How long takes after your inteview that you got that approved letter? I want to change my name. My interview was at end of nov2018 I didn’t recive any letter and my online status even not show that I went to interview😢
For the i751 about 2-3 weeks after the interview (the online status never updated)
for the N-400 the status changed 8days after the interview (you attended your interview & we approved, etc.)

February 7, 2019
We approved your application
Your final step to becoming a citizen is to attend your naturalization ceremony
We will mail you a letter when we schedule your naturalization ceremony.
Estimated wait time:
We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time.
same here, waiting in the oath ceremony with name chance. About 2 months ago, I received a letter saying that my I751 was approved. It never uodated online and I never deceived the 19year GC.

Anyone has any movement?
The biweekly email update had stopped for me, last time was approval of my N400 (mid Dec) and I thought I would get an update even though it would say that there's no movement yet lol.
I also have a friend who submitted I751 and it's been a month since she sent the docs and check and she hasn't received an Noa 😕
I didn’t get any emails but N400 in line for oath (the status just changed) and my pending I751 was approved but the status never changed online (I just received a letter last week)

Oh really? Mine says the same thing feb 2020 estimated completion.
On dec 21 i received a letter saying that they are done with the preliminary review of my application and that it was transferred to National benefits center. I am CSC filers. I dont know what NBC do. I’m really hoping to get my I751 and N400 be approved before my 18months extension letter expires.
I’m a CSC filer too and had a may 2020 estimated date for the N-400. Well, I hope it won’t take that long to schedule me for the oath. I’m pretty sure you’ll have it before then. I wish you a lot of luck!!

It may depend on the city and state you live in for the N-400. I’m in TN. My I751 case was transferred to the local office in 2/2018, then again in 1/2019 (3 days after I had my N400 interview). I hope you get through it quickly. For me, they combined the I751 and N400 during the interview.

Congrats to you!
i applied N400 in august of 2018 but still pending. I did biometrics in sept 2018 and i haven’t heard anything since then.
i’m hoping to hear good news regarding both my I751 and N400 soon.
Congrats again!
Thank you.. I hope my status will finally change online.
I wish you a lot of luck and a speedy process. The timeframe for the N400 depends on where you live, but it’s definitely faster than it appears on the website (when I submitted it, I had a timeframe of 20months - may 2020).

I hope to get some help here.. I applied for ROC 9/2017 (pending) and N-400 9/2018 (interview 1/7/2019, submitted for approval by the agent). Since my N-400 interview, only the status of my I751 changed to “Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction”. No update on my N400. Is this normal a week after the N400 interview?
about the combo pending I751 and N400 application, the agent told me that she reviewed my case (she had everything since the K1 visa) and it was good enough proof to not need my husband to be there. If my file was smaller or not as strong, he’d have needed to come to my N400 interview (it was early and he was in bed). The agent also explained me that due to the double application, if i’m approved (which i was), my I751 will be approved but I won’t get a 10year GC because my N400 would also be approved and I’d be scheduled for naturalization (and there’s pretty much no need for the 10year GC). During the N400, the agent will have every single document you ever sent, make sure to send enough and if you want, you can ask your US spouze to come with you). I hope this helps someone..

Did anyone else have this notification after a successful N-400 interview? I know I was told to wait a few days, but I saw this yesterday and now it refreshed it again today with today’s date.
I’ve been a little worried. I want to know the day of the oath ceremony to plan some travelling and reuest time off at work...
Thank you!

Congratulations @hir0, I had my interview last friday and was recommended for approval, the office told me it could take 15 to 60 days for Oath but they are ramping pretty quickly so I'm hoping soon. Does your status shows in line for Oath? or do you already have it scheduled?
No, my status online hasn’t changed yet. The officer explained me that while my files have been transferred to them it hadn’t completly been transferred (the agent told me what, but I’m not sure I heard correctly). It didn’t let the agent send the approval request right away, but instead it’ll take a few days. The oat letter should cone 2 weeks before the ceremony. The date is not set for Memphis yet. But it should be mid- of the month

Successful interview in Memphis and my case was recommended for approval. The officer I met, who was very nice, had all the documentation I submitted to USCIS (visa, AOS, etc.). Oath ceremony should be next month good luck everyone!!!

So, this happened while on the phone with my husband..
I am scared to get excited and it end up being a glitch. The USCIS website didn’t update yet and my I-751 sent in 9/2017 is still pending. I was really losing hope and I hope that the interview will be very soon.
The timeframe for the N400 was estimated at 20months (17 now, April 2020)

Lol. Before I submitted my application I saw lot of people with such estimated wait times so I was sort of expecting this. However I think it is much faster than what the online system is saying. I think they would rather throw a longer wait time at you and get it done early than say they will get it done early and make us wait 6 months more.
I have no idea what this is though. Odes it mean I won't be getting my Biometrics done until 29 days is passed?
I hope it'll be faster! lol Because we're looking at a long time.. I hope that our I751 will be approved soon.. that will make the wait so much easier! I will gather my documents to get my drivers license renewed next month, ugh...
I saw you received your biometrics letter. Good luck! May patience be with you

Status updated about 1h after my biometrics

I received the notice that I’d get the 18month extension letter a little kver 2 weeks ago but no extension letter.. who should I reach out to?

