I was touched after NOA2 also......However, they told me I was sent on to NVC on July 18 and I was not received at NVC until July 2. I think what they mean to say is "As of XX day, you are queued to be sent to NVC".
In this case I hope you're wrong Vis! LOL...The guy told me it had left the building so I wouldn't think they'd say that unless it was true? Ah who knows...if it left the building how can I get a touch right? But I've seen that on other people timelines, getting touched after being sent, so screw it, bottom line there is more waiting...
-
Touched today...I don't really get why since I was told it was sent to the NVC 2 days ago! Hmmm
-
So I'm trying to get ahead and have my fiance fill out the things necessary to send for Packet 3, and on the checklist I have one question (I know they are different depending on the country, but someone must know), do I put a check next to this one or not:
Beneficiaries of family-sponsored petitions must also include:
Proof of Relationship: Please provide all original documents used to establish the qualifying family relationship.
Is this considered a family-sponsored petition?? If it's not, there is no box to check for evidence to bring for proof of relationship even though it's something I know is needed...please let me know.
Thanks.

Called USCIS this morning to see if I could find anything else out...the guy told me the petition was sent out to the NVC yesterday, so I guess that's good news! Said it should get there in the next few days...yes! All you guys approved on the same day as me were probably in that same box...
-
Just got off the phone with NVC, and nope, they have no record of our case yet . On the plus side I was only on hold for like 5 minutes. On the down side the guy was extremely rude and kept asking me exactly what my NOA2 said, as if I was lying about getting approved or something... I'll try again Friday.
-
For you guys that have now been sent to NVC, did you get a touch on the USCIS website around when it was sent? I just wonder if I should wait until I see a new 'date updated' on the USCIS site before I call NVC, or if that date doesn't change.
Thanks.

Congrats Daniel! I hope mine will be on it's way to Bangkok this week!
-
Not sure if the touches are a record, but I'm sure you now probably have a record for most new threads on VJ! LOL, everyday I see like 3 new threads from you!
All joking aside, I'm sure your case is probably already approved and on it's way somewhere (NVC or maybe even the embassy!). Just sucks that for some people, such as yourself, CSC seems to have no idea what is going on. Just hang in there, I'm sure it will all work out for you.
-
No problem Scott, I'll definitely post on here after my call to let ya know what happens...
-
Congrats guys! I'm gonna wait till Monday to do my first call to NVC, which will be the 2 week mark...I'm getting nervous as the interview is inevitably coming, and I'm not even the beneficiary! Whew...calm...
-
Well guys it's officially July now, so here's to hoping that we all get assigned interview dates by the end of the month!
-
Vis,
Look at the average times on kengumbo's website to get from CSC to NVC...I know it sucks to wait but I would say the average is at LEAST 2 weeks...you aren't there yet, so breeeeaaattttthhhhhhh.

Case Status Information for Receipt Number: WACxxxxxxxxxx.
That's the subject line.

Already thought of another question for you Mark...on the US embassy Thailand website I found that it says official documents (birth certificate, police certificate, etc.) can be in English OR Thai. So does this mean my fiance doesn't need to get those translated at all for when she brings them to the embassy for the interview?
-
Jeez, that's a lot of touches...I would definitely call again and politely mention the date has been update 4 times now in the last week and you just want to know what's going on!
-
Alright, got my approval email today!! Woooohooooo!
-
Mark, you are a life saver, I'm printing your above post, the info you listed is exactly what I wanted to know! I finally checked out the US embassy website for Thailand too, and you're right there is a lot of good info on there.
Anyway, I'll be sure to post on here again if I have anymore questions along the way, thanks again.
-
kits...when you called, what did they say the touches were from?
-
LOL vis....I'd just like to know how you even go about meeting someone from Kazahkstan, you probably have an interesting story Elmira. That's one of those far flung countries that no one visits...although personally I'd love to take a trip around the 'Stans' someday just cause there would be practically no other tourists to fight off...
-
Ok, so just to be completely clear, this is exactly what you sent:
1) Signed checklist
2) Form DS-230
3) 2 passport photos (of only the beneficiary or petitioner too?)
4) Copy of BOTH yours and beneficiaries passport photo page.
And this is what contituted packet 3? Everything is just filled out and brought to the interview?
-
Hi guys,
I'm sure the answer to my question is somewhere in here, but I couldn't be bothered to go through 133 pages posts. I noticed a lot of you on your timeline sent in packet 3 before the embassy even got a chance to send packet 3 to your fiance. Can someone let me know the exact list of things that need to be sent? I'd definitely like to try to do the same and send everything to them before they even send the packet so we can get the earliest interview date possible.
Thanks.

I don't get why they can't be more consistent. I was approved same day as you Scott, yet no email from them, still says case pending on the webiste too. Oh well, as long as that lady I talked at CSC was right and I was approved I don't care I guess.

Here's to hoping mine was the last file they needed to fill that box to the top...
WE FINALLY GOT OUR INTERVIEW DATE!!!!!!!!
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports

First of all, congratulations! Secondly, I see you called the DOS to get an interview date, is this something that can only be done with applications from the Phillipines or from other countries as well? I thought you had to send in a few things to the embassy before they would give you an interview date...
