Its not really on DMV. The sentence I copied is from DMV, but doesnt really explain the case. And if you ask somebody in the office, they actually dont know anything, except for whats written on their website. Well I'm doubtful everybody applied in their first week for a drivers license. So how do other handle that? Or have they ever experience a situation where they were stopped and held illegal with their home country's DL?

You can be an illegal in the US and still a resident in California, DMV is State, Immigration is Federal.

I'm not denying you werent right, but somehow I feel like your answers are not really helping. I do not wanna start a discussion about Californian residency, fact is I had no chance of applying for a drivers license before. I have a home country's license which had been valid every time I was here, my question is rather is it all the sudden illegal for me to drive, whereas like "a month" earlier it wasnt a problem at all??? lol

I seem to remember California gives you 10 days.

I mean, that doesnt really account for me...We just moved to California, and I had to wait for my employment authorization, because my I-94 has expired a while ago. I'm not sure why I would be considered a resident of California, while I'm not even a permanent resident of the US, however, neither am I of my home country. I believe. I was wondering what happens if police stops me? Does anybody know who I could ask to reassure?

I believe I'm not the only one without state's drivers license, if just recently entered US and started application for AOS. Or do I miss here sth?

I have a concern about my situation at the moment. So, I've been driving with my home country's drivers license in the U.S., and I have applied for AOS. However, I'm in the process of getting my california drivers license, and noticed it said, they recognize a valid driver license that is issued by a foreign jurisdiction (country, state, territory) of which the license holder is a resident. So, what am I now, I'm not really a resident in my home country right now, but neither a permanent resident in California??!! Does it mean, I'm actually not supposed to drive anymore? Even though, it would be just legal if I was here on a semester abroad, or as a tourist?

I really appreciate other's opinions!!!

Bei AOS von K1 schickt man das DS-3025 als Kopie ein - USCIS hat es sowieso im braunen Umschlag beim POE erhalten - und solange das DS-3025 komplett ausgefüllt ist, die relevanten Impfungen abgehakt sind und die Box "blanket waiver" angekreuzt ist - braucht man kein I-693. Das Medical darf nicht älter als ein Jahr sein, aber das dürfte ja bei K1 eh selten der Fall sein.

Wieso sollte gegen einen Virus geimpft werden, bereits veraltet ist, und was hat eine saisonale Grippe mit Immigration zu tun?? Es macht nunmal nicht immer alles Sinn. Es gibt hier einfach verschiedene Erfahrungswerte. Einige hatten keine Probleme, einige hatten. Letztlich liegt es bei dir. Ich bin auf Nummer sicher gegangen. Meinte ja nur wenn du weisst, dass dein AOS und Hochzeit in die Grippe Saison faellt, dann wuerde ich es halt machen, sicher ist sicher, und bisher bin ich damit ganz gut gefahren. Mal sehen was andere sagen, oder poste deine Frage ins AOS Forum.

Woher weisst du eigtl schon wann dein Medical ist, wenn du noch kein NOA2 hast? Warte ab wenn du deine Einladung zum Interview hast, dann weisst du wann dein Medical ist, und eventuell hat sich die Frage dann eh eruebrigt.

Nein, war nicht nur Tdap. Tdap war nur das, was fürs Visum relevant ist.

Und wenn das vaccination supplement Dingens DS305 (oder so ähnlich), komplett aus dem Medical mitkommt, wieso soll man dann beim AOS Probleme haben?

Nehmen wir an, jemand macht Medical im July - keine flu shot season, es ist nicht an Grippeimpfstoff ranzukommen. Dann kriegt jemand im August sein Visum und geht im Oktober in die USA, heiratet und filed Anfang November AOS. Und nun? Medical ist noch valid, das vaccination supplement auch - wie soll der/die Person dann einen Flushot nachweisen? Nur deswegen ein neues Medical machen?

Und PS: Ja, man kann sehr wohl überimpfen...es gibt eine ganze Latte Kontraindikationen.

Mit der Impfgeschichte, da bin ich einfach anderer Meinung, so auch Aerzte. Ich komm aus einer Arztfamilie, und bei mir wuerde keiner sagen man kann sich ueberimpfen, solange man sich nicht dreimal im Jahr, gegen das selbe impfen laesst. Der Zweck waere halt in Frage zu stellen. Ich hatte letztes Jahr z.B. ne Tetanus bekommen, weil mich ein Hund gebissen hatte. Nun hatte ich nochmal Tetanus Diphterie bekommen, um Diphterie abzudecken. Na und? Passiert auch nichts. MMR ist ungefaehrlich, da kann man nach 10 Jahren schon mal ne Impfung machen lassen. Aber das kannst du selber entscheiden. Du frags nach Ratschlaegen, und das ist lediglich mein ehrlicher Ratschlag.

