Approved this morning:
VSC filer (Sept 9th 2017) transferred to Texas - EAC17343
Does anyone know from point of approval how long it takes to get the card? I fly to the UK in 5 days for 3 weeks. Will it be a problem if I cannot re-enter with the new card?

Got a second "your case was moved to another office" yesterday as well. I really hope they finish things up already.
Yeah me too!
Is anyone tracking the August 2017 filers - are they getting approvals yet??

@Jay&M Did you apply for your N-400 ? If so, this denotes them bundling your cases and scheduled a combined I-751/N-400 interview ? If not, it's a case transfer to another processing center (NSC.TSC) to process your case. It's a good sign, folks have gotten their approvals after transfer in less than a month,
Do we have any other CSC files who got a case transfer notice online ?
No I have not applied for n-400

Got this case update today - "Case Transferred And New Office Has Jurisdiction"
Anyone know what this means or got the same?

@Jay&M My wife is in a similar position with her 1 year extension letter set to expire in early December. Did you get any notification the 18 month extension letter was being produced or it just arrived unannounced? We are starting to get nervous due to early December not being far away...
We just received the letter unexpectedly in the mail, no notice or anything

Vermont filer here (transferred to local office - DC) ... 1 year extension letter due to expire 1st Dec 2018. Received 18 month extension letter 3 days ago
-
1 Day after managing to get an appointment at the DC office, I received the 18 month extension letter

UPDATE - The whole appointments open up at midnight thing is REAL!! Logged on and at the stroke of midnight 10 slots opened up. Good advice for anyone struggling to get an appointment

Hey Everyone. I need to make an infopass appointment to get an i-551 stamp. The Washington DC office has not had an available appointment for weeks. I just called USCIS and asked if I could make an appointment at another office ... they said No.
Has anyone else had any success with going to a different field office than their local one?
I need to travel in December
Thanks
Jason

I know some people were able to obtain the stamp but I was rejected. I don't want to discourage you from trying. Have you guys applied for citizenship yet?
Not Yet - I only just became eligible. Will be soon tho! You?

I was in a similar situation. We are in the DC metro area as well. I was staying up to check for appointments at midnight, as suggested above, with no luck. One morning I decided to check around 8 am and there were some slots available. I just came back from my appointment.
I asked if one could just walk-in if there were no appointments available. The officer said that if your extension is expiring within a month you can give it a shot, and they might squeeze you in. I suggest you check at different times of the day for an appointment, and if you want to try walking-in, arrive at 7 am.
BTW, I was under the impression that I would have to trade in my green card for the stamp, but I got the expired card back.
Good luck!
Thanks so much for your advice Really helpful

Did you check the infopass after midnight? I had to wait pass midnight to be able to book an infopass appointment. The last time I went there in May they refused to give the stamp and I was told to come back a month before my green card expires. I didn't receive the 18 month extension letter yet. Let's see.......
Thanks for your reply. That's good to know about the month before expiration rule. I have not checked after midnight, I have just been planning for when I do need an appointment. I still have not got my extension letter either

I received the same so hundreds of other people. It was a glitch, so dont worry🙂
Do you mind me asking - How do you know it was a glitch? Do you think that the cases were not transferred and are still at VSC?

Hello!
I filed an I-751 over a year ago without approval yet. I am looking to book an InfoPass appointment to get the extension stamp at my local office (Washington DC) however it is impossible to get an appointment there right now and I have been trying for a while.
My question is, do I need to go to my local office or can I go to another? There are always appointments at the Norfolk, VA office around 4 hours south of DC. Can I just go there?
Thanks in advance!

I applied for ROC on 09/9/2017 , I also applied online for N-400 on 08/20/2018 and I have my biometrics appointment on 09/13/2018. (I applied for naturalization with my I-751 that's still pending)
I hadn't had any updates from USCIS regarding my I-751 since 04/16/2018, to my surprise today I got a text message from USCIS , I checked my case status after that and I received this message.
* No RFE nor interview on my I-751, my field office is Vermont for my I-751 and Boston(Lawrence, MA) for my N-400.
I just want to say thank you to the Visajorney community.
Hi - May I ask whether or not your case was transferred to your local office? Or did it stay at Vermont SC the entire time?

Based on this - https://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/update-form-i-797-receipt-notices-form-i-751-and-form-i-829
Has anyone received the new extension letter yet?

Thanks both! Much appreciated

Hey!
Currently preparing to send the ROC packet ... do I need to provide 2 passport photos?? It's not on the checklist ... Obviously had to send them for K1 and AOS, wanted to see what others did?

Hey!
So I am in the process of compiling my evidence for my removal of conditions.
I plan on sending some evidence in the form of utility bills (credit card, gas, electric etc) ... how far back is it advisable to go? I was thinking the last 3-4 months worth of bills?
Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks

Thanks for your reply!
Do you know if the status on the USCIS website will change when it has been sent?
At first it said "new card in production" then changed to "approved"
Thanks

Hello!
My AOS was approved today (2nd December) and I know my green card will now be sent.
Does anyone know how long it takes for the Greencard to arrive?? I happen to be flying back to the UK for a month next week so would ideally want it before I leave
Thanks in advance for any any help

My wife and I flew to the Philippines this year in March and stayed almost a month (3.5 weeks). They let her back in to the USA on her AP no problem. She only had to go to secondary and answer a few questions upon arrival. I do suggest you bring the following with you though on your trip:
1. Your EAD/AP combo card (of course).
and
2. Your original marriage certificate.
Having both will clear up any conflicts when boarding your flight home, should there be any.
Thankyou for taking the time to reply! I appreciate it
:-)

You should be fine. I think the ones more often advised not to use it are ones who overstayed in the US for a long time and then married and filed for AOS. With that history, it is safer to wait on the green card before leaving the country. A month trip does not require any other paperwork.
Thanks for your reply! Greatly appreciated!
