  1. a friend was stopped at POE, and they begin聽to interview him telling him he overstay one day his ESTA visa.聽

They were really insistent聽telling him they believed he was working last time he was in USA.聽

They retain him and question him several hours and he admitted he was working just to get out of there. They say you can come in but this will be in your records now.

He admitted聽because they told he will get detained and because he got wife and kids in his country he was trying to end the interview fast and live back to his country but instead they allow him to enter USA.

What are the consequences of this? they didnt聽place any weird stamp in his passport just a 3-month normal allowance to stay in USA聽but when he arrived to the hotel he realized he never overtay聽in USA before. he was play I guess?聽

Please what will happen to him now?

He never will be able to use ESTA again? will he be able to get a business聽or tourist聽visa?聽

I keep checking the post and smiling with the joy of the ones that already got approved. So far I saw only one RTF ...

I keep checking my mail just in case but the same screen pop up ...waiving the fees! LOL I have been out of the country several times and in none of them I have had any issues but聽the last one traveling from europe聽they pass me to secondary ...just 15 minutes dealy nothing else. !聽

lets smile and we will not remember this in 10 years LOL good luck to everyone and cross my fingers to a miracle happens that expedite our cards process....

what if we dont聽become US citizens? we will need to pass over the same in 10 years? or its automatic?

So yesterday i came back to the US with the expired green card and the renewal letter.. They took me to secondary -_-聽I had to wait there for like 10 minutes and then someone called my name and gave me my passport and everything all stamped.. no questions asked.. I was just surprised the IO just casually took me to secondary for no apparent reason ..

I came back to US with the expired green card too and same thing ...secondary 10 minutes wait and call my name passport on hand no questions. 6 month already since I sent this...someone think will be a year of waiting?

  5. Oh Im聽worry about the new passport because it took聽more than 6 months to renovate it from my consulate. 聽I am afraid because in all the papers on USA聽Green card petition when we send the copies of the passport etc etc聽will be the old passport numbers indeed.

My green card when I travel will be linked with the numbers of my old passport.

But you are right maybe I should travel with the old and the new one just to show them on the POE.

  6. Hi to all,

My passport is ready to expire and I'm聽still waiting聽for the ROC. (seems all the process take 10 or 11 months聽)

Every time I need a new passport they change all the numbers on it.聽

I am waiting for the ROC and all the paperwork was done with the passport number that is ready to expire.

Do you see a potential problem here when I go for an interview (or maybe not) and all my documents in the green card are with my old passport number? Should I do something in USCIS when I receive my new passport?

    Thank you

Yeah, I'd seen that previously, but the N400 guide on VJ states it this way, that made me wonder

Generally, certain lawful permanent residents married to a U.S. citizen may file for naturalization after residing continuously in the United States for three years if immediately preceding the filing of the application the applicant has:

聽聽been married to and living in a valid marital union with the same U.S. citizen spouse for all three years
聽聽the U.S. spouse has been a citizen for all three years and meets all physical presence and residence requirements
聽聽the applicant meets all other naturalization requirements

Using the term "residing" doesn't necessarily require permanent residency.

Yes I was sure the same thing 聽but re-reading聽it seems that they assume is green card no only residency

  8. something is missing here ...why would you want your son to have something to do with an abuser? why you will risk your life again? why you want to came back to USA? Since NHS provides free care its quite suspicious you decide to have your son abroad and not in any place else in USA. Just for you to be aware, in case you decide to get him the USA passport they will do a genetic test. Thay will check if the USA citizen is the real parent.

No, and as far as I know it's not going to. People on here have said it's only gonna change when you get an approval. Others have gotten their green card without it ever changing.聽

I wouldn't bother checking it to be honest. If anything just turn on email/text notifications

Thank you!!!!! nice to hear that I m not alone ! ...its the final count down聽!!! tururuntin聽:lol:
