I have a quick question. I had lost my orginal Birth certificate, years back. Now I have applied with the issuing authority for a replacement & I got the replacement. On the replacement , they have mentioned in bold letters DUPLICATE . Will that be an issue while submiting to NVC ?

just a small question

- DO I really need to send the original civil Documents to NVC for my CR1 processing ? Can I just make a covering letter and mention on that the originals will be submitted to the Consular officer during the interview at the Consulate ?

Its mainly because I was born in a different country & if NVC does not return my birth certificate then I wont be able to replace it ?

I just got an email from NVC with this Subject line CASE#(AIVF FOR NEOPOST DS-1200)

I found the invoice for IV Fee in the attachment.When I went in to pay that it shows the field as empty Where it used to show benefictiory name & does not show the invoice amount of $325 instead just $0

Any similar experiences??

Btw, I just opened my case on the system , we were waiting for the acceptance of the DS-261 but how do i know that they finished reviewing it ?

today on the invoices area for the IV I cannot find my name its blank ?? till last friday my name was there. Does that ring a bell to any of you guys here?

it is due to people like this that some Genuine cases also get looked up as fraud and the govt imposes strict interviews. By reading the post itself we can clearly understand that she wants to gain citizenship first and then dump her US citizen husband. Its a clear cut fraud. Well Visa Journey is not a place to discuss immigration Fraud

We have submitted the AOS documents last week, how do I know if they have been scanned or not?

One more question Friend , I have one more question :

Is there a need to fill the documents in a particular color Ink ?

AOS (i-864) - Which color

& other forms which i color because i remember reading some thing about black color ink on some thread ?

Guys , we just send in our AOS Package on 2 September and we had paid the fee last week and also completed the DS 261.

My Question is "Approximately how many more months should we wait for the Consulate interview ?"

We are just getting frustrated on this . Else can we also file or 129F will that be processed faster than this ?

my wife is completing our AOS Documents now, while filling the form we are having a doubt

- should we fill the i864ez or just the i864. This doubt arises because we were not able to find a barcoded form for the i864ez but can find a barcoded one for i864. We fullfill all conditions for i864EZ but not able to find a barcoded version of that - Please Advice

Guys , I am now running into Depression & anxiety

We received the notice from NVC with the case # and other details but the Benificteries name appears like this < Full name, FNU, > My first name is shown as FNU and the surname Field shows my Full name. Its because on my indian passport , the field for surname is empty .

I was told about this issue earlier by a friend , so I got my passport reissued with proper break up of the name . Surname & given names filled in appropriately. Now i would like to know how can i Update the same in my Immigration docs so that FNU is removed from my name

Guys, hope you guys would have seen my post last week when I called NVC and they told they have received the package from uscis on Aug 6 but it will take upto 60 days for them to Generate case Id. I gave them a casual Call yesterday & They told me that the case is updated and they have send me a notice by mail to my Address to pay the AOS free and DS261 Form. Now whats the next step .

Can I file everything online?

I really feel Depressed After calling NVC today morning. It took me just less than 5 minutes to reach a live agent. I told him my Uscis case number LIN********** . He told me that they have received the case as of Aug 6 2014 and that they will take 60 business days to enter it into the system.

Thats too long .. and after that again time consuming process. I feel so Damn Depressed. This Separation is killing me!!!!

Hey Guys,

I just got my i130 approved yesterday , After going through posts and past experiences of members it seems like the nvc process will take a while (like 3-4 Months ) Approx. and maybe another 1-2 months for the consulate interview. Thats like over another 6 more months. I was thinking what if I apply for a visit visa and go to the USA and stay with my wife for 2-3 months and once NVC process is nearing completion , I can fly back to india for the medicals and the interviews.

I have the following questions

• Will I be granted the visit visa ( I intend to be honest to the consular officer and would like to tell them my true intend of being with her and to come back to the immigrant visa interview)
• Will I be stopped at the point of entry as i have a case running with the NVC.

I cant bear this seperation. I just got around 12 days in total with my wife and really long to be with her but would only want to enter USA in the right and honest way.

Please advise...

I am also a January filer for i130. My priority date was 01/14/2014 and we the case got approved as per USCIS Website status on 07/17/2014.
