-
Are you trying for Djibouti?[/quote
Yes
Are you trying for Djibouti?[/quote
Yes
Did anyone try to transfer their case other than Djibouti
-
Just got an email for nvcexpedite...they didn't accept it all the said that he didn't appear in the list of refugees:( I thought they would atleast accept and send it to anywhere
-
They haven't replied back to my expedite and im getting impatient
Interesting my case was expedited to Cairo. Then they accepted to transfer it to Ethiopia. I still have the same case number. But today I checked and it said it updated today. So they must of just got it at Ethiopia.
Congrats that's what you wanted right for it to be transferred to Ethiopia, better than Egypt
-
He got it within the next day. So when your husband arrives there let him send you a copy of his visa and a copy of his passport and then email nvcexpedite again and include them in your email. And inshallah they will accept.[/quote
Thanks.. Inshallah we all get through this as quick as possible
-
Yea it was still at nvc..and yes i did mention that i wanted it transferred to Djibouti and also sent them a copy of my husbands passport aswell as his Djibouti visa.
How did he get his Djbouti visa and how long did it take? I sent in a expedite email to expedite it to Djibouti but he doesn't have a Djbouti visa and I didn't send his passport ... Do u think they might accept or reject?? I should have included that he will be obtaining a visa when he arrives there.

So i got an email that the us embassy accepted my expedite transfer to Djibouti. What happens next?
When u sent the expedite was ur case still at the Nvc? And in your expedite email did you tell them that u wanted to expedite to Djibouti
-

Which embassy did they send it to

Ohhh lol they paused the air strikes in yemen to get aid in the country now I am having doubts that they will accept mine
-
It varies. Me took 5 days. And I helped a friend expedite his and they literally just accepted it 5mins ago. It took his 8 days.
No plans yet still working on it. Maybe buy a camel and hit the dessert lol jk
5 min!! No way! What did he write !

Mine said ready today. I think they schedule the appointment. I sent them an email to ask them for an appointment. I don't even see an option to schedule an appointment. Today's task is to figure out how long til we get an interview. And how to get to Cairo
How long did u stay until they responded back after sending them the expedite

I havent heard anything about Jordan..thats the thing with calling NVC each representative tells you something different.
Yea they all tell us different things that why I wa suprised when she told me Jordan... Does Jordan need visa to go there
I called nvc and they pretty much told me to wait until an interview date is available in Cairo. I sent an expedited request yesterday and I got an email back today stating this. I stated how bad it was gettin in Yemen and the living situation.
Dear Sir/Madam:
The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition:------------- filed by----------on behalf of ------------------.
Thank you for your inquiry. The National Visa Center (NVC) is transferring all immigrant visa cases for Yemeni citizens to the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, Egypt until our embassy in Sana'a resumes consular operations.
The NVC will first schedule interviews for cases that had already been sent to the embassy in Sana'a for interviewing, and for cases that are documentarily qualified (meaning all the required documents have been submitted to the NVC) with non-expired documents. We will process these cases in date order. The NVC will contact you by email when it is time for you to begin processing your case.
If you wish to change from Cairo to another U.S. Embassy for processing your immigrant visa application, please email your request to IVYemen@state.gov. Please include the post where you wish to process and the following information:
o Your NVC case number or USCIS receipt number
o The principal applicant's name and date of birth
o The petitioner's name
So does they mean they denied the expedite or accept it

I sent my expedite request and called Nvc to ask how long will it take and I told them that I sent them an email to expedite it to Djibouti and they said the expedite for cases in yemen are being sent to Jordan for expedite since I am requesting an expedite.. Is that true ? Does anyone know
-
I was told for case transfer, my husband would have to be a resident or reside there for a month or so, was this true in your case?
Who told you that? Was it the Nvc
-
My case is still at NVC. It hasnt gone to Egypt yet. That is why i requested a transfer to Djbouti because it was more convenient for my husband to get to Djbouti then it was to Egypt.
But when you expedited it, did u expedite it after transfer of the case
-
I guess it takes around 10 days for them to file it. Originally Ethiopia accepted my case but stupid nvc sent it to Cairo instead. I'll take what I can get.
Try to avoid Egypt. If they let you expedite to any other country its a lot easier. Once it's at a embassy your pretty much screwed. It's soooooo difficult to transfer from one embassy to another.[/quote
But can I expedite my case because of the war if I transfer my case to Djibouti and he goes there? Are they going to say that he's out of the war and is in Djibouti
-
In transit since last Thursday
Why don't you try calling them and ask them how long it takes... I called Nvc today asking them to transfer and expedite my case and they said that I should first transfer the case to Djibouti and then expedite it that way the expedite won't go throught embassy in Egypt? What do u think? Cos the reason I wanted to expedite was the war in yemen, can I still expedite it for the same reason even if he will be in Djibouti
-
Djibouti inshallah!
Did you first transfer your case to Djibouti instead of it going to Egypt and then expedite it after wards?
-
I just got an email from IVYemen stating that my case is under review for the expedited transfer.how long did it take for them to let u know whether they accepted your expedited request or not.
Where's the expedite request going to Djibouti or Egypt?
Can take a week or so but mine took 2 or 3 days I believe. Keep checking the status they don't always send a email approval. It should say in transit of its accepted
Does yours still say in transit or is it ready

I insisted on speaking with a supervisor. She put me on hold I made sujood and asked all to help me. Wallah the supervisor said " sir you have to wait til we review your documents" I then I told her of my situation and I tried to make her have a little empathy. She then told me let me call you back. I made duhur Salah. As soon as I was done she called me back and said sir your case is now complete. Crazy I know. Never under estimate the power of dua
Wow that's amazing mashallah

Djibouti... they sent me packet 3...it says to complete the ds260.. collect the documents (the IV dox and aos).. take the visa fee $325.. and as soon as everything is ready to schedule an appointment... doesn't it take 60 days for the ds260 to be processed?
Did u first transfer your case to be processed to Djibouti instead of Egypt? And then did u expedite it after it was transferred there ?
Don't worry make lots of dua. Wallah of only you know how luck I got with my case and it's all cause of lots of dua and prayer from and and my wife. They completed my case over the phone. Just take it one step at a time you'll get through this soon. In Shaa Allah
How did u complete your case on the phone that's so nice and fast mashallah

But after I transfer it to Djibouti, what can be my excuse for the expedite because he would have to go there when I transfer or else they won't accept it, and when he's in Djibouti when I expedite it, aren't they going to be like that he's not in yemen because my excuse was of the war In yemen... Ιм confused on what I should doFirst send a request to Djibouti and if they accept send that email to nvc and tell tell to transfer it there.
once it leaves for Egypt your pretty much stuck there.
But nvc don't always go by the rules because Ethiopia excepted my petition but nvc wouldn't transfer it there

ConsularCairoIV@state.gov
Have her send one with her info.
I'm surprised she hasn't already, Or anyone else for that matter
I will let tell her to... Do you know if I could expedite my case but at the same time I want to tell them to give me an interview to Djibouti or should I expedite it first and then transfer?
-
Thanks for trying... Was the email u used consularcairoiv? Does anyone know if Jordan will accept cases? Like what if we transfer them to there?

Why is everyone expediting their cases to Egypt, when you know they won't be able to get Egyptian visa and end up transferring it to Djbouti. Does it matter it someone transfer their cases from Nvc to Djbouti or from Egypt to Djibouti? Is there a difference please let me know
