Hi guys,

I have my interview on 21 August when hopefully my visa will finally be approved. However, I must leave my accommodation in London on 25 August. Therefore, I was wondering if any of you had their passport with the visa delivered outside of the UK.

On the website where you pay the MRV fee, they say they only deliver to the UK but since they are courier service I assume they could deliver all around the world.

Anybody has any experience with this?

Just got the letter now!!! Interview 21 August! So happy!!!

I actually broke the paper when I was opening the letter cos I was so excited. I hope it won't be a problem

Yes, mine was updated on 5 August as well. That muat have been when they got the medical results. But then it was updated again on 12 August so they must've sent the letter only then which seems like they took their sweet time with it.

I called the embassy this morning to ask if they can tell me when I was scheduled but they refused to tell me anything, just said I gotta wait for the letter.

Also called the DOS as advised in the guide on this forum but they said I need to call the NVC which I did but they also couldn't tell me anything. So seems like the letter is our only hope. Sure hope it'll arrive tomorrow since beefheart got it 2 days after the date on the letter.

Hi, cowboysgirlfriend! We have similar timelines! My case was updated again on 12 August, I believe that's when they sent the letter.

Thanks for your reply anyway. I was wondering how it'd have been if I would have done it in Romania, probably much faster and cheaper. How much does the medical cost in Romania btw?

But unfortunately I live in London and here the procedure is different. You can't call to schedule the interview. You have to wait for them to schedule you. So much suspense!

I just had my medical and they said the embassy will have the results on Wednesday, 6 August. So let's see how soon I get my interview date cos I just can't wait!

I thought we would have one topic where everybody shares these 3 dates in order for us to be able to easily estimate how long it will take for future applicants:

Medical date: 31 July 2014

Appointment letter date (the date when it was sent by the embassy and the date you received it at home):

Interview date:

Would be great to post in brackets after the date, how many days after the previous date (e.g. 14 days from Medical date to appointment letter received date)

I will post mine as soon as I'll have them. So far all I have is my medical.

I do follow the issue the DOS had with their systems but they are prioritizing immigration visas so I don't think we have reason to worry now that the system is back on track.

BTW, regarding setting my interview date, my priority date on the letter i got from the embassy informing me that they have the petition is 2 May. So ideally I'd need to have the interview before 2 September cos it's valid for 4 months. Afterwards, I need to submit a new intent to marry. So hopefully they consider that as well.

Yes, there's nothing I can do but wait now. Is anybody here that had the medical last week Tuesday or so who has already heard anything about their interview?

Thank you both for your prompt replies! I will be doing it in London, yes. Can't wait! Unfortunately I was not able to schedule it earlier than this Thursday. So now I have to wait until next week Thursday or more to hear about my interview date

Has anyone had their interview date before they attended their medical if you have already submitted the Notification of Applicant's Readiness form where you have stated when you have the medical?

From what I've read in other shipping threads, parcelmonkey is the best one price wise and they use dhl so it is safe. I have around 3 boxes of 20 kg each and one bike to ship. I plan to use parcelmonkey. I'll let you know how it went.

Thanks a lot for your informative post! I am having my medical this Thursday, 31 July and it really helps to know what to expect.

I have already filled the Applicant Readiness form on the embassy's website, mentioning the scheduled date for my medical and confirming the fact that I have gathered all necessary documents.

I was just wondering if they will already schedule me for an interview (should I be expecting the appointment letter?) or would they just wait to get the results from the medical before they schedule me. So do you have your interview date already?

Also. I have filled in the DS-160 form that I would like to enter the US to get married on 21 August. Do they consider that when setting appointment for the interview?

They don't do same day, but apparently it should only take 3 working days: 2 processing and 1 for the courier to get it to you.

Hi, guys! Sent out my letter of application for certificate of good conduct from the Netherlands today. Hopefully they will receive it in 3-5 days. How long does it take once they receive the request to send it to you? Also since I will be using it in London, UK does it need to be legalized with an apostille? I have not found on the form a place where you could thick that option. Thank you!
