Pardon me for worrying a lot. I have been away from my wife and daughter for so long and I really cannot bear having more delays. 

I have waited for this day for so long and its really worrying if there will be delays. 

My wife (principal applicant) and my daughter (derivative) took their medical exam in SLEC Tuesday (April 4).

They were asked to return April 6 cause the TST for my daughter requires it to pass for 48 hours.

My wife's medical result was given in the morning (with the sealed enveloped).

However, my daughter needed to go for a confirmatory xray due TST result. But after the xray, she was cleared and they were asked to go back after lunch. 

During the releasing for my daughter, the releasing staff ask about a scar on my daughters right arm which was noted by the doctor who did their physical exam the first day. 

My wife was not aware of this and when asked during the releasing about the scar, she said that there is none. They were asked to go back to the immunization doctor to confirm. 

The immunization doctor ask my wife and my wife said she is not aware of any scar. Then my wife told the doctor, that the scar that was noted may have come from the recent immunization my daughter had last March 25. So the immunization doctor cleared the note on the scar. 

When they went back to the releasing personnel, the releasing personnel called the immunization doctor to confirm about the changes on the scar.

And the doctor did confirm the changes that there is none. 

Our worry is that, there was no sealed enveloped given to my daughter, only the CD, the immunization record and the passport. 

The releasing personnel said they will forward the result to USEM directly. We are really worried why the result for my daughter was not given, while my wife was given hers. 

Anybody who experience similar case, please give some inputs.

Returning resident = she entered on an SB-1?

My daughter is a returning resident who arrived Feb of 2016. Her green card still has not arrived. Three months ago, she called the SFO airport immigration office, where she had her POE, to follow-up and was told she's following up too early. She made a call again and and now receiving confusing instructions on where to check. The SFO airport immigration office is now telling she needs to call USCIS. I need some help on where we can follow up her green card.

Both petitioner and beneficiary will receive NOA.

Although, expect to received it very delayed in the Philippines knowing how "efficient" the post office is there.

It's your green card. If you still does not have your green card, its the one the US embassy attached to your passport. The one in your passport serves as a temporary I-551 for one year (from your arrival) while you still don't have your green card.

I totally agree that this is more of ignorance rather than companies being strict.

My daughter who just migrated here in the US last Feb, 2016, was recently employed and have to point out to the HR of the company that the stamp in her passport, is listed at the back of the i9 form, as a valid document to prove eligibility to work.

Sad but true, it s more of ignorance.

My mom will be having her interview next week (Thursday) for IR-5. I was wondering if you guys can give me any ideas what are the questions being asked during interview?

This is a case to case basis.

Based on my experience, the first interviewer (Filipino) did ask questions on name of petitioner, where my son is, have I traveled abroad and even ask for pictures with me and my son together. (Basically just validated the identity of me and my son)

The CO (American lady) did not ask any serious questions. She just looked at me and said you already have a 22 y/o son? And we joke around for a while and that's about it.

That's right the 325 fee. I'm already waiting for the interview. Were not sure what document needed for her. My husband is afraid that it might affect my petition since he is not the biological father. If ever I pay the 325 fee on the interview is it possible? Thanks

Not sure what you mean that your petition might get affected. As I understand, she is a derivative because the child is yours, not necessarily child of the petitioner. I am not an expert and you can ask the others who might know about this.

But In my opinion, it should not affect your petition.

Like for example, if I petition my son or daughter who has a child (my grandchild), the child (my grandchild) is a derivative because the child (my grandchild) is the child of the beneficiary (my son or daughter), not because of the direct relation to the petitioner.

I don't recall any question in the form I-130 asking about the relationship between the petitioner (your husband) and the derivative child (your child) of the beneficiary (you).

Not sure if you can pay during the interview. I assume you have not completed your child's DS260 since you have not paid for her. The documents to send are the child's birth certificate, passport bio page photocopy, pictures (2x2 check the requirements on the picture)

And how did you say you are already waiting for interview? Have you submitted any documents to NVC? Did you already received an email from NVC that the documents you sent are complete and you are in queue for interview?

Btw, I am also assuming your husband is a permanent resident and not US citizen.

I am a single mom when I married my spouse which is an LPR. He filed a petition for me and we are now waiting for the interview. Based on the email that was sent to us we need to pay the IV for my daughter as well but I choose no to. My question is if I decide to get my daughter do I need to file another petition or I just need to pay her IV processing fee since she was also included in my petition. And how long do I have for me to be able to get my daughter ASAP. Thanks in advance

Your daughter is a derivative right? You should be able to bring her with you. I am just wondering why are you not paying the IV fee for your daughter?

The IV fee you are mentioning, is this the $325? Have you sent the AOS and IV package to NVC? Just trying to understand where in the process you are in.

DS 260 has been submitted to NVC and its been over 30 days (5th week) but there's no feedback of the interview schedule from NVC yet, is this normal? All fees and additional requirements are settled.

This sucks! F2A moved 10 days. Frustrating.

That's what I was told too. About 2 years to approval. My priority date will be current in about June based on the trend and still haven't gotten an approval. I'm going to call tomorrow and let you guys know what I am being told by Uscis.

You are confusing me when you say 2 years to approval. You mentioned NOA2, which is the USCIS stage of the immigration process. This should normally take about 5 months. The two years I was mentioning was the whole immigration process. which includes the NVC process and the interview in for the person you petitioned in the US embassy in your country.

You are from a country that gets fast approvals because of the distaster that happened in your country a few years back...

You can't compare your case with others.

This has nothing to do with that. You were mentioning a scenario 3 years back. If you check the visa bulletin now, the current priority date is Oct 22, 2014. Not only for my country but for others as well, except mexico.

Which means visa for those F2A filers last October 22 2014 already have available visa. So I am not sure where the 5 years approval from USCIS is coming from for an F2A preference.

OP is an LPR not a USC.

We are on the same preference. I am an LPR and filed a petition for my wife June 2015. Got NOA2 August 2015.

Approval from USCIS should not take 5 years for F2A. The whole process (from filing of petition i130 to visa interview) as of current trend even take just about 2 years.