I applied for ROC on 09/9/2017 , I also applied online for N-400 on 08/20/2018 and I have my biometrics appointment on 09/13/2018. (I applied for naturalization with my I-751 that's still pending)
I hadn't had any updates from USCIS regarding my I-751 since 04/16/2018, to my surprise today I got a text message from USCIS , I checked my case status after that and I received this message.
* No RFE nor interview on my I-751, my field office is Vermont for my I-751 and Boston(Lawrence, MA) for my N-400.
I just want to say thank you to the Visajorney community.
Congratulations!!!!!!!

just finished my application today. Also an early applier and also waiting for my conditions to be removed. I applied to the Orlando office, processing time 12 to 16 months for N400.... oh well, the sweet wait begins.
I applied 9/1 as well, but mine said May 2020 (14-19.5 months). I had to take a screenshot because I was shocked to learn that it would take so long (i751 pending for close to a year)

I sent in my application for naturalization today (online) with a request to change my name. I've been a GC holder since 11/2015, am in the "early filing" period, and have a pending I751 (petition to remove conditions on residence - submitted 12 months ago, timeframe: up to 36 months).
I hope this journey will be smoother for all of us...

I can't say exactly why that is happening, but have you tried with different web browsers? I did it with Chrome and had 0 problems, maybe Safari doesn't work perfectly with the USCIS website, give it a try and maybe you can attach the documents you need. I would recommend to wait until you can upload the evidence before sending the form, that will help you with the process.
On 8/28/2018 at 10:08 AM, PoohBear72 said:If you are scanning these documents in aim for a lower quality scan or reduce the resolution of the scan a little (ie use 100dpi instead of 300dpi). I had issues with a large document I scanned it was 5.9MB on my USB drive but it wouldn't upload, I reduced the quality and it turned into ~5.4mb and it uploaded fine. As long as they can read the document easily the quality can be lower. I hope this helps.
On 8/28/2018 at 11:22 AM, TNL2018 said:I would suggest Chrome just like everyone else, I had no problem at all when I applied. I also would suggest for you to wait until you can upload all your evidence before you submit your application. Alternatively, you can upload more documents after you submit your application but it says something like they may or may not look at it (see screenshot below)
THANK YOU so much for your help!! This week was crazy for me and I didn't get to do it. But I'm going to finalize it and send it in! I'll still follow this thread, but I may need to find the September filers ^^

Hello,
I'm trying to submit my application online, but I keep getting errors when trying to attach documents under the evidence tab. I verified the format, size, and tried several ways (even through my cell phone, converting files, download them from websites, e.g. insurance). Can this be submitted without evidence? If not, what would you advise?
Thanks!

No update on my end, I did receive the notice for the additional 18months..
I travelled to Canada with my expired GC, a copy of the extension letter (exp. 11/2018) and stamp (exp. 8/2019). I had a bad experience going through customs (several checks). One of the agents incinuated that it could be fake and walked me to a backroom in front of my work collegue. I was very embarassed. My information was verified and I was good to go. The agent who verified my information did say that there is a lot of fraud with these. I don’t want to go through this anymore and have started my N400 application.

May I ask why did you get a stamp if your extension letter isn’t expiring until November?
Mines the same and I am travelling next month with just the letter. I thought you can’t get a stamp until 30 days prior to expiration?
They didn't really ask me why, but there are a few reasons. To name a few, I'm traveling outside of the US this month and don't have the original extension letter (I've been using the copy). I feel better having done it and I hope that I'll have the new card or completed the N400 before the end of July 2019
-
Scheduled an info pass to get my passport stamped since I'm traveling out of the country this month. The agent gave me my GC back and told me that the stamp works instead of my expired GC.
According to the agent, they're currently filing documents from NOVEMBER 2016. I'll be applying for N400 next month...
I751 filed 9/2017 -- GC expired 11/2017 -- Ext.letter good 'til 11/2018 -- Stamp good 'til 8/2019

Did anyone send in their N400?
I'm wondering if I should apply already (window opened this month if I don't mistake - received my conditional card in 11/2015). What are the pros/cons?
Thanks!

Hello! It’s been quite some time..
since my interview in January, I’ve been waiting for the ceremony (judiciary with name change in Memphis, TN). No update at all.. I scheduled my infopass for in a few days (when I’ll be at day 121 since the interview). I want to travel, but am scared to do it until it’s done. The last time i travelled, I had a bad experience at the customs.
Good luck everyone, I see that we already have a lot of new citizens. Congratulations!!
