Marie&Rufus got a reaction from Ikedi in ikoyi marriage registry
My advice is let him go the registry to make inquiry if he lives within Lagos or have someone go inquire for him.About three years ago when i went making inquiry at Ikoyi registry i was asked to bring 2 or 3 passport photos of myself & wife, photocopy of her International Passport data page, being that she isn't a Nigerian, proof of spinsterhood or divorce decree, & i was asked to pay almost #70,000 because i was marrying a non-nigerian.After some research we decided marrying at a local government area where i'm resident & not Ikoyi. We later understood that all marriage license issued by accredit body, be it a church, mosque,Local government registry or even Ikoyi Registry is accepted by the US Consulate in Lagos. So do your research.

Marie&Rufus got a reaction from Ebunoluwa in Nigerian embassy communication call log proof need help
Its frustrating when peoples' lives especially married couples are being put on hold for too long bcos of someone not being convinced that their relationship is bona fide.I understand the important need to protect the US,but it seems that some COs are over zealous in this regard. The current US immigration process needs a revamping. Its unhealthy for the US society the way bona fide couples lives are being subjected to extreme & long waiting.Ebunoluwa,i share your feelings of bitterness & pain.Asianya, our visa processing in no longer with the NVC.I had my 1st inteview last November but the CO returned our petition bcos she said she wasn't convince my relationship with my wife is bona fide, after reaffirmation by USCIS we had a 2nd interview scheduled last month.I'm currently placed on AP.my thoughts to you is be very prepared,& if you're bona fide you'll eventualy be issued your visa.Take good care.
