grease. and i know how to squeak

right now im discovering how to deal with tampo
Oh-uh, she's giving you the cold shoulder? You'd better read up on "tampo" at asawa.org Depending on how severe you offended her, the tampo can last a few hours to a few weeks. It'll be sweet once she's over her tampo.
well i figured out what i did and since apologized for it and slowly recovering from it.
things are goin well otherwise buisness is slow but its still there. and dont worry PW things will work out
-
PW any word on when your finally getting out of there ????
i see windchaser got his interview congratz
yove got a great job here in boston she was very happy and shocked at the pay difference between the 2 countries
right now im discovering how to deal with tampo
-
congratz PW looks like you will finally get here just to let you know me an Yove were married today. good luck
-
quick question can you apply for AOS before the wedding ??? our wedding is planned june 6th in mass it takes about 220 days
-
Congrats windchaser 4
I am curious about the 156 question also. I am calling the embassy tuesday ( gotta get my 18 dollars worth
) I will add that too my list
your better off calling sandy then spending the 18 dollars it really is a waste of time to talk to them and other then long distance charges its free ,and with a lot better information 011632 528 6300 X 5184

Here is some info for everyone. Rosemarie passed her physcial today
4,940 pesos payable in cash at St Lukes
She stayed at a hotel near the ctr for 1,300 peso a nite, but I forgot to ask the name.
She showed up at 0430 for the first day and still got a ticket with number 50
Was out of there by 1;30 pm the first day, 12;30 the next day. She received 2 vaccines on her second day
I dont agree with some posters about the usefulness of info from this board ; this is why. The problems get started with the orginal visa petition here in the states . So if you have submitted sketchy information, or partial information it is allready too late.
Now I am not knocking any of this. We are all in this together and this board is full of great people and great info , but the devil is in the details and how the orginal info and petition is submitted. This is my humble opinon
I would not get any documents to early, espically not sending over the I-134 before you get your notice from consulate for your interview date, or real close to that date.
Good luck to all ; we are online for May 16 th for the interview
regards
Brad
i guess its how you read into the information given yove an myself found the information provided here to be first rate. i'ld say the majority of information helped so much that yove is here today instead of next month waiting on an A.R
-
We did try to encourage the "lurkers" to get themselves listed. Maybe, they're too shy, I don't know. I'll try to keep this thread alive until after we're done with the May interviews. And if we don't get any additional listing, we don't have much choice but to just let this thread die a natural death...
... but someone else can resuscitate it later
Don't worry, i'll be waiting for awhile. People at the NSO in Manila do nothing fast, they said they would send my fiancee's BC back to the LR for over 3 weeks now and they haven't. They keep saying "oh, we will send it tomorrow maybe" Very annoying for us cause we are just waiting on them so we can get a new interivew date. We've tried to explain that but they really don't care
We were hoping for August but i don't see that happening now
Hehe, always bad news!
i hate to say it windchaser but i think the only way to get this done is to pay them money it may be the only way to get it done. corruption is everywhere youve been doin it the proper way and its not goin anywhere i think offering them money is your only option to get them to do there jobs. sad to say it but it looks like otherwise your spinning your wheels
p.s. yove arrived last night
thank you to everyone for all there helpful info
-
Can't the number of posts at 666
lol ya that seems fitting that post that no#666 lol im always teasing yove that im a demonyo halimaw
shes currently in homg kong waiting to board her flight to america
-
Jasman, we're not getting any new members listed so it's hard to say. But looks like it's down to 4~5 months now.
you know its a real shame this site isnt better known the information we got here was invaluable. yove told several women where she got all her ideas and info from and all were amazed at the information this site provides.
just a thought maybe putting up this site on a bullentin board at st lukes might be a way to better educate all the unfortunate AR's. its real amazing what the people on this site have been able to do to help the community that comes here myself included.

A good excuse to get inside the embassy would be: you're going to the American Citizens Services to get a Certificate of Legal Capacity to Marry. You will need to bring your passport to show proof of US citizenship to the guards and they will let you in.
By the way, the Legal Capacity would come in handy in case you decide to abandon K1, marry your fiancee, and then file IR. Just a thought.
thats the best way to get in.
telling them someone threatend you would more likely be a mistake
and they would send you to the local police.
