Did anyone have a hard time rescheduling an appointment in US Embassy in Manila? I tried calling and they said I can only schedule online on US Travel Docs website. I've been checking daily for more than 2 months now and I couldn't get a new appointment. My mother was supposed to have an interview on Nov 17 (we recieved the notice on october 20, she did medical on october 26) and then the medical results is released on dec 29 so she wasn't able to do the November 17 appointment. I am a bit frustrated now. I tried emailing and calling but they're not helpful at all.

My mom’s case got approved to get expedite last November and her case have been in US embassy manila and never heard from them since. I called once and they told me I can schedule online. I’ve been checking 3x a day and never seen any appointment dates available. Their automatic email response said their routine non urgent interview will resume on March.

    Hello fellow members,

NVC approved my petition June 29, 2020. After a month, I sent an email requesting to expedite. I was told to ask the US embassy in MNL. I sent an email to Manila and I was told that NVC needs to send the approved documents. Long story short, I got an email on Friday 8/21/2020 stating, "The U.S. Embassy has accepted this case for expedited processing. We will send this file immediately to the U.S. Embassy." Today 8/25/2020 I got an email from NVC, with the subject of Immigration appointment cancelled : We previously notified you of the date and time of your immigrant visa interview at the U.S.Embassy/Consulate General in MANILA, PHIL.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to cancel this interview. We will schedule a new interview appointment as soon as possible and notify you of the date and time. There is no need for you to take action at this time.

Does anyone experience this? I'm confused because I never get an interview email in the first place. I thought I have to call the embassy after 2weeks from the time NVC approved the expedite request to schedule an appointment. I sent another inquiry to NVC asking for clarification but they'll respond after couple of days. Also does anyone know the best number to call US Embassy in MNL?

    Thank you

Hello, did you get an interview date after this email? I received exactly the same email after approval of expedite request notifying about the cancellation. Hope they will schedule the interview soon.

I just told them that my kids went back to school in person making it difficult for me to work. That if my parents are here it would make it easier for us. I just attached pictures of my kids on their first day of school.

Is your mom’s case in MNL now or still at NVC?

Still at NVC. I kept inquiring about her case and kept getting same response being DQ and waiting for the embassy to schedule her.. Where did you send an email request to be expedite?

If you don’t mind sharing the reason for requesting to expedite your parents case.. I requested twice and was never granted. I filed April 2019 and been waiting since.. Waiting for my mom’s interview date as well in Manila Embassy.

Hi, request an expedited interview to NVCExpedite@state.gov. Once your case is accepted by the US embassy Manila. Send email to ACSInfoManila@state.gov to request an expedite interview appointment. In our Case, expedited on  9/30/2020. Advance Medical exam at SLEC on Oct.12&13. Interview appointment at USEM on 12/17/2020 and his under administrative review due to birth certificate being late registered.  On 1/5/2021, USEM recommended us to the DNA test.  And on 3/10 visa issued. Still waiting for the visa. Hoping will get it this week.  Goodluck to you and your kids.

Thank you for this info. I requested to expedite my mom’s case 3 weeks ago but I just sent it to the regular inquiry. I sent one again today using this info. Hoping to hear something soon. My mom’s case was approved April 2019 and still waiting till now!. I requested to expedite because I am having a baby on September and needed her assistance here. She was all done with her paperworks and her case just needed to be forwarded to US embassy Manila for interview and medical.

Hello guys, I just want to ask anyone here that had the same experience that I am experiencing now about my father's paperwork.. So DFA in the Philippines is not issuing him passport because his nationality is Mestizo in his Birth certificate.. His father is Chinese and his mom is Filipino. My father is born in the Philippines and had lived there all his life.. DFA said to get certificate of naturalization from Immigration.. Then Immigration said they don't issue the certificate to individuals who was born after 1972.. My father was born 1954.. They said to get a lawyer and bring it to the court.. I am so frustrated for all of this..His name in his birth certificate got fixed and took almost 2 years to get done. And now his nationality!!!  Anyone had the same experience???

IR5 visas are not being issued at this time .. presidential executive order .. so there will be no IR5 interviews until the order expires or is lifted. Until then, NVC will hold  the case once they have completed the document checks . Then they will begin  the long process of assigning interviews  as the consulates make them available. This will take time. If my recollection is correct , the EO is in place through the end of this year at least

So NVC accepted all the documents and sent me an email that they will work with the US embassy in Manila to schedule my mom's interview and it's been 3 weeks now. really hoping to pick her up on Christmas...

Ah nice. Thank you @hbbi I got another email this time saying the embassy approved the expedite request. I also got the response from the embassy that they haven't receive my case, yet CEAC shows case in MNL. I will send another follow up when my daughter completed her medical.

I remain positive that we will be together again before Thanksgiving.

Hi, my mom is on the same boat just waiting for her interview date. NVC said they will coordinate with US embassy in Manila but it's been 3 weeks and no updates yet.. I emailed them today and waiting for response.

@majune06 I also have my parent cases filed in May 2019. Approved on June 2020. Nebraska....of course. But until now, the NVC has still not received the cases. Do you know how to call and talk to real USCIS representatives? All options led to answering machine. I'd like to create a Service Request. Thanks.

I submitted my mom’s case April 2019 and got approved Oct 2019 till now NVC has not approved it. Waiting for her interview schedule so she can do her medical.
