  1. I have done both with the visa thing. I've gotten it in June through the Houston Egyptian Consulate as I live not too far from it. One time I got it at the airport and that was in 2007. 2006 & 2015 I got through Washington DC and Houston.

did you get it single or multiple visits ?

and how long is it good for ?

  2. Hmmm, I just noticed you have a timeline that says you already had an interview last year November?

yes , i did a fiance visa last year .it usually took 2 months for the embassy to schedule an interview after you send packet 3 . i think things changed now and your fiance should be able to log on and schedule an interview himself.hopefully some one who had his interview lately can help you more with this.

  3. I attended the interview with my fiancé at the embassy in Cairo. I definitely think it helped.

There's no way to know for sure whether it had any impact on our case.

But it certainly made the stress for my fiancé and I a bit less. Just being next to each other for support is invaluable.

    thank you ! and congratulations.

did they interview both of you together ? or asked you to wait until they finish with him ?

what was the questions if you remember ?

  4. my case is the same exactly as your gf . i was approved a k1 in November last year, however after i entered the united states ,i found out that my american fiancee was cheating on me ,So we didnt get married, and i came back home later on before my visa expire.

now im in a relationship with a different american girl ,and im debating myself whether to go the k1 route again ,which is alot shorter in time ( coz who wants to be distant from their other half ) ,or get married and go for CR1 which takes almost twice the k1 time .

each one has its pros and cons...so hopefully some one here who had similar experience,or knows some one who did, would put on more light regarding this.

    it's not an easy choice.

  5. if you send all you need you wouldn't get an RFE.

RFE is a request for evidence left out.

I made the mistake of not submitting all required documents. Its in the directions but i submitted all but the Imbra.

RE: General Waiver for multiple filers

    To Whom It May Concern:

In compliance with the International Marriage Broker Regulation Act (IMBRA), I respectfully request a waiver on the filing limitations in connection with my current petition. A waiver is appropriate in my circumstance because I have no criminal history with regard to the “specified crimes” under IMBRA.

I have one prior approved Form I-129F for [NAME], receipt number [RECEIPT #]. This petition was approved on [DATE], and resulted in...

Evidence to support this waiver includes:

    [YOUR EVIDENCE]

Thank you for your kind consideration of my request.

    Sincerely,

Explain what happened with your previous petition, and include evidence to support it. You say the first visa was denied, then include as evidence the denial notice which states the reason you were denied.

thank you ,but no , my previous k1 visa was approved, but we didnt get married,so i came back home before my visa expires.

so should i send this waiver form with my papers and include relevant evidence ?

  6. I had similar k1 approved pending DNA on January 15, 2015 he then chose to take a family visa that came current. I applied for my new Fiancee March 2016 he was interviewed and approved no one even asked about other k1.

I got an RFE to send an Imbra waiver k1 approved with in two years of new petition.

can u tell me more about this REF and how you responded to it ?

  7. I think you'll have a better chance with a CR-1 also a CR-1 involves slightly less paperwork and fees, so there is that. But then you have to do a wedding and take photos and whatnot, and that can be stressful and cost money, too. Either way, your girlfriend/fiancee will have to know the basic and important details about your previous marriage, regardless of K-1 or CR-1. So, that's just one more bit of scrutiny that will be on both of you: knowledge of the previous relationship. Good luck!

    thank you

  8. A denied K1 is going to be sent back to USCIS and is left there to expire. A denied CR1 gets returned to USCIS with the chance of a rebuttal that needs to be submitted within 30 days of the letter notifying you. If USCIS is satisfied with your response they re affirm the petition and send it back to the embassy with recommendation to approve the visa. That's what I mean with that you can appeal. A denied K1 is a denied K1 with no second chance.

    I see

    thank you

At least you didnt stay illegally or do anything wrong.

Relationships end. If you went the k1 route these are highlight points. ;)

    yeah surely :)

im a bit confused . let me see if i get it right,,you are the american citizen, and you applied for fiance visa again with the same person,or some one else ?

  10. CR1 because if they deny you a K1 (which is not unlikely given the circumstances you described) you can not appeal and have a second interview.

Be prepared to get scrutinized a lot. This will look very fishy to an officer. You just got out of a serious relationship and had the K1 and immediately have the next American partner available to get you another visa again. Front load your petition.

can you appeal if you got denied CR1 ?

  11. Are you the petitioner or the beneficiary? How much time has passed since your prior K1?

Edit: OK, I have read your other post. I think since only very little time has passed since your prior K1, you will have to expect a lot of scrutiny. If you use the search function of this forum, you should be able to find threads posted by others on the same topic.

    thank you

    roger that

very much appreciated , thank you!

  13. Hello guys, has any one applied for a k1 for a 2nd time with a different person ?

did it work ? or is it better to get married and go through CR1 ?

if any one on here seen similar topic ,please refer it to me , or if you had a similar experience or knows some one who did ,please kindly share it with me .
