Topic moved top LPR forum since Petitioner is a LPR.

I went ahead and moved to "Bringing Family Members of LPR to US".
@smelimick1 your brother would submit a I-130 and add the children as derivatives. He can't upgrade and become  US Citizen during the process otherwise he will have to submit I-130 for the children also.

It's going to take awhile. Expect 3 to 4 years at best.

Alright I will pass on the information to him. Thank you. What documents will he need for his children? Just the birth certificate? Or will they need other documents at the nvc stage?

  2. Hello everyone I have a question about submitting  the I-130 petition. My brother got married in Mexico and has two children with my sister in law. They currently reside in Mexico while he is here working. My brother is a US resident. He is currently vacationing in Mexico and will be coming back soon. He would like to know what documents he is going to need to begin the process. And also if he needs to fill out 1 or multiple I-130 forms.

    thank you

Unless the process has changed in the last two years, I'm pretty sure it's USCIS. If you want to see what it looks like, check out the 'Life as Mrs Presson' site: http://www.mrspresson.com/immigration/i-751-removing-of-conditions-roc-petition/i-751-removing-of-conditions-roc-process-walkthrough/

Awesome, thank you!! It was weird because yesterday I received a letter from NVC and it kind of looked like a welcome letter ... but the weird thing was that is was my address with someone else’s name and not my husbands... so I kind of thought for a second they had sent me someone else’s info instead of my husbands ... I thought it was a mistake lol. But anyways okay thank you for clarifying now I know I am waiting for a letter from USCIS.... does anyone know what I should do about the letter I received? Should I take it to the post office and tell them no one with that name lives at this address.... my parents have lived at this address almost 20 years now!! Or should I contact nvc? What should I do?

  4. Hello everyone, I am back again... ready to send in my husbands ROC. I-751

I have everything ready but the only thing from preventing me from sending in the form is this question ... my husband cannot read in English ... so for part 7 PETITIONERS STATEMENT , which box should he mark?

-i can read and understand English ...

-the interpreter in part 9 has also read to me every question...

-i have requested the services of and consented to ...

we do not have an interpreter as I know both Spanish and English and we are both filling out the forms together...

    thank you

  5. These are the documents my husband will be taking with him to his interview .... if anyone can add on anything please do tell, thanks

Should i tell my husband to take my joint sponsor's irs transcripts?

  6. Hi,

Yes they will ask for a police certificate. He has to get it at his local precidencia, depending en el municipio where he lives. I'm from el municipio de Zamora michoacan, all we had to do is go to the city of Zamora with a passport photo at the municipality precidencia.

For sure.... Thank you so much jrgequisetum! I will tell him to go as soon as possible thanks again !!

  7. I wrote my answers in caps// :)

what do you nee to do to expedite a case?

YOU NEED TO SEND NVC AN EMAIL STATING WHY you need your case expedited. There are several categories that an expedite can fall under.

    is there an extra fee?

THERE IS NO EXTRA FEE (that i am aware of)

how long have you been waiting since the whole process started. what type of visa request do you have?

MY FIRST noa1 was: 1/5/2015 and i am petitioning for my husband.

i know too many questions :)

lol its okay i have a ton of questions too.

my case closed august 17....still waiting...cd juarez embassy.

    thanks

  8. That's a good question - Do you receive an email from NVC telling you the case was sent?

Also - Isn't there a way you can track your package from NVC to the embassy via DHL?

Oh and what woud "READY" mean in CEAC?

Vajaster: i called nvc asking what was yhe status of my case and the rep told me my case was sent to the consulate just today. Do you know hkw to track file via dhl??

  9. Did they send your case yet to the embassy?

Not yet... I called thursday morning to ask when exactly will my case be sent to the embassy and the agent told me that before my case can be sent out they needed to review my ds-260. A few hours later my AOS changed from paid to N/A. However i checked on the ceac case tracker page and my case still says " at nvc". I plan on calling on Thursday that way they have two working days to send out my case. In the meantime i will continue checking my visa application tracker online

  10. My expedite request was granted on the basis of financial hardship/loss... My husband will be going to the consulate in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. I received the "expedite granted" email just this morning.... Is there anything i need to do from my part or just wait for another email? I already sent in all forms/ paid all fees to NVC.

    Thanks for everyones help :)
