I was touched yesterday too.....but the status has not changed for me....hoping and praying for it today

Oh just another day filled with frustration!!! I pity all of us who are still stuck in this IMBRA hell!! I feel like it will never ever end!

I'm calling on all forces of divine intervention to make this a good week for all of us. May lost petitions be found, approvals granted and screwed up cases be undone. Amen.

I was TOUCHED today Does this mean approval may be soon? The RFE update was just yesterday, I hope this means they are working on it...

Anybody want to speculate how long it will be before Rene and Mew our FIRST re-approval's get to their consulates abroad?

I think the day of us seeing our loved ones is coming very SOON!!!

It would be excellent news if they just sent the petitions straight to the consulates..but are we sure this will be faster? Think about it, what if they use diplomatic mail which they collect in batches and send together? Then again another few days here or there, what's the difference after 2 months of waiting?

What I really hope happens soon is that the approvals start pouring in this week, it certaintly has been long enough!

I used priority also, only paid $5, sent it on Saturday, and I just checked online with USPS.com and it says delivered today to St. Albans at 1pm ..woohooooo, however no update on the USCIS.gov page yet. Tomorrow? I hope

Isn't it the fact that our country has not treated us with respect through all this? I, for one, do not feel entitled to have our K1 in hand right now this minute (can we get beyond the simplistic stereotyping of Americans?). What I do feel is disappointment that the government did not notify any of us about this problem. Didn't we all have to do our own research to figure out why the heck our fiancé(e)s were receiving calls/letters/whatever from consulates canceling interviews? Aren't some of us still searching for our cases? Why? If I had received a call/letter/email from anyone saying "We are very sorry for this mishap. Unfortunately your.... We are working...." I would feel a lot better and maybe not be so neurotic.

What I do understand is I deserve respect. And that would be nice to have NOW.

I totally agree with you! It's really not too much to ask for some information, a warning or at least an explanation. We all new what happened before USCIS even admitted to the fact that petitions were recalled. It's understandable that immigration does not happen overnight especially lately with the government trying to put more an more restrictions on it!! For the love of god though, they could at least keep us informed which is the least that could have been done to show that we are indeed citizens of this country and have rights.

So yes, respect would be expected from one human to another!

After getting my RFE being sent on July 6th, I got touched today, saturday morning.

I think this is good news and they should be working on more recalled petitions!

As for my case, I hope they are clearing everything they need to, so when they receive my RFE they will just reapprove my application.

That thread about not sending it through NVC kind of cheered me up a little bit.

If that´s the case, not only it would (hopefully) save some time but it could mean they intend to process the recalled cases faster once receiving the RFE.

Expatrica - I am entirely empathetic. My fiance is also from the UK, and we our case has not been touched by USCIS since May 1st. And my Congresswoman and Senators are being extraordinarily unhelpful and particuarly bold given that i am a law-abiding, voting constituent.

We were told that our petition was mailed to Vermont from NVC on June 27th and still nothing. No one is helping, i am left with that sinking feeling of lost deposits and missing my fiance.

Is there anything else I could be doing? I'm phoning Vermont (1-800-375-5283) but I am routed to some one in the main USCIS office who reiterates the painful obvious fact that my "case has been approved on April 19th..."

I also just called Vermont, but no help. All she tells me is that their system does not reflect that my petition has been received back. Even though a man at Vermont told me that it was but if he lied NVC told me they sent it back to VSC on June 2. I am so sad about this whole situation. Considering that I was one of the first to be recalled and our interview was sceduled on May 15, I am furious that my case has not even made it "back" into the system yet!! For all she knows ( the VSC customer service) is that they do not have it back. So she tells me to wait

yup, way too long. have you tried a congressman? they can get on the phone to get answers - helped me find out my case really was back in vermont. you can also try the state dept, 202-663-1225, press 1, then 0 for visa specialist. they actually informed me my case was recalled due to imbra and when it was sent back from paris. AND she was very friendly and compassionate.

I did that back in June, it's absolutely disgusting how they are handling me. I finally got a copy of a letter from them last week that they sent to the embassy in ISRAEL!!!! (asking them whats the status with my petition)What the hell for ??? I don't know. It took them a month to do that, and what they are doing makes absolutely no sense!! I told them the petition was recalled why write to Israel? Why cant they just pick up the phone and call USCIS? I swear I found out more information on my own and through VJ than through them. Plus everytime I tried to call and follow up, the woman in charge at the district office who handles all immigration questions would never talk to me and just avoid me, they would always say the same thing, we will send you something in the mail...and they did, THE MORONS! too bad its nothing helpful to me! They make me so sick, really I dont even want to call them again, the treatment is awful. No one cares

Looks kinda like they're being reopened in NOA1 order (although this is a very small sample size, and I'm sure there are plenty of you out there who have, unfortunately, had no update at all...)

Yes, that would be me, NOA1 March 8th!!! I still have the original message online "Your case has been approved on ...blah blah"

I am very happy to hear some NOA2 people are receiving their RFE's finally! I just wish it was me already

Hi, how do u know that Vermont have received you petition? We don’t have any news about our petition since it was sent back on May 10.

I called Vermont a few times and finally a man was able to tell me that they received it on such and such a date.

I'm sure I am not the only lonely soul checking up on the processing times of the centers. However i do find it interesting that Vermont is still on March 6th. This gives me an idea that once they receive back the RFE's they may be keeping an order in accordance to priority dates. Of course when I spoke to someone from Vermont last ( a week ago or a little more) I was under the impression that they will process the cases in any order to just gain some speed at least and not build up the delay even more. The lady told me that this was the "logical" action, which really pushed my buttons at the time. I do not know if she meant working on the cases or just sending out the RFE's. Yet looking at VJ, I don't see that happening either. Seems like they are still waiting on something. I think we will for sure know after the individuals that already had NOA2's return their RFE's to the center and see OR NOT see some action on their cases.

I am just brain-storming here--please feel free to add anything

Yodrak, where is the USCIS announcement about sending the RFEs in batches? I feel like that´s what´s happening, but I´d like to read the announcement.

My case was reopened on June 23rd.

By the way, I think at this point all NOA1 people from Vermont got their RFEs sent out.

rlt, I feel your frustration, hang in there. I'll hang with you, I still have no touch or update about even having my case in Vermont or reopened.

I do agree it's about time they get to us. Look at the bright side, I really think July will put an end to all this RFE madness from hell. Just hold tight a little more, we'll get there.
