Ladywhite...you should have your fiance call the DOS and see if a date has been issued, I called them today and they said our interview date was just reserved today and the appointment letter was sent today as well...here's to hoping you've got the same date or earlier!

Also I wanted to share the good news that we finally got an interview date! August 30th...but at the same time I'm kinda freakin out now cause I wasn't expecting it to be until at least the 2nd week of September...so much to do in so little time now...it's only 3 weeks away! Well my fiance is asleep now but when I wake her up in t he morning she better be ready to get to work...lol...

I actually didn't even give my fiance any tax returns. It specifically says they are only needed if you are self employed, which I am not. I know I've seen where the interviewer has asked for them, but that just seems so strange to me when it doesn't even ask for them on the form!

All I provided was a letter from my employer, past 3 pay check stubs, letter from the bank, and last 6 months of bank statements, I think these will be fine. For me anyway, my last 3 years tax returns would look terrible since I was mostly travelling the world and working odd jobs here and there.

Thanks for the advice Kang Lang! I already check the website everyday! But because the embassy also called to confirm her address to send her pkt 3 and then she got it 2 days later, I'm hoping this could be the same...we'll see...

The embassy called my fiance to confirm her address of where to send the interview appointment letter, but I don't think they had generated an actual date yet cause she asked and the lady didn't know it.

But at least I know they got our pkt 3 and a date is on the way!

Yeah, it's at the police department ready for pickup, she's just on holiday in koh samui right now so she's gonna pick it up when she gets back to BKK. As for the medical, we're also waiting to get the interview date scheduled first, and then she'll schedule it.

Haha, I've been looking at the interview schedule everyday now for it to be updated, even though I know it won't be till next week, and depending on how fast they process the Pkt 3's they receive, we might not be on there till the following week...we'll see:)

Well ladywhite, you and my girl sent your packet 3's back to the embassy on the same day...that would be funny if you and her get interviews on the same day! Let's see what happens...

Then in 'visa type' put K-1. Up to you if you want to do by any of the other parameters such as service center.

Then just put dates in the search areas that you want to search...all you need to fill in are the 'date I-129F sent' and 'date NOA2 received' areas since you just want to know who has gotten their NOA2's from sending in their packets at specific dates.

Kits...I'm sure not knowing if you are approved yet is driving you crazy! But instead of asking hundreds of people to post in these new threads you've made, why not just go to a timeline search and find out in one second the answer to your question? Anyone who would post on these threads has also most likely filled in their timelines, so your answer from a timeline search should be pretty accurate.

I still think you've already been approved, with all those touches it's impossible that nothing has been done on your case. I wish you a speedy approval my friend!

As far as I know, (and th example forms on this website will concur), since you are applying for a K-1 visa, there is no where on this form that you have to put your fiance's occupation. It asks for your SPOUSE'S occupation, but since your American petitioner is not your spouse yet, that whole section will just have 'N/A'. I just filled out the DS230 as well and this is what we put.

Don't feel so bad Elmira, my fiance and I are in the same boat. The paperwork is killing us! I'm trying to do as much of it for her as possible, since obviously Engligh is not her native language, but there is still a lot she has to do to and it just gets frustrating sometimes! Since we probably won't have our interview till Sept., I just try to do one or two forms with her a week...course with your interview coming up so fast you just have to get it done NOW! Just think though, after this paperwork, the only paperwork that has to be done is when you are sitting side by side and doing it together...

Did you email your embassy yet vis? You're definitely overdue to have your packet 3 by now, or to confirm that they've at least received it and will be sending it soon...

I noticed the DS-230 we have says it expires on July 31, does anyone know if we send it to the embassy on August 1, will they not take it because it is technically expired? Do we have to wait for the new version if we can't send it until then?

haha...actually I can read and write thai pretty good...but i'm a little rusty right now since i've been back for 6 months and not practicing! I got an email from the embassy that they actually received the petition on July 16 and sent out packet 3 on July 25, so I guess it won't be so bad if my girls waits until she receives it to send it back in, should be today or tomorrow hopefully.

Ladywhite...FYI, I was just looking at the Bangkok embassy website for their official holidays...they are working this coming Monday and Tuesday, although I know the Thai Post isn't...

Now THAT is something I didn't know about, thanks for that link. One more thing ladywhite...I clicked on that link and there are many threads all in thai, can you give me a link to one of those threads that specifially talks about sending in packet 3?

I really really want an interview date and it looks like I'll have to wait though cause my girl is being really rigid on not sending anything to the embassy until she receives packet 3. I told her about this site and all the people that do it, and she says you are all liars! lol...I've seen it take up to 2 weeks for packet 3 to actually get to the beneficiary, if I have to wait at least 2 more weeks for an interview date I'm gonna go crazy! Ah well, I'll have to keep chipping away and convince her to send it.

Yes! I just got off the phone with my girl, the embassy called her today to confirm her address and will be sending packet 3! On the downside I told her to send packet 3 to the embassy tomorrow, but now she doesn't want to because the lady she spoke to told her not too:(...oh well I'll just have to convince her otherwise

i emailed the US embassy again and got a reply in less than 24 hours: they have my case already and will send me the packet 3 in "a near future."

i'm sure yours has arrived at the embassy too. email them again fast !
