  1. I sent in the paper work for my 10 year green card. They accepted it and cashed the checks. They sent me a one year extension letter for my 2 year green card. Unfortunately the extension letter expires November 13, 2017. I've tried over and over to get an appointment but no luck and when I called they say to keep trying different hours of the day. I'm worried that I won't get an appointment before my extension letter expires.

  2. Hey everyone. I got my check cashed on Monday 08/29/16 and received a notice of action for I-751 receipt. It states, "your conditional resident status is extended for a period of one year. During the one year extension, you're authorized employment and travel. You will be receiving an ASC appointment letter for finger prints, photo, and signature." The new letter which I will receive, will give me application number to look up my status on USCIS website.

  3. Hi there!

I was in same condition as you, and I did not have to go for any interview. All I did was fill up an application at BLS with all of the supporting documents. They gave me my passport in 4 days because I needed to go back to India in the same week.

    Hi All,

I am an Indian citizen currently preparing my documents to re-issue my Indian passport (expired couple of weeks ago).

I came to the US in August 2007 on F1 visa. My F1 visa expired in May 2012 (shortly after I received Green Card in March 2012).

The BLS website mentions that if I am applying for passport re-issue, and if my visa has expired, I should visit the Chicago consulate in person for an interview.

Would this also be applicable in my case, even though I have a Green Card now?

I would appreciate if you guys could share your experience, or let me know if I am missing out on something.

    Thanks much!

  4. A question for those who have been approved and gotten their green cards already since the new website update.. How do you know when your actual card is mailed ? It doesn't say "card prodcution" like the last one, it just says my welcome notice was mailed. Does the card come with the welcome notice or is that coming first and then the card follows?

The welcome notice will come in a form of a letter. Within the same week you will get your Green Card and the website will say your card has been mailed and once USPS picks up your card from USCIS station...the website will start showing the tracking number.

  5. So happy for you!!

    Finally!

    thanks a lot..

Yayyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations everyone who are getting progress.

    Thank you in advance guys!!!!

yupp u just need passport ,EAD and marriage license..

  6. Hey guys, just got back into town, the interview went well will post my review after this.

Interview was scheduled for 8:30, we arrived at 7:50, went through security and showed the gaurd our interview notice. He instructed us on where to place it. We got called in at 8:40ish and we got in the elevator to leave at 8:58. Hubs was concerned cause some people that came in later than we did had gone in to interview. Our IO called us and walked us in, told us to remain standing while we took the oath.

Next she asked to see ID,then we went over the I-485, my name, address, phone number, yes and no questions. She did the same thing with the I-130. After verifying the information in the forms, she asked if we had a lease, we provided a notarized copy, she asked if we had a copy for our records,we said no, and she said she would make a copy, I thought that was nice, cause I hear some IOs, have you go out of the building to make copies. She asked if we had more recent bills, I provided and told her that I also have our wedding album, she flipped through and I commented. I also gave her our bank and credit card statements, she didnt want them cause we had submitted previous copies, she took them though.

Then she asked about our relationship, where did we meet, when, how, how long did we date, where did we go to, when we got engaged, when and where we were married. When did my husband move in, when did we move to our current house and if we've always lived together since we were married.

We answered her questions accordingly and at the end she said it all looked good, and we should get the GC in 1 to 2 weeks, she also said the I-130 approval notice might come before or after the GC. She explained that the GC would invalidate the EAD, so to cut that in half when I get the GC. She also said to update my employer, I asked if I had to always carry it with me and she said to make a copy, and to try to always carry it, but that most people don't. At this point she started to walk us out and I asked if we would get the Conditional GC and she said yes, and said to send a lot of information, so we dont have to interview again. She also said that they usually mail a reminder 6 months before your conditional GC expiration date.

That's all folks, just waiting on the website updates.

She did npt take my I-94, or my H1B I-94.

    congratulations....

What? I thought people getting deferred action were not eligible for service requests..

    I'm super confused now.

i figured out later was i made an account on usics site after their upgrade ...and i had my notifications off...maybe thts why i didn get thm...but i turnd thm on now..lets see if i get any for mailing process..!
