I know it is... but, I guess things have changed you know since they now require four photos ect. whomever he spoke with in December told him that at knightsbridge. the Ghana certificate is a card . I dunno.. hope all is well for his medical
-
okie dokie! thanks.
-
oh ok. My fiancé was told he could not do his medical unless they had all police certificates from every country he has lived in so, I told him to bring his UK and Ghana one but ensure they give them back to him and to NOT leave that building without them as someone I know they forgot to give her fiancé's certificate back to him then subsequently it was lost by Knightsbridge... smh!

I know... sigh! I am so excited for you guys! You are almost there! When are you guys planning on getting married?

got ya. nick-nick- need advice. see my topic I just posted about taxes

Hey guys,
since initially filing for this whole K1 process April 2014 I have since taken on a as needed nursing job in addition to my full-time job. I do the as needed twice montly and have received my w-2 for 2014 from both my FT and as needed job. I have already sent my fiancé my docs from 2013 and affidavit of support but, obviously my income is more now. Should I go ahead and send him the w-2's for 2014 because I am certain I won't have the actual tax return by the time he interviews but at least I have the w-2's and, should I send him an updated affidavit of support? Reason why I ask is because the values won't match from the originally filed petition they will have infront of them because I obviously took on the as needed job several months after initially filing. Advice? Should I keep things as they are or, update everything? Also, I have gotten my annual review, a raise ect so my employer letter would not be valid either, would not reflect the current earnings. sigh...

at you medical shana.mike did the doctor not have to see both police certificates with his/her own eyes?
-
Nick-Nick that is what I was wondering that would be rather odd for them to deny a person when our consulate requires us to take the reports to our medicals now therefore the doctor would need to open them and 'see' that there is no drug history correct? I think what was stated above was invalid and perhaps only pertinent to other consulates
-
so wonderful Julie congrats!!!! @ Juie quick question for you. So, my fiancé will have his medical on Wednesday then we will schedule his interview but, someone mentioned whos consulate is Japan that they opened their police certificate to see had it been translated and it had not. long story short, if you open your police certificate is it invalid? Reason I ask because fiancé's certificate he told me for London it said "no trace" so, in order for him to have known that he would have to have opened it. Does that mean it is now invald. Lord I hope he didn't open the one from Ghana!!! WE DO NOT NEED ANOTHER WAIT!!
I guess it being invalid that does not make sense to me because at the medical the doctor will need to check both supports anyhow.. correct? help me out on this

my fiancé's medical is on the 28th as well!
-
I find this interesting that a copy of the approved petition was in the packet london sent but my fiancé said there was not a copy in his packet...
-
LOL. I already forwarned my fiancé he will get looked at down there lol...
-
I think that will be just fine.
-
why are you dreading it?
-
fiancé's medical is the 28th of the month. will knightsbridge send him anything prior to his medical?
-
thanks Yuna628! I will be adding him on to my coverage with the hospital and we carry BCBS. I hope it is not a hassel. I will make sure I look up BCBS as well in the case I have to school some about healthcare coverage and immigration lol
thanks so much for this clarification
-
ok that sounds great!
-
so are you saying his ss card even after he gets his work permit will not be valid for work he has to wait for his actual greencard?
-
oh ok! I hope it all gets resolved soon!
-
yes! I am still feeling that stress again as I am thinking about the AOS process. I am very organized and think ahead..I told my fiancé I have already started reading up on the AOS process lol insurance, SS, ect
-
oh wow that is awesome. I guess about one month prior to our wedding I will request the paperwork as well. there is so much that needs to be done after the marriage it is such a blur...
when did you go to apply for your SS, was it directly after the wedding or some days? This is a stupid question, so, although we are getting married in Florida but will live in North Carolina, we can still apply for SS in North Carolina right?
-
I was told to bring our marriage license to my HR and they should add him
-
ok. I know it a hassle sometimes...and trust me, these lazy people don't want to educate themselves about their own country and rules! I think workplaces should educate their people about immigration and things to expect.
-
so my question is, you have to have a green card to get insurance coverage? reason I am asking is I thought for per se in my case K1 beneficiary must have coverage immediately or Petitioner(me) can be fined? If that is the case, as slow as Tx service center is where his paperwork will go he will be without coverage for a year! Can this be true?
