My personal opinion, I would remove the lawyer and send in the corrections myself. Although they have made the mistake, he is not owning up to it. He doesn't want to be held accountable it seems. I would demand to have my money refunded as well, since he caused you a delay twice. Also, please speak with a supervisor and see if they can let you take the corrections to the interview since the second time around, you missed something that was already there in the first place.
Soloenta posted nvc's directors number here on the thread, have your husband call him and see if a solution can be sought out.

NVC schedules interview either the last two days of the month or the beginning two days of the following month. For this month they will either begin oct 30th, 31st OR nov 3rd and 4th.
I'd say to save yourself the trouble of being on hold for hours and wait until those dates.
Also, once they schedule your interview, you get the interview letter within 2 days. You won't have to wait for weeks to hear the good news, if you decide to not call them.

they are so unfair! People have had senators call in and they've expedited their cases within days and they keep saying it isn't possible at this point. What does that even means?

Yes it's very difficult to call these days! Even at 7:01, you can expect to be delayed for about 20-30 mins.

I know you guys, samreen and soloenta, feel very frustrated and think the end is never near but trust me it'll change one day. We're all destined in life to be somewhere and we all get there with patience. Samreen you mentioned that your marriage is getting effected by this process then trust me when I say this, a case complete doesn't help actually. NVC might end the wait but then a new concern of getting through the interview and settling with a new life begins. These worries never end basically.
I seriously pray for everyone and wish no one has to go through this. Even when someone mentions something about getting married in another country, I'm always like don't do it. Or prepare yourself for the worst if you want to. This whole process is terrible and it not only breaks a relationship, it breaks down the individual completely too. May God help us all.

Have you emailed them about something? If so, that counts as a document too. But if you haven't then give them a call and find out.

Yes it might seem very unfair, but everyone has their individual battles to fight in life. Maybe God is giving those a little break since they probably need it the most. Everything always happens for a reason and we can never understand each other's reasonings, nor can we put ourselves in others shoes.

Really supervisor Ike didn't help you? I had the same issue, they said my marriage certificate was a copy and then I spoke with Ike. Although he sounds like a robot and insisted they had a copy and not the original, I was adamant that I had sent in an original PLUS a copy! The signatures on my original certificate were in blue with a blue seal so I told him how could it be a copy. After 3 mins of discussion he said he would look into it and that he would call me back; which he never did. But I called back a day later and it was all fixed.
He sounds like a jerk but he really isn't. He helped me right away. I really hope and pray they accept your certificate.