Ja in deinem Falle muesste die Impfung hier nachgeholt werden, und dann beginnt der Spass. Theoretisch wuerdest du kein neues Medical brauchen, lediglich das Vaccination Sheet ergaenzt (Form I-693), und ne Unterschrift eines General Physicians von der USCIS Website. Wie auch immer, das Problem ist, viele Aerzte kennen nicht die genauen Regeln und Richtlinien, und es hat mich viel Frust gekostet, einen Arzt zu finden der lediglich die Impfungen uebertraegt und unterschreibt. Viele wollten nicht unterschreiben, ohne ein neues Medical zu machen. Problem hier der Kostenpunkt. Neues Medical ca 360 USD, uebertragen ca. 30-80 USD. Es steht zwar alles auf der Form drauf, dass lediglich eine Umschreibung erfolgen muss, aber man kann die Aerzte ja schlecht zwingen das so zu machen. Wie gesagt, Theorie und Praxis sind nicht immer identisch. ich hatte letztlich Glueck und habe den Spass fuer rund 50 USD bekommen inklusive Flu Shot, aber es gibt viele andere Mitglieder hier, die nicht so viel Glueck hatten (siehe AOS Forum).

Öhm, ich habe ja insgesamt 3 Masernimpfungen (das ist eine mehr als man braucht), 1 Rötelnimpfung und dazu hab ich Windpocken, Röteln und Mumps als Kind gehabt.

Nach RKI Empfehlung bin ich also 100% durchgeimpft. Logischerweise sagt der Hausarzt dann ich brauche keine MMR Impfung. Natürlich kann man sich 3 Dutzend mal impfen lassen, MMR sind aber - außer man ist Impfversager - nicht nötig um Immunität lebenslang (bzw. um ehrlich zu seing gibt es bisher erst seit 40 Jahren Daten zur Masernimpfung) zu behalten.

Die Frage war nach der Impfstopf-Kombi MMR für Visa-zwecke- die gab es als ich Kleinkind war nicht (Zulassung in D erst in den 90ern), genausowenig wie Windpocken (seit 2004 in D zugelassen) und Mumpsimpfungen, also wurde separat gegen Masern geimpft und dann im Schulalter mit MMR aufgefrischt.

Im übrigen habe ich heute beim Vertragsarzt in Frankfurt angerufen, mit meinem aktuellen Impfstatus und Historie der Windpocken bin ich durchegeimpft fürs Visum und brauche nix zusätzliches.

PS: Ich mache meine Medical vor 1. Oktober, damit fällt die Grippeimpfung aus - Impfpflicht besteht zwischen 01.10. und 31.3. - außerhalb dieser Zeiträume ist auch gar kein Impfstoff verfügbar,

Achja, der Zeitpunkt des Medicals ist bei Grippe entscheidend, nicht der Zeitpunkt wann AOS gefiled wird. Die Termine für AOS sind nach nicht zwangsläufig vorhersehbar.

Übrigens geht es mir nach meinem Impfmarathon gestern heute richtig schön beschissen....

Ich weiss dass das rein theoretisch ausreicht, war nur ne Empfehlung (aus eigener Erfahrung), um sicher zu gehen, da nur weil es in Dtl so gesagt wurde nicht heisst dass es hier genauso gesehen wird. Was fuer ein Impfmarathon? lol hattest du nicht ur Tdap bekommen? WIe auch immer, man kann nicht zu viel impfen. Hast ja noch Zeit bis du dein NOA2 bekommst. Wie auch immer ganz wichtig!! in einem Punkt liegst du falsch. AOS ist ein neuer Prozess, hier ist es entscheidend wann der gefiled wird. Wenn der zwischen Oktober und Maerz gefiled wird, dann musst du nachimpfen, glaub mir ich hatte das erst hinter mir. Der Tag des Medicals in Dtl ist nur entscheidend auf die Frage, ob du ein komplett neues Medical brauchst oder nicht. Also falls du erst im Oktober losfliegst, lass dir das unbedingt noch hier verpassen, sonst hast du mega Rennereien hier drueben, und evtl imense Kosten auf dich zukommen. Ein gut gemeinter Tip.

PS: Habe auch zwei Masern und eine MMR mit 12 oder so, und habe mir trotzdem noch mal eine verpassen lassen. Es kommt halt immer drauf an, wer deine File bearbeitet, wie halt bei den ganzen Zeugs. Sicher ist sicher, und die Impfung ist in Dtl ja kostenlos, von daher, passieren tut ja nichts, und deswegen nur der Rat, nicht der Zwang.

Also, ich hab gerade mein Interview in Montreal hinter mir (lebe seit über 5 Jahren in Kanada). Habe davor für den Arzttermin alle Impfungen nachgucken wollen. Den Impfausweis mit allem von der Bundeswehrzeit hatte ich nicht mehr, aber noch meinen altern DDR-Pass mit allen Impfungen und Arztbesuchen. Habe also alles beim sogenannten Healthcare Center eintragen lassen.

Die Dame und ich haben bestimmt, dass ich noch eine Tdap-Auffrischung bekomme, obwohl ich das wahrscheinlich vor 9 Jahren schon hatte, aber halt nicht dokumentiert. Und nach 10 Jahren wäre es eher fällig gewesen. MMR gab es damals nur eine Impfung, also hat sie die zweite auch empfohlen, und nachher erwähnt, wie auch diese Impfung gratis is, da ich ja "verreise" (Ich hatte bei der Eingabe der Daten im System erwähnt, dass meine Verlobte und ich nächstes Jahr in die Türkei eingeladen sind.). Dann gab es noch eine TB-Impfung, um auf Nummer sicher zu gehen.

Ich muss da zustimmen, dass ich an Deiner Stelle den Arzt wechseln würde. Denn hier schlagen sie sogar eine Zweitimpfung als Erwachsener vor, da es ja in den letzten Jahren in der Gegend um Toronto herum einige Röteln-Fälle gab.

Ne gute Zusammenfassung hatte mein Arzt in Kanada auf seiner Webseite. In einem Alter von 18-64 Jahren (Will Dir da nicht zu nahe treten, aber das sieht mir danach aus. ) sollte man Td/TdAP, MMR und Varicella (Windpocken) haben. Grippeimpfung nur zwischen Oktober und März.

Hehe, hatte auch nur noch den guten roten von der DDR Wie gesagt mit der Grippe ist halt doof, weil es kommt drauf an wenn AOS gefiled wird. Mein nur, falls Sie noch bis Oktober warten muss, auf jeden Fall mitnehmen um zukunftige Probleme zu vermeiden. Ist uebrigens die einzige Impfung die ich wirklich fuer Schwachsinnig halte

Am besten bei dem Arzt zu dem du gehen wirst (dem embassy approved one) anrufen und nachfragen. Die können dir am besten sagen, welchen Nachweis sie wovon wollen und was sie anerkennen!

ich war heute beim Arzt um meinen Impfstatus auf den neuesten Stand zu bringen. Hab mir eine Tdap Auffrischung geben lassen - damit ist der Punkt abgehakt. Windpocken hatte ich als Kind, da gibt es im Impfpass auch einen Vermerk. Also ebenfalls im grünen Bereich.

Wo ich mir unsicher bin ist die Masern-Mumps-Röteln (MMR) Impfung - meine Hausärztin will mich als Erwachsenen nicht mehr impfen, aber ich habe gelesen, das 2 Lebenszeit-Dosen verlangt werden?

Mein Impfpass sagt ich sei 1984 und 1986 (mit 1 und 3 Jahren) gegen Masern geimpft wurden. Dann wurde ich 1993 (10 Jahre) mit dem MMR Impfstoff aufgesfrischt. Desweiteren hatte ich als Klein-Kind sowohl Röteln als auch Mumps (im Impfpass dokumentiert) und wurde als Teenager nochmal separat gegen Röteln geimpft, wie das damals Standard war.

Also eigentlich bin ich sowas von abgedeckt... aber wie wird das beim Medical ausgelegt?

Ganz ehrlich, ich habe noch nie von einem Hausarzt gehoert der eine Impfung verweigert, insbesondere nicht MMR. Vielleicht solltest du den Hausarzt wechseln. Lol. Wie auch immer, gleiche Impfgeschichte wie du, habe mich aber auch nochmal kurz vorher ne MMR verpassen lassen (also meine 4. schon, und ich bin 30). Du kannst auch noch zehn weitere MMR in deinem Leben bekommen und es passiert nichts, das hat mit dem erwachsen sein eigtl nichts zu tun.Ich weiss dass die USCIS komisch sein kann. Also ich wuerde unbedingt nochmal auffrischen. Evtl wird der Arzt hier nichts sagen, aber wenn du dein AOS machst, kann das nochmal ne komische Geschichte werden und fuer Probleme sorgen. Also lieber gleich in Dtl alles durchimpfen. Nur weil du das Medical hier in Dtl. passierst, heisst doch noch nicht, dass du die Vorraussetzungen fuer das AOS erfuellst.

Hinweis: Wenn bei dir alles bis in den Herbst dauert, vergiss nicht die Grippe-Impfung!!!!!!! Wird nicht fuer K1 in Dtl verlangt, aber spaeter fuer AOS in den USA. Das nachtraeglich zu impfen ist so ne Sache, da hast du mega Trubel. Du braeuchtest dann ein neues Vaccination Sheet. Viele Aerzte in den USA die USCIS approved sind haben keine Ahnung, und unterschreiben das nur bei neuem Medical (rund 350 USD). Deswegen, lass dich nochmal schoen durchimpfen und du kannst dir das alles sparen, und bist auf der sicheren Seite.

Hey, also mir wurden nur vier Fragen gestellt, wo wir uns kennengelernt haben, seit wann wir zusammen sind, was sie macht, und was ich mache. Das war alles, hat 3 Minuten gedauert und sehen wollte niemand irgendwas.

Ich glaube es hängt sehr stark von den Gegebenheiten ab. Wir sind schon seit 4 Jahren zusammen...hatten letztes Jahr bereits für ein halbes Jahr zusammengelebt und hatten uns über die 4 Jahre regelmäßig besucht. Was soll man da schon für Zweifel haben? Oder? Das gleiche Gefühl hatte ich auch beim Interview in PoE gehabt, und witzigerweise wurden mir dort genau die selben Fragen gestellt. ehrlich gesagt bin ich der Meinung, dass der ganze Prozess halt eine Formalie ist, die gemacht werden muss. Es geht nicht darum den Leuten die Gelegenheit zu nehmen mit seiner/m Liebsten zusammen zu sein. Also je nachdem wie ihr euren Case vorbereitet habt, brauchst du dir keine Gedanken machen. Hi..got my vaccines transcribe by Dr. Jhin Lin in fremont also for $50.. at first when I called for an appointment, the secretary said they will charge $120 for skin test and etc..when I get there I just explained that my medicals in the Phils.are still valid and all I want is for them to transcribe my vaccines in I-693 form..they gave me additional flu shot to complete my record for another $20 and handed me a sealed envelope..that's it and we're done..I did it with my K2 also..

That's why I proposed to open up a visible link etc with doctors transcribing the vaccination record only. I had to call numerous places, and even went to numerous places to find a doctor understanding what to do (I also just needed the flu shot). So I got it done for 30 USD, without redoing the med exam.

I saw that list, but is outdated by far. Cause actually I was trying that first. Also it is difficult to access or find for members...just my opinion. I will put mine on it, just saying.

Okay, I didnt want to take any risks, just sharing my experience. I did go see a civil surgeon (actually more than one), can tell you, it's quite a problem finding somebody who only does the transfer and signs that form. Most want to perform a full medical (360 USD), and other than that I actually didnt find. Even though I was calling before to inform about my situation, and they agreed to do so, in the clinic, there was no way of getting that signature. However, luckily, at some point I found one, who knew what to do, transferred my ds3025, and I only paid 30 USD!!! 30!!!!!! So, I imagine, I'm not the only one with that problem, so what could be really helpful, and I mean really really helpful, is to have a list with contacts from every major city on here. So people know where to go, and don't struggle. I just had luck today...and found the right one through a recommendation from another listed cs. Without appointment, took 15 minutes in total. But it was just luck.

Can anybody tell me what is meant by this? This seems to be required for AP application. They do not specifically mentioned what document they are referring to, but require anything issued by USCIS showing my present status. I got nothing showing that I'm on a K1, except the VISA in my passport, but is that issued by USCIS?

Expecting the adjudicator will pick up the case after march? and even there will be a ref, it actually doesn't really matter, right? I mean by then itll be past march and you are good to go? I mean no hurry with that one, it's more that I want to have the working permit, that I need to file with the i-485

Well that's exactly what I said, lol. I was literally being frustrated why they just didnt tell me in the first place when I was at a doctor 2 weeks ago, and now I have to go again to get a stupid flu shot! I mean I was literally asking if everything is complete. I could have just got the same day for whatever couple of euro, but instead I have to go to a civil surgeon and pay whatever ridiculous amount only because I'm missing a flu shot requirement that expires end of march!!! I had just recovered from a flu like cold...this is simply the most retarded requirement for a green card...

If not marked complete or eligible for a waiver then you need to get it transcribed by a CS.

It's flu season so yes you still need a flu shot, you can get it anywhere just as long you get it transcribed to a I-693 by a CS.

Sometimes I hate everything, so why didnt she tell me in Germany and gave me that ###### flu shot (what doesnt even make sense because its the vaccine from last year virus and this year its different). So now I have to ###### pay a whole ###### lot of money because I need to get it transcribed!!!!!! Aww so ridiculous!! I was gonna send everything by tomorrow. Now that because of a ###### flu shot. Many people don't have a complete immunization record abroad. If your DS3025 does not have everything marks complete, you need to redo the entire I-693 at a civil surgeon in the US.

I'm struggling, as many others, with the medical requirements. In the instructions, it clearly states there is no need to include a i-693, if medical was done within 1 year, only submit vaccination report (DS 3025), so why does it say here, to do so??? and everybody else seems to attach that too? I'm confused, and look for clarity?!

ich habe 3 wochen gewartet. 4 wochen kann schon gut möglich sein. müsste aber sicher sehr bald kommen. ich schlage vor alles vorzubereiten, dann hast du auch schon bald dein interview termin
